Going end of July! We are staying right on the Marina, we did opt for all inclusive however since we are staying a week and thought it would be better being on a budget.

3:53 I remember when I used to do the ATV tours you had to pay extra to get on the beach to the old lighthouse before they built the resorts used to get them in town and drive through the town like crazy with the cars to get to the beach! I remember you used to meet up at the Cabo Wabo lighthouse plaza to get your vehicle to drive

Enterprise wanted to surprise $6000 deposit. Here’s a better idea take one of their shuttles to the car rental location and grab an Uber. Uber drivers are also probably your main source of good information on party favors and places to go. Cabo is basically like San Diego with more Spanish and LA prices. it’s absolutely the opposite everything I’ve loved about Mexico. Extremely expensive even the stuff at Walmart cost more than it does to the same items in the US. It is safe, but that’s only because there’s one cartel that runs everything.
Used to go there before the plaza was built at the marina and before I think Home Depot and Costco moved in and they had one stop light in town hate going there now to commercial always ate in restaurants in the hills with the locals never ate around town or the marina ughhh love the lazy lobster

If you get cold easily don’t go Cabo except 7,8,9
Just got back. The big resorts have become money machines. We couldn't believe the prices of some of the food and services. We did most of the higher end things so you could travel much cheaper but we spent over $1200/day total including room. Private transfer:$160. Resort meals: $250 with drinks. 3 hrs on a boat with photos and tip $1900. For a place where the water can kill you it's pretty loco.
Just curious what hotel you stayed at? On our last trip we stayed at the Playa Grande, bought some mezcal for the room and ate locally. We did splurge a bit when we dined at Flora Farms but overall it wasn't bad.👌
@@Nicole.SissonYes my man’s is straight ballin up top. I’m like how did it go to those rates. Even comparing the Airbnb route you can get some epic spots with service for less than $1000 for a week…. Maybe I’m not high class enough. 😅

We just got back and it's expensive
We just got back 1.5 weeks ago and the prices are ridiculous. Everything is the same price as here at home. 15usd for margaritas and the food was crazy priced. Very expensive these days. Be cautious if you are going to Cabo. It's getting expensive

Stick to bottled water when in Cabo. The ice from restaurants should be safe to consume. 🙂👍
Cancun over Cabo 10/10 times. Never will understand going to a beach resort where you can’t get in the water 😂

U can certainly swim in Cabo, just away from the open Pacific
@@nubianking4203 yeah but the list of resorts with swimmable beaches is very short. And they aren’t nearly as beautiful as Cancun waters. I know of a couple that went swimming there at one of the resorts she mentioned. Only the wife came back from the current. The husband died.
Is early to mid Oct a good time to visit? I just don't want to encounter any rain or storm seasons.
Hurricane season in Cabo typically lasts from June to November. There's always a possibility of rain or storms during those months. If you want to increase your chances of avoiding it, travel outside of those times. 😊👍

Once you walk outside of the airport there is a big covered area where all of the shuttle service drivers will be. Your reservation should tell you what umbrella to go under. 😊

Just started going to MX in February 2023 and love it and going back. I see low fares to Cabo in February 2024 resort and hotel are cheap but it's so far away. Only a few low flights remain. What to do?

Hey! Thanks for the tips. I have solo travel going to Cabo next month. You recommended Transcabo for their shuttle service…. Just making sure you think they are safe for a gal traveling alone.

Planning on going to Cabo in Aug. How many days would you recommend? I was thinking 1-2 weeks? I've been to other places in Mexico but this would be my first in Cabo.
We usually stay 5-6 nights but there's definitely plenty to do if you wanted to extend your stay. Just curious where else do you like to travel to in Mexico? 😊

Most flights from major cities fly into San Jose.

UBER can drop off at the airport but not pickup.

Do you recommend a certain credit card for travel? I’m about to retire and want a card for the best travel perks
American Express and Chase both offer great travel cards. You'd have to look at their individual benefits to see what suits your needs. We use the American Express platinum & Delta cards.
I have both and prefer American Express. They charge you on the card and then reimburse you with your points, so the property or airline thinks you paid full price.
Chase books through Expedia, which is a good company, but it affects the attitude of people when you check in or ask about amenities. I’ve been denied amenities based on an Expedia reservation just because I wanted to get a small discount with my points even if it was the same price as the hotel site.
I also like that AmEx often has promotions that allow you to make payments on purchases free of charge.
Amex platinum is expensive, but you can get a lot of bonuses that make up for the price, especially if you like Hilton and Marriott hotels, where you automatically get Gold status. Also if you don’t have direct flights, you can enjoy airport lounges for free.

Most restaurants use ice that is made with purified water.
@@Nicole.Sisson How do you know if the ice is filtered - ask? For some reason, I have alot of anxiety about the food and drinks. I DON'T want to ruin a vacation by being "down" for a day or two. Going to Cabo in a few days!
