Oh mate..Seeing the Cavern catalogue bought it all back big time..Ive still got a Sherrys, Cavern and Melandi plastic carrier bags. Carnaby Street when the paving was all coloured...Great memories. At times it felt like the whole world was your enemy as a Mod in the 80s..We were right and they were wrong...Time has proved it.. Mo..Enfield North London..
David Shaw Cool. I still have that article, liberated from my art teacher's Observer magazine! The Vespa Rally 200 was to me the last beautiful large frame Vespa. The PXs and GTSs failing to reproduce those lines. Shame. Great days.
Hiya chaz, I really love watching your superb videos! With this one, it's the 1st time I've noticed a police escort being provided on a rally, normally the old Bill is at the back,in persuit of a guy not wearing his helmet cus he didn't want to mess his hair up, and yea what's a 60quid fine for the price of vanity! After All isn't it all about looking good? Having fun, making friends with like minded people, and listening to the greatest music of All time! Also in this video, I've still got a copy of that mods may Day' 79. Album. I tried to get another copy so I could put the album cover on my bedroom wall that soon became plastered with mod posters, but my local record shop (sundown records) always sold out of it, so I was lucky to get my copy! Anyway great vid mate, WE ARE THE MODS!!!!👍👍👍🛵🛵🛵
Yep Steve we lived every moment, I can relate to every word as Weller penned in ''Away From The Number'' .....''you free your mind you free your soul...'' no regrets about being us, we are THE Mods!!!!!

I met Fay as the band were supporting The Untouchables at Glasgow Uni that whole gig blew us all away ,it was mental one Saturday I was watching The Untouchables on Multi Coloured Swap Shop then voila in Glasgow their cover of "I'm Not Your Steppin' Stone " brought the house down Clyde's leap in the air with the suit , shades and hat on put Townsend to shame a moment to remember, had a chat with miss Hallam, during the interval, nice girl, fantastic memories. 👌😎😁
There was a film made in 1984 called "Repo Man" with Emillo Estevez The Untouchables had a small cameo part in looking cool as driving their scootérs to their granny's house as Emillo tried to reposses their granny's car they were sitting on the couch beside him, he didn't think he was going to make it out the house alive 🛵🛵🛵🤣🤣🤣 I downloaded that scene quite a few years ago, so I don't know if it is still on You Tube well worth a watch 👍if it still on you tube🤞

Fay Hallam was so cute, and she had a very sensitive organ, so she told me! And every other lovestruck young Mod lad in the audience...
