Contacted Eva and the part arrived next day. Simple job to fit and what a diffence it makes to your ride. Well done Mark for sticking with it and solving the issue.
Want to add my thanks for this video. Especially for putting up the bmw part number. Solved my dilemma on a bracket and made it easy at the dealership. Pricey, but since I use it almost every time I ride I figure it pays for itself right quick. Keep up the great videos. Cheers from Canada!
Yes, thank you so much guys for informing and even provide the BMW part number. Obviously I had exact the same issue with the Wunderlich-Bracket, so I went straight away and ordered the BMW-Bracket. It does come at a cost though (around 170 EUR) but it's really worth it. I installed it yesterday and took a ride to test it and hell yeah, there's no vibration at all. I'm using a Garmin Zümo XT and this bracket is definitely the one and only solution to proper install and use this thing on a BMW F850 GS! Cheers!
Thanks for the video. And the BMW 850 emergency bracket has a better thing then de 1250gs one: it gets more separated from de LCD screen. In the 1250GS it’s annoying to have the gps almost overlaid to the LCD.
@@steveroberts7936 Hi Steve unfortunately although it is states in the BMW catalogue it fits the 750 bracket it doesn’t. My dealer made a slight adjustment by cutting two small slots into the bracket and now it fits. They did ask me and I considered it was about £45 for a new bracket if it went wrong so took the chance and it all works fine a year on.
@@SouthWest-jj8yu Hiya thanks for that I have bought a second hand 750 ,mine has a adjustable screen fitted does the bracket fit where you take the two push in plugs that hold the first plastic shroud on and r there bolt holes there ? I have been told £100 for that bracket Thanks 👍
@@steveroberts7936 not sure on that Steve but don’t think they fit into the plastic plug holes as the cover is still in place. My one was fitted at BMW but think it’s fairly straightforward I recall that under the cover there are other bolts and think it attaches to them. I paid about £115 fitted so the price is about right.
@@SouthWest-jj8yu Hiya bought the bracket and fitted it myself, removed the screen ,removed two plastic plugs and removed the shroud, you were right four bolts underneath the shroud, removed the top two bolts bracket lined up,bracket fitted and sat nav ready is on 👍thanks for the info 👍
I had exactly the same thing with a 3rd party accessory bar for my (ex) Honda X-ADV, I too wanted to mount a GPS/phone above the instrument panel, the bracket was a well made and a good looking piece of metal work, as with yours, it had a stiffener plate and rubber bungs, but was utterly useless because of the vibrations, in the end, I had to spend another £50 and revert to the usual handlebar mount. ☹☹☹. Cheers, Gordon
This is perhaps a daft question, however.....how did you attach the GPS holder to the new bracket? Does it come with fixtures, or did you have to sort that side of things yourself? Kind regards, Craig
@@markholroyd5365 Many thanks for your help. Very much appreciated👍👍. I've just swapped my R1200RT for a F850gsa this week. Very happy with my purchase😊. Best wishes, Craig
Evening chaps. Not worried about the 850 GSA bracket as I have it’s big brother 1200 which I love. What I am interested in is what sound recording kit is Mark using as it came across really well. I’m trying to find something I can use for observing to help the old memory. Any thoughts? Cheers👍👍 Keep up the good work
I see you have Nav VI on the big boy GS. I have been wondering if a nav system is worthwhile now the Connected App is around? Aaaannd, discuss :) - oh and Happy Easter.
Thanks for posting gave me some re assurance as I am just about to do this on my 2019 750 gs at the same time as replacing the chocolate fireguard standard screen. Do you know if the bracket will work with the standard fixed longer screen bracket?
I would have liked to have seen the installation of this emergency services bracket rather a chat about it and the shortcomings of the wunderlich version.
Unfortunately, I got my "no vibration" bracket from Horning. It's not terrible but it does vibrate. Should have gotten the BMW one but I wanted to save money.

Brave going down that dirt path to the car park by blue hills tin there. Lovely views. Just crap path down to it! Steep climb back out!
