Nice video and tune. Pretty much all videos I've seen on YT with songs/jams recorded on portas or similar, have that sound and vibe I like. It could be just a placebo :P , but I hope not since I finally bought a 488mk2 incoming to try for my next songs. Cheers!

Nice wave song! The Portastudio did abolutely not embarrass itself this time either.
The question how f. e. I record can only be answered that way: If I do it, then with a KORG D32 XD with touch screen, motor faders & additionally installed analogue compressor and input boards. Installation was too simple because the space was already indicated by KORG. Those additional boards were essentially something offered by that manufacturer, but were no longer available at my time. In fact, I'd had to buy oarts from an an exploited D32XD shipped from LA to Austria.🙄
it's belonged to the range of high end stand alone recorders of it's time like AKAI DPS 24 & Roland VS2480. To my opinion the D32XD in expanded form is the most convenient one but the AKAI DPS24 is also imoressive. A former friend of mine produced absolutely professional & amazing sounding CDs with it.

Thanks about the song and for sharing your setup- sounds like you've got a great rig with the KORG D32XD! I love how you’ve expanded it with the analog compressor and input boards. It’s crazy how we sometimes have to hunt for parts from other countries to keep these vintage pieces going. 😅 I’d love to hear some tracks from that setup if you have some, I bet they sound incredible! Appreciate the feedback on the Portastudio too!
