Rolex Datejust 41 is NOT 41mm !

- Did you ever measure your Rolex watch's case size? You may be surprised. I did and the so called Datejust 41 watch's diameter is no way near 41mm. But why Rolex is misleading it's customers?

I’m not sure how you searched UA-cam. But a very popular video by Hafiz J Mehood clearly spoke about this. He’s comparing both 36 and 41 with all measurements.
I'm a bigger fan and owner of Omega watches. However, I really like Rolex designs. I'm glad you are making light of this because many use Rolex size watches as the gold standard for all other brands. Not realizing Rolex watches are smaller even when they state otherwise. Perfect example is the latest sub. It didn't grow from the previous version.
Bigger is not "always" better :)
No one noticed it because most of the Rolex customers are no longer interested in watches. They only care about owning a Rolex. 😅
And they don't know watches.

I was kind of wondering about this! A few years ago a friend of mine got a DJ41 and let me try it on and it seemed smaller than that.

Many machined products historically have been loose with outside dimensions probably because of cost. The most critical dimension are the internal and areas that interface with other parts.
Beretta (firearm) is very consistent while Colt was a joke. 😮

The datejust 2 was indeed a man's watch. The Rolex rep told me that Rolex wanted a unisex size for ladies that are wearing larger models. Datejust 2 had wrist presence, not this one. Disappointed

39.5 is even better than 41. For my wrist and eyes.

Mate, it is not something about this exact watch. All the DJ41s out there are 39.5mm diameter :) maybe the clone manufacturers made it 41 not knowing that weird fact though :)

Shrinkage may occur in transit ..... And hey, don't we all exaggerate a little when it comes to size?

This has nothing to do with dealer itself. All the DJ41 watches out there are 39.5mm and no-one is talking :))
You are measuring it wrong. You have to take the measurement from left top lug to the bottom right lug :D

@@thewatchloupeThe reason it's not mentioned is many people don't want to admit that Rolex lies or embellishes on features all the time. I'm not saying that makes them a bad company but some people want to hold all other brands to a higher ethical standard than they do Rolex. Another myth about Rolex is that 901L steel is harder than 316 which is a lie. It's only more corrosion resistant.
@miabeatz80 who says 904L is harder? Every video I watched about the steel all say that it's just more corrosion-resistant, so new watches don't have the pitting problem that plagued vintage models when exposed to salty water or sweat.
@@g43654 there are a bunch of people on UA-cam that either imply or straight up spread misinformation about this topic. The same goes for grade 5 titanium. If you've never heard that you need to look harder because it's all over the Internet.
Yep everyone knows this already. Just like if you buy a 2 x 4 in the store it’s not even close to 2” by 4”. Many many things are like this
