Well I think all figures should come with blast effects regardless of size. I just wish this guys was a little more useful than just with his gun firing.
I just bought a couple of sweeps to go with him, I intend on getting more. The paint on the sweeps is very vibrant. This mold in general is fantastic, also a fan of his rifle because most Hasbro transformer weapons suck but this rifle looks pretty sick.
Was waiting for your tactical expertise on this figure, was skeptical due to the reports of breaking on the shoulder. I am convinced to spend my preciouses on him now!!
I've not heard reports of the shoulders breaking, I've seen it on the wrists though, cause those HATE moving, so I'd avoid using those my self. Shoulders seem pretty tough, but it could be maybe the hinging is very dangerous, I'd just be very careful. And even with me calling it a Micro Masterpiece I'm going to say that doesn't necessarily mean you NEED the figure, just if that's what you are looking for this, is that.

that blast effect might work with ectotron (the ghostbusters and transformers crossover figure in case you didn't know or don't have it due to its numerous knee issues and the fact its a retool of combiner wars onslaught) also i just realized if they wanted to make a batman figure they could retool this figure (this is mainly due to his batman like cape)

Then again, Iive in a shithole, where Legacy is probably gonna arrive only sometimes next year. Gotta snatch him now. From what I've seen in this video, he does have problems, but honestly he just looks too tasty and I'm a sucker for any jets or space ships or anything that can take off and fly really, and this one transforms into Dracula, so this is a must buy.
I just got the Sweep version of this the other day. Really the only difference between him and Scourge is a lighter blue color, the claw hand is swapped and I think there might be some small other differences. He can basically act as my Scourge and go with my Kingdom Cyclonus. Very nice.
Here's my theory, usually there are four deluxe's in each wave. So my guess is they had Cyclones in the 86 line, but they put him into kingdom, and took hotrod, have him extra things and called him a voyager.
That doesn't carry the pomp and Circumstance of celebrating the 35th anniversary of the movie. And there are definite differences between this and Earthrise. There's less surface detailing, no Siege blast effect spots for simulating getting hit, and an even more slavish level of accuracy to the toon aesthetic.
Oooooohhhhhh giving your opinion on the gundam franchise, I think I can guess why G Gundam is your favourite series and I understand why Most gundam shows focus on the space politics that no one cares about rather than story, giant robot fighting or character development and G Gundam is just a fun show
It is very good, but just because it's a Micro Masterpiece, that doesn't mean you need to run out and buy it. Does this fit your collection, or do you just really want it, if yes, then it's an easy recommend from me.

Holy shit I just got this figure today!! Due to personal preference, I don’t mind any of the nitpicks or flaws, but yeah, those are some REALLY tight wrist swivels.

They were exactly the same. I've seen one person say that they are going to use their Titans Return Figures as the back up Sweeps, and I thought that sounded like a decent idea. Kind of degraded clones. You can get those for a lot cheaper on Ebay. No one really liked that mold.

Not really. I like the song, and if I stopped people would probably freak out, plus it helps mask some of the audio cuts I do to get rid of me stopping to catch my breath.
We'll no specifically that one likes to pop off all the time, but of course when I went to film it it wouldn't go, so I had to force it a bit. The other one never comes off, but I think there must be some flashing somewhere on the one leg that causes it to pop out.

Well, I got the Sweep retool, since I never saw Scourge in stores (which is surprising because most stores near me never had anything beyond Jazz, Kup, & Blurr). Fast? I dunno...I find that - for me - Titans Return Scourge is a faster transformation than both the SS86 mold & Generations mold. Hell, the Generations one is probably the slowest of the three. Also, it sucks that there's nowhere on the vehicle mode for a Targetmaster to go...I wanted to use this as Scourge with both Titans Return & Generations as Sweeps, but that's down the toilet (Generations can stash a Targetmaster... assuming you clip off the 3mm post from a Targetmaster type Siege Battle Master's gun barrel).
I didn't even think of target master integration at all when I reviewed this. And I mean I think this transformation is fast, it may not be the fastest, but it's still fast.
Sorry if I ruin this design for everyone, but, am I the only one that thinks that G1 Scourge kinda looks like a Mega Man character with a tiny head? It's actually kinda prophetic considering that the blue bomber came into existence a year after.

I think one I have those, I will have at least 1 figure of every character from the 86 Movie which is a grail I've been working towards for a long time
I'd say well above average. Yes the Aesthetic wasn't to everyone's liking, a headmasters are kind of a drag, but the Engineering outside of that was revelatory, and since then its' designs have been showing up even in 3P masterpiece alikes.
I was only planning on getting the 86 autobots but with This and Cyclones I'm not sure but at this point I'm just waiting for Wreck Gar and the rest of the Dinobots to happen.

Now that you finally have your Kingdom Cyclonus figure, how well does this Scourge scale up to that Cyclonus? Are they the same size? Or different enough to be noticeable? Sorry for asking, but for the life of me, I can't find a picture or video of these two together.
In ship mode they are comparable, Cyclonus is longer, Scourge is over all bigger. As robots, Cyclonus is a bit bigger, if you have the knees set right on Cyclonus, the top of Scourges head comes up to Cyclonus's nose, and his pompadour ends at Cyclonus's brow. With the knees' over extended on Cyclonus, he's a full head taller than Scourge.
To be clear, just because it's a Micro Masterpiece, does not mean you should pick this up. That doesn't mean it's a figure everyone should get, it's just a designation that that's what it is, if that's what you are looking for.

Oh don't be surprised, a lot of people have good reasons for saying you're one of their favourite reviewers. You're definitely more critical of figures compared to others. It feels as though you're actually analysing them and evaluating them compared to others who tend to be overwhelmingly positive on every figure. Also you're very entertaining to listen too

Yeah, that works, their ship mode wasn't terribly off and you do kind of need 4 anyways.

And there are definite differences between this and Earthrise. There's less surface detailing, no Siege blast effect spots for simulating getting hit, and an even more slavish level of accuracy to the toon aesthetic.

I heard some qc issues in the wrist kept it from turning easily and several people have just snapped it off all together so be careful

@@PerspectiveEnd all you need to do is loosen the screws, and leave it very lightly unscrewed. That way, it'll be held in but the wrist can move.

If they are the same then army builders need four of these bad boys. Good god the scalpers will go mad with greed! Buy the scourge at retail before you can never buy them again at a reasonable price. :) Doom to the scalper! I curse them and their inability to sell me a Ratchet at a decent rate.
They were exactly the same. I've seen one person say that they are going to use their Titans Return Figures as the back up Sweeps, and I thought that sounded like a decent idea. Kind of degraded clones. You can get those for a lot cheaper on Ebay. No one really liked that mold.

Not really. I like the song, and if I stopped people would probably freak out, plus it helps mask some of the audio cuts I do to get rid of me stopping to catch my breath.
You're really pulling those mushroom peg leg joints dude, so yeah, they will pull out. That's the design.
We'll no specifically that one likes to pop off all the time, but of course when I went to film it it wouldn't go, so I had to force it a bit.
The other one never comes off, but I think there must be some flashing somewhere on the one leg that causes it to pop out.

Well, I got the Sweep retool, since I never saw Scourge in stores (which is surprising because most stores near me never had anything beyond Jazz, Kup, & Blurr). Fast? I dunno...I find that - for me - Titans Return Scourge is a faster transformation than both the SS86 mold & Generations mold. Hell, the Generations one is probably the slowest of the three.
Also, it sucks that there's nowhere on the vehicle mode for a Targetmaster to go...I wanted to use this as Scourge with both Titans Return & Generations as Sweeps, but that's down the toilet (Generations can stash a Targetmaster... assuming you clip off the 3mm post from a Targetmaster type Siege Battle Master's gun barrel).
I didn't even think of target master integration at all when I reviewed this. And I mean I think this transformation is fast, it may not be the fastest, but it's still fast.
All we need is a Kingdom or SS86 Galvatron, we already have a Cyclonus
Well I believe there is one coming out in Kingdom so we should be good on that front.
Sorry if I ruin this design for everyone, but, am I the only one that thinks that G1 Scourge kinda looks like a Mega Man character with a tiny head? It's actually kinda prophetic considering that the blue bomber came into existence a year after.

I'd say hes good, but if you aren't interested in the character, always think twice. It could be the best figure on the planet, and if you don't care about the character you will still probably not care when you get it.

Titans return was a decent line, above average
I'd say well above average. Yes the Aesthetic wasn't to everyone's liking, a headmasters are kind of a drag, but the Engineering outside of that was revelatory, and since then its' designs have been showing up even in 3P masterpiece alikes.

Now that you finally have your Kingdom Cyclonus figure, how well does this Scourge scale up to that Cyclonus? Are they the same size? Or different enough to be noticeable? Sorry for asking, but for the life of me, I can't find a picture or video of these two together.
In ship mode they are comparable, Cyclonus is longer, Scourge is over all bigger.
As robots, Cyclonus is a bit bigger, if you have the knees set right on Cyclonus, the top of Scourges head comes up to Cyclonus's nose, and his pompadour ends at Cyclonus's brow.
With the knees' over extended on Cyclonus, he's a full head taller than Scourge.
