A tried and tested reliable setup from shiny red .It ticks all the boxes as my polini px 177 with the gear up kit is fantastic !! well done shiny red tuning :)
Hi what gear up kit would you recommend with the polini 177? I have just started to take my engine apart and just wondering is it worth doing a gear up kit? Thanks
60mm Mazzuchelli crankshaft (longer inlet timing), modified si24/24 carburetor, 65/23 primary/clutch upgrade, port the cases to the cylinder and maybe reprofile your exhaust port? But ask the Shiny Red guys, they know their stuff! At the end of the day it just comes down to money and how much your willing to spend?!😉😏
@@shinyred I have a full licence and own several other scooters (all insured with the AA) but they really don't like this ''modified'' one. I gave them details of the modifications and they said that they'd get back to me,, but they never did, if they actually refuse to insure me I'm f**ked as I have to declare this if I try to insure elswhere.
what? that's all for 177cc? my 112.5cc yamaha could reach 100mph easily.. i just spent around $1500 to upgrade my Yamaha from 10.5whp to 28.2whp, idk how much it needs for vespa to reach the same, nothing is cheap on vespa..

I've just bought a Vespa PX 125 with a Polini 177 piston and barrel fitted and I can't get it insured, be very careful what you do to your scooter.
Shouldn't be a problem if you have a full licence, plenty of insurers cover modified scooters

@@poolfarm2 being refused insurance because of a modification you declared won't affect your chances of getting insurance from another company,,
@@shinyred I really hope not
Would you recommend putting a kit on even if i’ve not got a full license?
