The Warning started making music very young Paulina and Alejandra at 3 and Dany 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band. They had been uploading their musical journey to UA-cam for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2013 and rehearsed for a small performance for their school Xmas show. Well, They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song, in particular, shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 22 Million views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show!. Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10 000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston. After completing Berklee The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! They performed a number of small and large shows afterwards and began writing and composing new material for their first full-length album XXI Century Blood in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded Queen of the Murder Scene and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues. In June of 2019, they released a single, Narcisista. A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well, this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. For their ages especially they’ve really paid dues in performing pretty much any place they can. I think they are more comfortable on stage now than some big-name acts.
You can find videos of their appearances at the Whiskey in Los Angeles & many other venues. This was filmed in their basement at home during quarantine. They were supposed to be touring North America and then England but, well 2020. They had just finished a relatively short tour in South America & had gotten in a few new shows in the States before quarantine. Since this video they have signed a 5 album deal with Lava Records and have recorded their 3rd full album. They already have a 6 song EP and 2 full albums plus a single out. The 3rd album should be out this year but an official release date hasn't been announced yet. Not bad considering the oldest of the sisters will turn 21 at the end of this month while the youngest just turned 16 December.

Most fans assume you will be an insta-fan of whatever their favorite group is. It's just natural. So for someone to suggest that seemed a little strange. I do know one guy who took a little convincing before he came around. Maybe it was him. You may not care for this group at all. @Mark Bell, it was me who said that. This is based on the fact that there have been a few TW fans who didn’t take to them instantly. I didn’t really myself. I thought they were pleasant and I did buy the first album and heard it a few times and then put it aside until just before the second album and that’s when I really considered myself a fan. Then I ended up appreciating the first album more. But going back through my music history there’s lots of stuff I either actively disliked initially and loved eventually. Re The Beatles I didn’t get into them until relatively late, after having gone through lots of pop and rock. It’s not that I disliked them, more that they weren’t where I was mentally, even though I had a close friend who was heavily into them. That’s the way music goes. 😊

I even own other bands albums and sometimes I do the same things or I do that before I go to that artists concerts. Hey Queen there are a few TW fans who aren’t really into rock but like TW. I think it’s because they are catchy and melodic, so have a wider appeal than you would ordinarily expect. The Villarreal sisters are normal girls in that they like K-pop and J-pop big fans of BTS group but they listen to all genres from Classical to pop but prefer to play rock if you continue listening to them you will discover that there music changes as they use all there influences in there song writing ,all of them write but the drummer is the most prolific they start most of there songs on piano but it's a very collaborative effort as they all input on any part of the song vocals,backup vocals, drums,guitar,bass and keyboard .

I don’t really understand why someone would recommend a basement performance for your first (and maybe only) reaction to them. It’s a great performance, and was a gift to their fans during the pandemic, but they have some amazing live performances and if you think their energy is great here, you should see them with an entire stage to command, with a crowd and lighting and an amazing visual backdrop… They are nothing short of spectacular, and that’s ignoring the fact that they range in age from 15 to 20 here, and are SISTERS. And they’ve been doing this for 6+ years with two albums out and a third one under their new big co-labels (Lava/Republic, as fancy as they come) due out imminently. The Warning was totally fan-funded through Patreon, UA-cam and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter. They have turned down offers from record labels and talent shows like American Idol because they did not want to lose control of their music, image and wanted to focus on learning. In fact, in one interview with a record label, they were asked if they would rather play to 12 people or 12000. Paulina piped up and said The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant they would keep their integrity and could play the music they want to play, how they want to play... That is the most Rock n Roll quote ever!

You can find videos of their appearances at the Whiskey in Los Angeles & many other venues. This was filmed in their basement at home during quarantine. They were supposed to be touring North America and then England but, well 2020. They had just finished a relatively short tour in South America & had gotten in a few new shows in the States before quarantine. Since this video they have signed a 5 album deal with Lava Records and have recorded their 3rd full album. They already have a 6 song EP and 2 full albums plus a single out. The 3rd album should be out this year but an official release date hasn't been announced yet. Not bad considering the oldest of the sisters will turn 21 at the end of this month while the youngest just turned 16 December.

Most fans assume you will be an insta-fan of whatever their favorite group is. It's just natural. So for someone to suggest that seemed a little strange. I do know one guy who took a little convincing before he came around. Maybe it was him. You may not care for this group at all. I hope you do, but the most popular groups there are cannot capture everyone. I was the only guy I knew (I grew up in the sixties and seventies) who really didn't care for the Beatles. @Mark Bell, it was me who said that. This is based on the fact that there have been a few TW fans who didn’t take to them instantly. I didn’t really myself. I thought they were pleasant and I did buy the first album and heard it a few times and then put it aside until just before the second album and that’s when I really considered myself a fan. Then I ended up appreciating the first album more.
But going back through my music history there’s lots of stuff I either actively disliked initially and loved eventually. Re The Beatles I didn’t get into them until relatively late, after having gone through lots of pop and rock. It’s not that I disliked them, more that they weren’t where I was mentally, even though I had a close friend who was heavily into them. That’s the way music goes. 😊

The Villarreal sisters are normal girls in that they like K-pop and J-pop big fans of BTS group but they listen to all genres from Classical to pop but prefer to play rock if you continue listening to them you will discover that there music changes as they use all there influences in there song writing ,all of them write but the drummer is the most prolific they start most of there songs on piano but it's a very collaborative effort as they all input on any part of the song vocals,backup vocals, drums,guitar,bass and keyboard .

The Warning: Three teenage girls from Mexico, sisters. Their 2nd album, Queen of the Murder Scene, is a concept album/rock novel, which is best listened to in album order because it tells a linear story, and live because of the energy of their performance with an audience. The following links are from their 2019 concert at Foro Didi, which I consider their finest performance. Through technical difficulties, they push on giving professionals a lesson to aspire to. One particular technical issue caused a version of the second track I find more immersive than it ever was before. A failure with an acoustic guitar grants the song a whole other dimension I feel contains depth already there but certainly stronger.

The Warning are three sisters that started making music very young Alejandra (Ale = Aleh, not the beer. Bass, backing vocals and keyboard, the youngest) and Paulina (Pau = Pow. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band.
They had been uploading their musical journey to UA-cam for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2012 and rehearsed for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 22 000 000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show!.The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10 000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston.

So after a very successful Kickstarter campaign to raise fund for a North American tour and to record a new album achieving their goal within 24 hours and surpassing that goal by 600%. Unfortunately the Covid19 Pandemic forced the band to cancel their tour plans and postpone making their album. Their last live show before the global lock down was March 14 2020 at the Vive Latino 2020 Festival in Mexico City.This did not stop The Warning from performing though, they played a full concert set from their basement studio/rehearsal space for free for their fans on UA-cam and Facebook achieving well over 50000 simultaneous viewers on March 25 2020. They have since performed from The Warning a couple more times including for the city of Brownsville Tx for the Fourth of July virtual celebration and later in the summer for a charity event with rock legends like Slash and Ringo Star.
On August 9th 2020 The Warning announced to their Patreon community that after seven long months of negotiations they had signed a five record deal with Lava Records a label under the Republic Records and Universal Music family. During the announcement they reiterated their dedication to their own creative integrity and dedicated fans on Patreon and were able to retain both in their record contract with Lava. In Sept of 2020 The Warning traveled to New Jersey USA to begin rehearsal and eventually recording of their third album.

I don’t really understand why someone would recommend a basement performance for your first (and maybe only) reaction to them. It’s a great performance, and was a gift to their fans during the pandemic, but they have some amazing live performances and if you think their energy is great here, you should see them with an entire stage to command, with a crowd and lighting and an amazing visual backdrop… They are nothing short of spectacular, and that’s ignoring the fact that they range in age from 15 to 20 here, and are SISTERS. And they’ve been doing this for 6+ years with two albums out and a
third one under their new big co-labels (Lava/Republic, as fancy as they come) due out imminently.
