- Gul’dan’s efforts to corrupt the Iron Horde on Draenor have ended in failure. The Burning Legion is giving him one last chance to redeem himself by finding the Tomb of Sargeras… but he is already growing tired of the demons’ tight leash.

It's actually Earl Boen that voices them. Tony Jay's last voice work for Warcraft was in WC3.

Just how is this doing the expansion right?? Half your characters talents have been ripped out and put into a weapon you're locked into until the next expansion and a series of legendary items you may never see drop.

You have as many talents in WoD as you do in Legion. They're just not the same.
As for the artifact weapon, most of the upgrades are passive ones, that are put on top of your regular talenting.
No talents have been ripped out, no talents have been put into a weapon, and being locked into that weapon does not bring anything bad to the table. They're customizable, both in stats and appearance, and if you really don't like the look of them, you can still transmog them. I don't understand the criticism here.

I'm a huge fan of audio books and the Warcraft lore. This is awesome!
So... when I saw the advertisements for this thing I was like "Meh, probably going to be boring."... now that I actually listened to it I found it very fun and exciting. I was able to picture the scenario perfectly within my head with the great storytelling, voice acting and sound effects.
DONT STOP PLS MAKE MORE ! this was great
Considering this is only part one, I expect more in the future. I am eager for them as well.

Blizzard needs to make a whole bunch of these for critical lore points and characters. This is a great way to do lore in fine detail.
Sounds like Gul'dan traded voice with Gollum and Kil'jaeden took over Gul'dan's voice. :P

and Sargeras voice should sound like Sauron.... Best godlike villain voice ever heard. I get chills just thinking about it. "You cannot hide. I see YOU....".

considering she has no magic she'd be easy pickings. especially if ambushed like that...
Why did they have retcon her story... she went full serial killer killing dozens of night elves and almost killing Malfurion and her own brother. Which resulted in most of her Wardens dying and her brother rebuilding the order and with her fleeing in disgrace.
Though I suppose even before that blizzard has shown this character too much mercy. Considering that she covered up the circumstances of Tyrande almost resulting in the death of their leader merely because of her obsession with Illidan. After Malfurion found out by all rights she should have either been imprisoned for treason or executed.
She should have been executed a long time ago anyway. Especially after the events of WCIII. She openly charged after Illidan despite the fact that both her racial leaders pardoned him. So the jail sentence was no longer in charge. She did it anyway. That is high treason. Any other racial leader that wasnt malfurion would have her executed for that.
Well technically the Wardens see Malfurion and Tyrande as the traitors since they killed many of them when they freed Illidan and freed Illidan.
Shes got some kind of magic, although it isn't explained. The ability to blink and around and summon the avatar of Vengeance itself seems pretty magical.

What a phenomenal piece. If this level of dedication and quality continue throughout the two years to come, legion will definitely be the best expansion so far. Blizzard please, we're desperately trying to stay devoted.
I started playing PC games with Warcraft 2. So I'm very familiar with Gul'Dan's story. This is a continuation of sorts of that story and I'm loving it so far. Keep up the good work.

Imagine you read a book on a table in wow (like vanilla) and it tells you "story unlocked"
You go to the new story tab and click on it and this audio plays as the book writes the story.

I'm amazed at the amount of people confused at what this is or are complaining that this doesn't have more pictures or isn't animated. People, it's pretty much an audio book, you point your ear holes at the speakers and listen to a story being told. It truly is a wondrous technology.
I absolutely love audio books, I have any and all WoW books available in audio. This audio short is amazing! Thnx Blizz! Helluva gear up for what's coming. Loving the Harbinger series as well.

Like many, I was expecting video, but this brought me right back to listening to radio theaters when I was young, but with an intriguing plot to boot! 10/10, actually made me a little hyped for legion, when I wasn't really beforehand.
This is fantastic! Imagine an expansion with this level of care given to story/quests combined with such high caliber voice acting as this on display here...
This would be so much cooler if it had more pictures, or if it was done like these Lords of war series.

Love the old-time radio Audio Drama adaptation! I didn't dig whoever voiced Gul'dan in this, though. Why not the voice actor who was GD in-game??
It was all voiced by one person, like most audiobooks/plays are.
Understood that, regardless, didn't like his portrayal of Gul'dan. Made him sound like a Gollum ripoff.

Yep. I don't really like it, but when it comes to the legion, every version seems to be the exact same being, regardless of alternate timelines etc.
Nope. The legion transcends all realities. It's understandable not knowing this cos' it's only ever been stated on Twitter. Not books, not games... Twitter..
Ours. There is only one Legion across every universe.
there is only ONE K'J. They exist outside of space/time.
But there are 6 demon Gul'dans, and 3 Socrethar existing at the same time. Not to mention 4 universe's each having a unique Kil'jeaden, as he can't be everywhere at the same time across multiple realities.
this was absolutely awesome. I put on my headphones, closed my eyes and I was there with Guldan.
and this is why i love the warcraft universe. you can be so easily lost in it which such rich lore.
Gul'dan's actual acting is good enough, but the voice itself is just wrong for him. Too Smeagol/Gollum-like.
