I like her. She sits ladylike and has dignity. James Arness probably did have women throwing themselves at him and she was different, he had to pursue her, as it should be.
I have watched Gunsmoke since 1955 when it started. I love Jim Arness and the entire cast. Then I just started watching it again in Oct.2020. Can't stop watching love them all. Joyce, you can still see Gunsmoke everyday on channel TV Land or The Westerns channel ISRP. Hope you can find them.I ' am watching Gunsmoke now.Have a good day.
Gunsmoke has been a favorite program of mine, just about as long as I can remember! I didn't see it when it was on real time, as school, then work, etc. were prevalent but now, I watch it every day as well as How the West Was Won. You can always find Gunsmoke running on a channel somewhere, right now I'm watching the early years (it ran from 1955-75) and it's interesting to see how they all change over the years. Matt, Kitty and Doc seem like family to me now, and I also enjoy Chester then Festus. Great show. I really enjoyed each personality in the show, still do! I don't know how many of the 635 episodes I've seen now, but I enjoy them all and especially when a new episode comes on that I haven't seen. I don't know if many people know or realize that John Wayne referred James Arness for his role in Gunsmoke. Wayne had been considered for the role but was committed to another role at the time. He was about 16 years older than Arness at the time. Very good choice for the studio. Matt (Arness), and Doc (Milburn Stone) were in all of the episodes and Kitty (Amanda Blake) in most of them, a few less than Matt and Doc. Enjoyed the Chester and Festus roles also. Great show!
Thanks, Dan. Janet was a delight and I’m planning for more with her! Check out this Sunday’s AWOW about Jim surfing in Hawaii with Don Stroud! Happy Easter 🐣
Loved Gunsmoke. Still watch the reruns on TV Land channel. what made it successful was the Ensemble Acting by so many actors and actresses. Ken Curtis as Festus Hagen, the guy who played Doc, and who can forget Miss Kitty? Dennis Weaver as Chester. Burt Reynolds as Quint. And all the Guest Stars who came back again and again--they needed Eating money, you know. What was great was the Script writing and Jim Arness always knew when to enter and leave each episode. You can tell he was very humble. Can't believe he played "The Thing" in that Scifi Classic Movie but he needed Eating money too before Gunsmoke. FYI, Pluto TV is a free TV streaming channel downloadable on Tablets and TVs and PCs. It has a 24/7 channels dedicated to Gunsmoke, Wanted Dead or Alive, Happy Days, Matlock, Perry Mason, The Addams Family, Hawaii Five O and other TV programs.

Lol ,when I was a little kid I called it the Bujinian .My Grandfather (Big Roy ) never let me forget that . I watched alot of westerns and Daniel Boone sitting in his lap .
I loved this interview of James Arness' s wife a friend. It just is so nice to know my favourite show of all time -I watched Gunsmoke when I was a child and 50 years later I love watching Gunsmoke as much as I did when I was a child. I never miss a moment of watching Gunsmoke each day. 😊💖
My mom loved gunsmoke. I watched them with her, and I loved that they were morality tales. So good!
Nice memories, Alice. Thanks.
My father always taught me to leave a place better than how you found it! The story of JA picking up someone else's garbage says a lot about the man! One of the greats!
John Wayne and James Arness the two greatest Tv and movie western stars. Gunsmoke is the best western ever made. Janet seems like a sweet lady
I'll make it a trifecta and add pal Richard Boone. You can't go wrong with Paladin...
HE WAS A MAN TO RESPECT. NO MORE LIKE HIM TODAY. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU GAVE US MR ARNESS...
I've been buying the Gunsmoke DVD's... I have seasons 4 to 7 so far. I really enjoy this show and Jim is such an incredible presence on the screen. What a great cast as a whole. I love the show and will continue to buy the DVD's. Thanks for sharing this interview...
I like her. She sits ladylike and has dignity. James Arness probably did have women throwing themselves at him and she was different, he had to pursue her, as it should be.
He was a very sexy man. I guess we could say he was Hot. (Lol.
William Maerdian
Absolutely!!!
Gunsmoke was and is the best family show on TV.
I wish Mr. Arness was still here.
We all miss you!

What a sweet lady! Jim, you did good bro! Oh, and hey Bruce! lol
Great show!
Thanks for yet another great program.
Another great interview, thanks!
Wish all interview was like this and what a sweetheart Janet Arness is😍
Happy Easter!
Thanks, Dan. Janet was a delight and I’m planning for more with her! Check out this Sunday’s AWOW about Jim surfing in Hawaii with Don Stroud! Happy Easter 🐣
James got himself a real gem of a lady.
