My 03 Vespa came with a DDR 177 kit, it kept playing up, so eventually had a Malossi 180 Kit fitted sadly my Fly Wheel Bearings went which apparently caused the rod to push down at the wrong angle and it scored the Piston head, it sounded so bad not even a year I had to change it, due ti the high fuel prices I went for the Polini Sport which came with a smaller Carb. I've complete 200 miles at 30mph but here is where it gets confusing as I'm being told different things, what speeds do I do next and for how many miles? really can't afford to wreck this kit.

Hi just vary the throttle position ,don't keep it fixed at a certain revs for too long ....its run in after 200 miles ...use all the throttle now it's less likely to go wrong at wide throttle opening than pottering around at 1/4 throttle 👍

Hi I have a cast iron polini 177 just bolted on with a revolver exhaust not got it on the dyno yet but what spocket do you recommend for the clutch I think I have a 20th cog in it and can you give me An estimate on jetting please

Hi folks what size main jet do i need for a standard vespa px125 with a revolver exhaust and polini induction kit cheers

How many turns out is the fuel air mixture screw supposed to be on a standard carb and engine cheers

    • @shinyred

its a fine tune adjustment for the idle jet ,there is no correct setting it depends on so many variables .........start at 2 turns out...let the engine tick over in neutral then snap the throttle open ......if it bogs down then revs ..turn the idle screw in half a turn ..if it gets worse turn it out one turn .....keep adjusting half a turn at a time till it revs cleanly and instantly ....thats the correct position...hope that helps

No it's less power, totally different kits

have you ever had the pleasure of dyno-ing DR 180 (tuned) with a malossi piston? if so, is it a good dyno? Thank you!

the carb was standard and she made good power ,dont think you would see much gain from going larger on carb though ....only in fuel bills lol
