Питер Габриэл - гений❤ Обожаю сколько себя помню. Удалось попасть на концерт уже будучи взрослой. Вот это длинная карьера. Он до сих пор собирает стадионы. Потрясающе.
Peter Gabriel at the very highest point of his wonderful career. Young and strong with the best selling album released and touring with the SO album. I am proud and lucky to have lived and watched live this tour in San Diego and Los Angeles, CA.
@@fernandochristianhempe9271 fuck off. Nobody cares about your opinion. He said "So" , not secret world. I love it when people just impose their opinion unsolicited
I think it's been hurricane Gabriel that has blown the much needed world of change, opening up a whole world of music ~ cultures & a way of helping to provide a path to a peaceful planet 💞🎶
Tony Levin is one amazing bass player and I think very funny guy, a wig is unbelievable hahahaa, I saw him on the concert with King Crimson he's real genius and Manu Katche as well, and what can I say for Peter Gabriel he absolutely one of the greatest musician and he has always good musicians around him ! Great concert thanks for this upload Frank Musilliami
I saw Peter Gabriel for the first time in 1974 with Genesis for the Selling England Tour. And then saw his first solo tour (CAR) in 1977 and then in 1994 for the Secret World tour. His solo career is really good but nothing to compare with his Genesis years. I was so disappointed when he left Genesis. And I don't understand why he disowned his Genesis years.
I think pete felt they the other bandmates of genesis disrespected him and his first born daughter she was in a incubator she almost died during birth during the making ofl the lamb album...they seemed to be un supportive of him at the time just thinking of the album and not him and his child....I don't blame him...….
he was 25 when he left genesis, still a very young man.. his genesis years lasted only 8 years and ended on a sour note... he became a big star in his own right, which was only to be expected ... look how big Phil got with less talent ... his own career is now 40 years and more! Going back to Genesis now would be like a retired man going back to his first job for a re-union at best... what would be the point and it would be awful... PG would really struggle with the ENORMITY of stuff like Suppers Ready.... the MUSICAL BOX do a great show portraying those amazing early years, so I would advise people to goo see them, .. for me, I don't get why Genesis fans can't let go?
Anybody who was there could tell you how cold it was that night. Especially in the bleachers. But it was the most civilized crowd of rock fans anywhere. Not so much as one fist fight. I never felt unsafe in Tokyo even at 2 in the morning. Unlike Chicago.
I think what made Genesis ( Nursery Cryme thru Lamb) so great was the rest of the band didnt give Peter time to overthink shit. He spent his solo years twiddlefucking to much, he did fantastic stuff but come on, he should have had 3 more albums at least, with his songwriting abilities all he needed was the band to kick his ass to get him going
If his first wife, Jill Moore had stayed faithful then maybe Peter would made more albums. A spouse running off with another person ever helps anyone mentality. Jill Moore's affair with David Lord, his co-producer of his 4th album, strained the marriage and they finally divorced in 1987. Peter suffered terribly from that breakup with depression and had therapy sessions for a couple of years. Talk about being back stabbed by your wife and producer. He was with Rosanna Arquette for a little bit. Single again he met a lovely lady, married and had 2 more children. He has 2 daughters with Moore and 2 sons with his second wife.

I was, one of very few, geigin, who was at this concert. It was at the baseball stadium. And, there were numerous Japanese hotties, in attendance. But it was December in Tokyo and pretty cold. So, unfortunately, no boom boom for this guy. The Lou reed band was great.
Peter Gabriel used to choose his costumes and make up without warning his Genesis ´s colleagues who discovered them on scene , as the audience. Do you think Tony Levin did the same here with his wig ????
I just can't get into San Jacinto for some reason. I think its the mediocre music that sounds hurriedly put together so Peter could write a set of political lyrics... Those songs end up being terrible almost every time. The music has to be great or the lyrics don't matter.
Thx genesisguru for posting this AWESOME concert by PG. I really liked this version of "Red Rain". 😊👍👍👍
A cold, wet and windy night in Tokyo, as I remember it. But the music, the man, the crowd and my friend made it all magical.
見に行ってました。誰よりもオーラがあって輝いてた。びっくりした。すごいカリスマ。

Amazing set of songs

So cold by the time Peter Gabriel came on! And still fantastic.

Evb62,
Remember those Japanese Kodo, drummers. Those guy's were, badass. Some of the most powerful drumming I've ever seen.
Same tour I was in Milan: best concert of my entire life! ( I am 54...)
MERCI Peter & Thank You Frank !
TOTALLY RIGHTEOUS HERE !
SO came out earlier that year. "New stuff" at the concert. Little did they know those were his top 40 hits!

Peter did keep his hair, a lot longer than Phil collins did. His 36 here, no sign of thinning yet. Fabulous entertainer.
There were signs in 1982-3

Peter reminds me of someone and I can't think of who and it's driving me crazy
Oh, it might be Rick astley..... That 80's hair..
I believe his best album was melted face
his best album is its whole career the whole pack
sorry his whole career

Manu with really short hair...Levin (wig!) but Gabriel and Rhodes actually have hair here!
Manukashe is the best!
Great show as always! Who is that stoned out figure in blue jumping up and down on stage during In Your Eyes at around 35:20? 😂😂
Mary Tou I think. From the Super Etoile of Dakkar
Fatou Marietou Koita
I don’t really know, but I will say at that point two of my favorite musicians ever are standing on the stage. Howard Jones and Peter Gabriel.
Too bad he ain't our president
Struggling there
