the Botler is a very cool idea for a unique cosmetic, but man I hope this is the only one that gets added. I can already seeing this be treated as like a "pet" cosmetic that we get 2 of every year with a Supper Epic Heckin' Pupperino or something adjacent
atleast the pets that floated over your shoulders where mostly small or transparent, this is to much as cool as it is.

Just so you know, it's based off of the robots from the scrapped Valve made official map called RD_Asteroid. These little robots were a gameplay element and were designed by Valve intending to add them into TF2. The whole map and update got scrapped, but I just thought I'd lend context to the creator's idea.

@@JamalTheCreamMachine Well the name is a reference to MF Doom's Vaudeville Villain album and the helmet itself is a reference to General Maximus' helmet from the movie Gladiator which MF DOOM's mask was modeled after or maybe he actually used a replica and modified it so he could try and make himself look like his inspiration: Doctor Doom.
So I guess technically it might be triple-layered but I dunno.

finally, unleashed rage to complete the emotion collection of scaredy-cat and mourning mercs
unleashed rage is a legit awful taunt, easily the worst out of those three. scaredy cat is pretty good and actually comedic. mourning mercs, I can't remember any moments where players actually use it since it came out. it's just that forgettable. maybe sometimes after a teammate killbinds it could be funny. and this rage one is an even worse version of that.

the botler is cool, but it needs to be a halloween restricted cosmetic like the double scout body thing. it's way too distracting, unlike the floating mascots like the hamster
I gotta disagree with you, the cosmetic isn't as disruptive as your example, at worst an enemy would be very slightly distracted for a few times before he gets used to it
@@atig51 It's actually pretty bad for snipers in certain circumstances. If the sightline you're holding has players at a altitude higher than you, the botler can quite literally block the sightline and you can't see what's behind it. Could there be an enemy sniper? An enemy player's head? You don't know until it's too late, or the enemy kills you anyways since their sightline doesn't have this problem.
Now granted given the insane state snipers can be in, especially in the era of "we're kinda tired of sniper right now", it can feel cathartic they have to actually play the game for two seconds, but even then I would argue it's just an introduced issue that could have outright been avoided in the first place. Halloween is when you should have the overly distracting and insane cosmetics that make it hard to see enemies right, even if it's slight.

also the gas passer now counts as soaking enemies for the neon annihilator. so you can have the worst jarate bushwacka ever on a class that is already most effective at point blank range
Oh no the class with a bunch of ways to get guaranteed critz now has a very inconvenient and bad way to get guaranteed critz.
yeah but the gas passer takes years to recharge, so you're basically without a secondary for 90% of the time, flares and the shotgun are still better
it's a slower version of the jarate-bushwacka combo, which is already slow, on a class that has the degreaser-axtinguisher combo, which is already fast
i mean it does give pyro a way to always have neon annihilator crits without relying on the map or teammates... or you could just use the axtinguisher with the gas passer and also get crits on gassed targets... or you could just use any other secondary other than the goddamn gas passer
LMAO, this take is wrong. You forgot it takes like 750 damage to get ONE gas passer compared to the jarate which you do nothing. Pyro is suppose to be good at close range, sniper isn’t. If you’re at melee wrench and go hit by the gas passer, I think that should say enough about your skill level.
It's a good update. A lot of fixes and improvements. No bots is nice. I'm not gonna spend any money until I am certain that Vavle will keep working on the bots. They didn't add the cosmetic I wanted, though.

I hate that they added the medic lifeguard vest and Tuxedo Royale. One looks like shit (makes medic look like a mutant) and the other has an atrocious paint region

i think a revamp of the taunt picker is overdue. there are 12 billion taunts now but you can only choose 8 at a time. many games have switched to a paginated wheel for selecting taunts in addition to not tying taunts to loadouts. maybe the game needs to load taunts like objects (like that shounic video where heavy's emotion was crashing the game lol) which needs the limit of 8 but until that is explained to me i think we could use a taunt system overhaul

I actually liked a good chunk of cosmetics. Some effects were okay, though I agree with what most are saying, it’s just too damn many. Maps I’ve played so far are pretty good (though some don’t have the best flow), gas passer got fixed, and finally 2Fort invasion will get some love. Taunts are okay.
Overall pretty decent update. Though I’m personally still going to refrain from spending any money. I’m not going to go out of my way to pressure others to do the same, but definitely think about it

This case has a some cosmetics which are unexpectedly the best in a while. But some are hard misses. Doctor Freeman cosmetics carried this case

reflections in games (maybe a Source thing?) sometimes impose some image onto the texture to make it look like they're reflecting the surroundings when they're really not. this case is just a lot more noticeable lol
if I remember correctly, there was a bug in Apex Legends that accidentally showed players the image they used for their reflections, which was a random image of a church/cathedral.

A lot of these are amazing, like finally taunts that insult the enemy, and the references are great especially the DOOM and Freeman ones, Desk Engineer is a welcome surprise too
The amount of references in these feel like an strategy to get people to not boycott and keep wasting their money
it's a strategy to get people to upvote your workshop submission, actually
it's hard to make something original and good at the same time, so workshop creators will make reference cosmetics that people will upvote because they want to cosplay as other characters in-game
