What sump you had on on the 7a I was told u have to alter the small part of the sump for #3&4 rod so it won’t touch the sump
Mario Lashley I used the 4age 20v sump. Yea you have to. I gently hammered those areas out until the rods cleared. Hammer, turn crank, hammer until it all clears. Careful not to distort the lip of that pan that bolts to the block.

what the process of fitting that 20v head on the 7a block and making it work??
kirk frederick fitting the head is no problem. it bolts right up as the standard 4age block. The height however needs to be taken into consideration when timing the engine. There are a host of ways to do this. Cutting a new keyway in the crank timing gear is often the simplest and you retain the use of your vvt pulley..the other option is adjustable cam gears but then you lose vvt. The belt is another issue where you can either get a longer belt or mod the timing tensioner.
what about pistons rods and crank??
kirk frederick 4age pistons 7a rods and crank as the difference in the displacement comes from the stoke of the 7a crank. There is a lot of info out there on several 7age builds that you can research on the net.
