Thanks for this review Mark, been thinking of getting one for a while and you've given me the confidence to purchase - I also think your pronunciation "damper" sounds much better than "dampener"
I have a new Samsung 21+ so I went to quad lock and bought the particular case for that model from them that has the connection lock moulded into it. It doesn’t make my phone bulky at all. I also bought the dampener as advised by other bikers and the whole mechanism it’s rock solid on my bike with virtually no vibration at all. I never think for a moment that it will come off as I ride along. It’s the best bit of kit I ever bought to secure my phone. In fact as a delivery driver I bought the suction pad for my van windscreen too.The phone fits right on and doesn’t vibrate one bit. Pay the money, it’s way, way cheaper than replacing a broken phone any day.
I had an iPhone camera demise due to vibration - fixed for free at the Adam and Eve store. Anti vibe and wireless charger fitted - it just works and it’s worth the price point. No need to fiddle with gloves to plug in the power. Because you’re worth it!
Good to see you back online Mark. Thanks for the guided tour in your backyard, last month. Can I suggest you film those roads and post on the channel. Most enjoyable. Ride safe.
It’s on our list… which were best ones for you? If anyone is down in Cornwall drop us a line and we will try our best to catch up and possibly show you roads you would not normally ride… Rude safe.
@@markholroyd5365Turning out of the hotel carpark, up the hill then everything to where we had a bite to eat. Thoroughly enjoyed that section. Tickled at your dyslexic fingered Rude safe. 😄 Regards
I got the vibration dampener and I find it to be way too wobbly in use with no apparent way to stiffen it up. Might be a natural frequency thing but I stopped using because it looked like it could shake the phone apart.
I had the same problem, my old Nav6 was doing crazy things when it rained so Garmin replaced it with an up to date newer version. The only problem is this new version takes up to 45 -60 secs to catch up with me changing direction and going off route. So no I have my phone on standby to take over when required. I have to get the quad lock system when I get to the NEC this year..
Probably the worst piece of kit brought out by QuadLock. Try taking a video while riding .I have 6 Quadlocks and love them all Car bike etc but when I used the dampener I swear the phone looked like it was going to bounce off . I ride a big twin so not sure what sewing machine bikes are suitable but def not mine.

That’s because you are too fast Mike… Ride safe
Good review Mark
Works great, well made if expensive kit…
Its a great bit of kit
It saves your phone from vibration damage but is the phone display legible? Difficult to judge with the phone display off!
Yes the screen is fully functional. Ride safe
Strangely I have ignored Charlie B’s advert as I thought him being paid to promote it counts for nothing. After seeing this I will check one out.
At least it's cheap
Good video, I have recently got a Quad lock and vibration dampner it's really good, and easy to put on and take phone off. GREAT BIT OF KIT 👍👍

You’ve totally missed the point. You don’t use it for taking videos while riding.
