He had the greatest male singing voice in the world there is so much character in it. Some songs are all about the lyrics and the way there spoken, no frills no stylised fashions just honest to goodness what you see is what you get talent. He'd piss over anybody today.

The "Auld Triangle" written by Brendan Behan during his incarceration for the murder of two Garda Síochána in Mountjoy Jail. The triangle was the metal triangle that was beaten by the screws (wardens) every morning to waken the inmates in Mountjoy Prison, it's still there. The song is the reflection of a fictionalized IRA man on the last day of his life when he is going to be hanged. Behan wrote it about himself in memory of the Easter Rising in 1916 ... The Royal Canal was built to carry freight by barge from Longford to Dublin.

Do you also feel the Belgians did a number on you Africans? Or the French, the Germans, the Portuguese?
Or is it just that its 'on point' to be perpetually outraged about the colonial exploits of Britain. All while more bloodthirstier affairs (the Belgian Congo for example) are allowed to wash into the sea of forgotten history.
(first gen. Brit born to Irish immigrants btw)
