My family and I love Gun Smoke. James Arness is a legend and a western icon! Thank you so much for sharing this and all that you do to promote The Old West!
Gunsmoke, kitty, doc, and. Fetus, and that great Matt Dillon, my favorite show of all times. I could watch Gunsmoke every day, as a matter of , bounce around the channels to find Gunsmoke. I wish I could have met him. Love to all and especially to the ones who knew him
Loved, loved, loved this interview! James Arness my favorite western star. Admired his service during WWII and his obvious love for our country especially since my husband and I lived during Vietnam War with the sickening anti-war protest including mistreatment of our awesome soldiers who chose to serve our country as honorably as they could in the circumstances. Many times large men seem to enjoy throwing their weight around and intimidate others but he came across as a gentleman. (Need to make it clear I come from a family [and husband]of tall men-uncle 6’5” and all were gentlemen.) I’ll be rewatching this interview several times. Also a fan of Bruce Boxleitner.
Gunsmoke was the best Western of all times. I finally got to see it 1955 probably about 1970 and my daddy. He always loved it and it would’ve been the same without James Arness rest in peace young man.
What a wonderful interview, I learned more about James Arness, the man, than I have in all of the years I have been a fan and watched Gunsmoke, his movies, etc. It's easy to see why he fell in love and married this beautiful woman, I'd like to thank her for sharing some of her memories of him.
Because of my love for westerns growing up and my interest in RV traveling more recently, I want to travel out to ghost towns and the history in Boot Hills in a FORD Transit 250 cargo van outfitted for camping. This interview was really interesting and fun to watch and brought back many memories for me. Thanks for another great show featuring an amazing actor and man.
The relationship Matt had with Chester was priceless. One episode had Chester complaining about the summer heat. He said someone should invent something to block out the sun. Matt replied that someone did. Chester said, what? Who did that? Matt replied, Stetson. Lol. So real. Their conversations about coffee, cleaning up the office, Miss Kitty, Doc. The writing and delivery were always great. I never tire of watching life in Dodge City.
A really memorable story of Jim arness and of Gunsmoke and his life and times throughout his many great years of entertainment. A very popular and yet down to earth guy came across in the Gunsmoke episodes.
Gunsmoke is my favorite TV show. I’ve been a fan since I was a small boy. The show started when I was 4 years old. I watched every week with my dad. We shared his big comfy chair. I don’t think anyone else could have done the show as good as James Arness the entire cast were perfect.
Rob, what a wonderful video I started watching gun smoking from day one 1956 till the last show. Love that show, and till this day I’m still watching the reruns. Never miss it.
I love to hear James Arnesss talk old school actors. You hear every word no mumbling. The same with his brother Peter every word of every sentence . They were two of my Dad's favorite actors. I love the story about John Wayne all class acts. His wife Janet a real Lady.great stories. That's why l watch old shows and films better actors and actresses.some today are good but some are awful. Make too much money and it goes to their heads also the same with some singers. Thank you for still showing some of these we should never forget them some of them did alot of good with their money. Kept their kindness and who they are. God bless them all. SLAINTE MAITH good health.
What a terrific video. It was amazing to hear from Janet. Wow, Jim was even more awesome that I imagined. I still watch Gunsmoke daily. I have seen all episodes many multiple times. I own 1st 5 seasons on DVD. The memories I have watching it on Monday night with Dad as we munched on cut up apples . Good times.
Great video! You feel like you know each person by the end. Sorry for Jim, that he had tough times personally, with loss of daughter and ex-wife..affects the family. Janet is lovely, and Im glad he had her support in the end of life. Hearing about Mr Arness is like having him standing right over there..grinning in the corner. Thank You for supporting the legacy of a great actor, gentleman..and the land and stories he loved. In hard times like 2023, seems like he led, just the life he wanted. I have watched every day, for 4 yrs now, as I'm 68, somehow missed the original showing! ( Brothers were into war movies.) So glad I found that new Channel, "Inspire," as I had never seen the early episodes. A fine man , that James Arness..oh, and Matt Dillon as well! Best to the old West!
Thanks, carol. I'll be taping a new interview for A WORD ON WESTERNS with Janet this coming Tuesday at the Autry Museum in Los Angeles. I'll pass on your comments to her. Thanks.
@AWordonWesterns Please do! Both my husband and I served 8 years Naval Intell.. I'm a Paralegal, whilst he was a NYC Police Lt 34 years. No greater respect could be had for James, and now, Janet and yourself! Let Janet know..James had earned a place of privilege. Years ago, folks believed in the American values, now slipping away..James was the epitome of those ideals. I shall look forward to any news that comes to us! Best to you both..and RESPECT AND ADMIRATION as ever, for James. Cheers!
Outstanding review of Jim's life and love(s) with great input from Bruce Boxleitner and Janet Arness Surtees. Never a better episode than this one! Thank you!
I met the man once. I was attending a summer camp and was a Counselor In Training on gate duty one afternoon when a small Ford Pinto approached the gate. As was our duty the 2 gatekeepers were to identify each person who came in and went out of the gate. As I bent down to look into the vehicle, I came face to face with Big Jim. He was (poor man) stuffed into the passenger seat and I believe the young lady driving was an assistant. He was very warm and nice and I treated him with respect calling him Mr. Arness. I believe he had come out to see his father Rolf whom I and others at the camp met several times. This was around the time that his dad gave the ranch that he had to the camp. The only caveat was that Rolf was allowed to remain on the property and live out his life there. I never did see the Marshall ever again and I wish I had as I really wanted to thank him for the joy he gave me every time I had watched an episode of Gunsmoke. He was a truly kind, generous and wonderful man and we shall not see the likes of him ever again. RIP Mr. Dillon
I keep glancing at my James Arness, _Best of the West,_ Gunsmoke action figure, as I watch & listen. A unique connection to James Arness runs in my family too. Dad and Jim share birthdays, 4 years apart. Dad was in the Air Force, as a lawman, and was given the nickname _"Matt"_ by his Commander, for that connection between the Series, and our last name. 😃 Thanks for reviving these great memories, Rob, and RJ. I hope all is well on your end of the pasture.
James Arness represents a true clean lifestyle of decency to all his many followers. My Dad (04/21/17-02/14/94) was a huge fan of Gun Smoke, & I’m a huge fan of Gun Smoke! I’m pushing 80 years now & I still love watching the movies with James Arness, as well as John Wayne’s many movies! Their style of movies are awesome good family entertainment! I’ve enjoyed Gun Smoke and Wagon Train more than any others on TV. They’re fit for family to watch. There’s some important lessons in life to be learned from that sort of clean entertainment. I also loved watching Clint Eastwood on Raw Hide in my younger years, and I’m so happy to see it’s also on TV on “INSP”…! ♥️ I thank God for The Inspiration Network on TV. Kids and the entire family can enjoy watching their shows. I so appreciate James Arness, John Wayne & Clint Eastwood. ♥️ We need many more like them! ♥️
Another episode, which is a mix of previously broadcast material along with some new footage that you and Robby seamless combined into a whole new episode, that easily stands on it's own. James Arness, Peter Graves, and Bruce Boxleitner careers and roles formed memorable parts of my life. Janet's remembrances of the Jim Arness away from the set just humanize the man. So yet again another great episode.
Wonderful how you create a new viewing experience incorporating updated footage, new interviews. Always more to learn. Thank you so much for sharing, Rob.
Wow! Great interview! Gunsmoke was off the air by the time I was born in 1976, so it was not a show popular with my generation, however I grew up watching lots of John Wayne movies in the 80's on TBS and I developed a strong interest in Davy Crockett and history. I eventually developed a passion for Westerns and collected and watched as many as I could during the DVD era. Only the last few yrs have I begun truly watching TV westerns and Gunsmoke is by far the best. It sounds like James Arness was an upstanding guy and very down to earth. Just the type of humble person that should play Matt Dillon and a war hero as well, he was from a great generation.
Growing up watching James in the iconic roll was everything to a young man without a father in the home was so important you see watch "matt" defend protect the town and people gave such great examples of what it is to be a good man. Thank you James Arness. 😢
Awe, thank you Janet so much for sharing all of this with us!!! So precious!! I dearly loved gunsmoke and all the actors in it!!! I am definitely a huge James Arness fan, thank you so much, you are a beautiful lady!!!! 🤗❤️❤️
My husband and I both grew up watching Gunsmoke and still watching it on Amazon...lol. What great life lessons! We both remember when we first got color TV and saw Matt Dillon had a "pink" shirt😳. We're both huge fans of the entire cast especially Jim Arness and Ken Curtis...and Doc always looked just like my Grandpa!!!
I loved Gunsmoke..Watched it growing up with my mom and dad and siblings..We couldn't wait till the once a week series..We all Love this show very much..He was such a sweet man,I really enjoyed watching this as a kid ..I still watch this show on TV and DVD's I have...Great Beautiful Memories,,With my Daddy we watch this in his final days to have something to do...I still remember all these Daddy now has been gone 8 yrs momma 10 yrs...Thanks For All The Memories,,There will never be another James..Love him and all the folks very much..
We watched Gunsmoke as a family it was about the only TV show we were allowed to watch at night I still watch it I have a channel that plays Gunsmoke all day and night James Arness was great no one could have done it any better
THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU... I loved your first interview with Janet Arness a few years ago (reprised for this video) and was hoping for a second. You didn't disappoint -- and neither did she!... Mrs. Arness is a beautiful, articulate, loving spokesperson for her husband's amazing legacy and I could've listened to her reminisce all day long! Bruce Boxleitner was a delight as well. Fingers crossed that the next interview happens sooner rather than later. :)
My daddy loved this show so much. As I grew up watching I've learned that I love it too. I watch everyday day now, the old reruns. I've seen some of them over and over but it never gets old. Thanks for sharing!!
I watched Gunsmoke on TV reruns every time I could. I finally bought the whole 20 years a couple of months ago from Amazon. I hope to watch the set before I pass from this earth, but I'm almost 81, so maybe I can.
I so love and appreciate this video. My father and James Arness were so similar in looks, the way they talked, and even their walk and mannerisms. And my father loved him as well as John Wayne. I'm hoping they have all met and are having a good time in Heaven. Blessings to you and thank you so much for sharing this wonderful video. You are loved. I am in tears here.
I remember watching some kind of thing that had Peter Graves and Jim Arness. It was on while I was working on something or another and would look away from the screen and I'd totally lose track of which was speaking. Added in Edit: Another fantastic interview and I love that Janet shared some of that collection with you and by extension, us. Another great Sunday morning view.
I used to watch Gunsmoke with my dad when I was a child. I'm so happy there are 20 years of Gun Smoke! I watch the re-runs all the time. That's when tv had quality programs without bad language. James Arness and the other actors of Gun Smoke made it worthwhile. It's great to see the transition from black/white to color. The quality of the writing of the episodes through the years was amazing. It's too bad there isn't a program of this quality today!
Rob...I'm sounding like a broken record, you are the a saint for all these wonderful , marvelous clips of our heroes! I know it's hard work, but with you...it's a labor of love! And it shows! God Bless and please don't stop.
Rob thank you very much for making this, your guests talking about Jim Arness and John Wayne are the best, this is a great video keep up the good work...Roger Amos...
A lovely lady giving a very down to earth interview. Someone I love listening to is this lady. I love Westerns- Gunsmoke a favourite. James Arness was Matt Dillon. It wasn't a character he was playing at all. I loved his laid back style, that's why it wasn't like watching a movie. I hope it comes back on tv here in NZ. We usually have repeats of all the series. Never tire of watching repeats. Just love the characters.
I really enjoyed this episode of "A Word on Westerns". I saw the first one on James Arness and this update was unexpected and made my day . Having both Janet and Bruce in the update was great. Thanks for doing it.
My dad, my mom, and my grandma were Gunsmoke fans. I have only become a fan recently. Started with me watching it on Me-TV, to pass the time when I take my Synthroid medicine in the morning. Well that's how it started, and now I guess I'm addicted. I truly kick myself having grown up during all the years when all the cast is still alive. I'm born in 1970 and I truly wish I had appreciated all of this when I was young. I've often wondered if anybody from the remaining cast, ever goes to Wild West City. I would imagine Buck Taylor might be one that would be able to go. I didn't even know that Burt Reynolds had been on the show. I have such a bigger appreciation for the wild West TV shows. I really do hope someday, who's ever left would go to Wild West City in New Jersey. I would completely drag my husband and daughter down there to meet whoever would come. I thought it was so cool that Dub Taylor, AKA hubba bubba gum fighter is Buck Taylor's father! He's also in Back to the Future Part 3. Janet sounds like such a lovely person and I'm so glad she and Jim were happy for so many years. I bet I could sit and talk with her for hours about everything.🤗
Great interview! Seeing her choke up at times you can tell the Love they have. I actually bought 2 things from Mrs. Arness of ebay. A bronze luggage tag that has the opening seen of Gunsmoke that has Gene Feldman name inscribed on it that James Arness gave away at Christmas time to cast and crew and a set of toy guns and holster still in the box signed by Jim from How The West Was Won, Proudly displayed!
Great interview (as usual). Particularly loved the Red River comments. Recently saw the remake for the first time and felt that it was just marvelous. Not just the great acting but the cinematography was perfect. It was such a joy that I had to call my wife in (who is not a great western fan) to watch it with me.
Thanks so much for this fascinating interview! Makes you want to stand up and salute the flag. We just got the Autobiography by James Armess-wonderful!!! My husband and I watch Gunsmoke every nite. Our 2 grown sons are now watching. 1son just got us Paramont + and it has all episode's from season 7-20. Hoping they will add season 1-6 which are priceless. Do you know how we can order How the West Was Won? You are a gem for posting this interview.
It was a wonderful series and I still look forward to it today! It was always on on Saturday night in our house.. He was a phenomenal actor and a great man! Thank you so much!!
I watched Gunsmoke in the last 6 months. I think it was Black & white TV. It was 11 Yrs worth with 32-33 episodes each. Then I guess modern TV in color & I’m still watching them. Growing up I never saw where Matt Dillion was not a sheriff but now a rancher married & had a daughter. The wife died & it was just he & daughter. She was going back east to finish her education. The next episode she was engaged. I’m still in the middle of these episodes & still watching. It’s amazing I’m not a big western movie watcher but I’m hooked & looking forward to the next episode. They’re great. Funny part I’m streaming all this episode’s. That’s called modern technology. LOL. The second sets of Gunsmoke doesn’t have Kitty, Doc, Festus or the ones that played in the first sessions in Dodge City. I loved them but I like the 2nd set also. Different but great. I would of liked to see John Wayne & he together. I have to say 2 of the best actors ever. Besides 2 of best looking male actors. This is the first time I meet his real wife. Interesting to watch & hear about his real life. Thank you Jim Arness it’s been great! Big lost for Hollywood & us! Miss Jim Arness (Matt Dillon) & John Wayne lose for all of us.
This was a joy to watch, I remember my father and oldest brother were huge western fans, they loved Gunsmoke. I always felt that Mr Arness was a humble man. I didn't know he was a skier. It was nice to hear about him from someone who was married to him. No fake or made up stuff. Gun smoke reruns still come on. To know 3 Generations are still watching that show, it's exciting each time we sit down to watch, reliving the memories. My dad passed 3 years ago. He still watched Gun smoke reruns till he passed. That was the number one show. No other Western could compete. No other Marshal, could compare to Matt Dillion. I'm smiling now, thinking of my dad and how we had to be quiet. Give my dad respect when he was home watching his favorite show. Next to that was all the cowboy movies. The Duke. If my dad was off work. You can bet he was in the living room in front of the TV. We kids better be quiet. It was dad time to relax, enjoy whatever he was watching. 👍💯❤️. Love, respect and positivity always. Vee, Andrew, and Family.🙂✌️🖖👋.
This was a great treat you were able to provide us GS fans. It's heart warming for me to know that Matt Dillon and Jim ARE the same Wonderful , caring and Hot shot Men !
Arness was wounded at Anzio and apparently during his entire run with Gunsmoke he had to live with terrible pain. RIP Marshall. Thanku for your service.
I have many of my GreatGrandparents things and after my parents died there was a fire in their home and much was lost and many things such as an antique wall clock was saved and piano from The Chicago Worlds Fair was saved so Janet please do treasure those beautiful things and the cups are beautiful I truly hope you keep them too Your a loving and thoughtful lady so I kind of think you will and Thank You for sharing your lovely memories they are beautiful 🤩!
I look forward every Sunday for these treasures and todays episode about James Arness was one of the best I have seen, and I have watched as many as UA-cam has. Mr. Word: You are THE WORD on Westerns. I suspect part of the puzzle on why Westerns are making such a resurgence is you and A WORD ON WESTERNS. You do all the old stars of yesteryear so righteous, and have a way that brings out the best of the best. I have a facebook group called: LOST ANGELES and the star of WAR OF THE WORLDS from 1952 Ann Robinson is a member, and I made a posting about the A WORD ON WESTERNS weekly series, and she chimed in about her love for you, and what you do for the preservation, of a culture. I too, take off my Resistol , and tip my hat to you for such a special job well done. In a world so full of crap and worse, you are a breath of Iverson Ranch, of all that is sacred to us born in the 50's bunch, and grew up with all the Western Stars you showcase, and honor every week. I can not thank you enough. You Rock better than Jagger. Thank you again. RP.
Thank you for your very very nice comments, robin. Ann Robinson is a dear lady, talented and very nice, too. And, I checked out your fascinating FB page, LOST ANGELES, and joined. I kinda like your comment...THE WORD ON WESTERNS. Thanks.
Miss Janet, you had the most wonderful man in the world. What a guy he was....I will always love, respect this mand as long as I live. He was such a real person. You both were so lucky to find and have and be Married to each other.....God Bless you my love...
My father has been deceased for 50 years come September 11th, he loved Gunsmoke and James Arness! He never missed an episode during his life, it was his most favorite tv show. I miss my dad and James very much, I was very young but I also enjoyed watching the show too
Thanks Rob just love hearing all those wonderful stories from the people who were there and as usual your research is extensive and flawless much to Bruce's embarrassment. If it's Sunday I can count on a new episode after I get home from church.
Great collection of interviews! You always seem to get guests who are never at a loss for words (although there MAY be a huge pile of stuff on the cutting room floor that we never see). You definitely ask the right questions and in a way that makes them comfortable. I tried doing radio interviews many decades ago and was a complete flop. The worst one wasn't my fault. The guy who was supposed to interview former heavyweight boxing champion Floyd Patterson didn't show up, so I had to do it....with no prepared questions. Not only do I know nothing about boxing, but I couldn't understand a thing the guy said when I actually DID come up with a question. I gladly leave that job to the pros, like you.
I really like Janet. She seems very genuine and lovely. I can see why James fell for her.
My family and I love Gun Smoke. James Arness is a legend and a western icon! Thank you so much for sharing this and all that you do to promote The Old West!
Rob, I could sit here for hours listening to Janet, Bruce, and yourself. Love Gunsmoke, thank you.

One of the best there are so many that are great actors in the old westerns.
I watched Gunsmoke with my grandparents and now I watch it everyday after work. James was phenomenal and so handsome.
This is just priceless. Especially for us that grew up with Gun Smoke.

Nice sentiments, Jynette. We're all lucky that so many channels have begun show so many of our favorites in repeats. Thanks.
@@AWordonWesterns You’re very welcome!
Gunsmoke. One word.
Thanks, Liz. Making magic memories come alive. Well, kinda.
I loved James Arness and I miss him more. I bought all the videos and watch them over and over.
Thanks, tuck. Jim was the perfect choice!!
I loved Gunsmoke with my family ..
Thank you.
Great video! I've loved Gunsmoke for 50 years - still watch it every night on INSP.
Same here!
I watch it on Pluto TV 24/7, love it!!
A great show with Jim's wife telling us how he really was.
All right! A long video again.
Appreciate all you and your sons efforts, Rob! Thanks.
FANTASTIC interview. I find it really interesting and refreshing that all these western shows have returned and have captured a whole new generation.
Me, too, Teri. It's nice to see them again, some for the first time.
Love it!! Thanks, jana
His comfortable confidence, was his best quality. Didn't seem like acting at all....thats talent....
Oh yes! Gunsmoke and Jim remain one of my favorites! The writhing still stands up. So great! Thanks for this interview :)
Gunsmoke was the favorite TV show of our minister when I was growing up in small town Kansas.
Rob, thanks for that great interview about James and Janet Arness. That brought a lot of nice memories. I'm also a fan of Peter Grave.
Thanks, Nicole. I'm a fan of Peters, too
That was great Rob! Thanks!
Knowing Jim Arness military background, as well as the kind of person he is, I have immense respect for him.

What an enjoyable episode Rob.
What a legend of westerns.
Thakyou again Rob & kind regards from Perth, Western Australia 🇦🇺
My daddy loved this show so much. As I grew up watching I've learned that I love it too. I watch everyday day now, the old reruns. I've seen some of them over and over but it never gets old. Thanks for sharing!!
Same here, Edna. Thanks.
great episode , I loved watching James Arness in Gunsmok
I watched Gunsmoke on TV reruns every time I could. I finally bought the whole 20 years a couple of months ago from Amazon. I hope to watch the set before I pass from this earth, but I'm almost 81, so maybe I can.
You can do it Walter! Let us know your favorite episode for each year!
🤠 Rob , you make my Sunday mornings with your interviews …takes me way back 👍 thank you for preserving the memories ….
I still watch Gunsmoke. I love it and all the actors on it. I'm 82 and big western fan. I love John WAYNE' to. P Drozd
Thanks, Kyle. It was fun going thru those "treasures."
I used to really enjoy Gunsmoke.....and later on I enjoyed the re-runs too. Gunsmoke provided a lot of entertainment for our whole family.
I loved and enjoyed this so much. A heartfelt thank you…🥰
Glad you enjoyed it, Sherry. Thanks.
Hello sherry how’re you doing?
I was smiling through most of this great interview!👍👍😊 gunsmoke taught me many valuable life lessons growing up
Glad you enjoyed it
I used to watch Gunsmoke with my dad when I was a child.
Thanks, Mer. Glad there are over 600 episodes for us all to revisit and enjoy. Wonderful shows.
Rob...I'm sounding like a broken record, you are the a saint for all these wonderful , marvelous clips of our heroes! I know it's hard work, but with you...it's a labor of love! And it shows! God Bless and please don't stop.
Thanks, cory. I do love preserving these memories to share with fans...while I can!
Somehow interviews get better and better. Loved this one. Thanks Rob.
Thanks, phil
Rob thank you very much for making this, your guests talking about Jim Arness and John Wayne are the best, this is a great video keep up the good work...Roger Amos...
Thanks, ROGER
Always a pleasure to see the next episode of AWOW, though the ones with Bruce always delivers just a little bit more. Thanks so much for these Rob!
Thanks, Margot. I hope it returns down there. I'm watching reruns most every day here.
My mom’s all time favorite show! I still remember how excited my momma was when she got Gunsmoke pajamas for Christmas!
I want a pair! Thanks, Karla.
I really enjoyed this episode of "A Word on Westerns". I saw the first one on James Arness and this update was unexpected and made my day . Having both Janet and Bruce in the update was great. Thanks for doing it.
Our pleasure, Steve. Than ks
I loved watching gunsmoke as a kid and I still watch the reruns and I'm 60 now I liked all the characters in that show rip Mr arness
Our son's are named Marshall, Matt & Dylan. I loved gunsmoke.
WOW! Awesome, Rita.
Thanks Rob that was Great we are are lucky to have you as a Western Fan and present videos of a great time in Movie History and Great Legends
Wonderful, Chickie. Liking westerns is a nice, safe and satisfying “addiction.” Welcome to A WORD ON WESTERNS!
This is such a cool and endearing interview!🙏❤️
Thanks, Nic
What a great interview❤️, thank you so much for this beautiful video🇺🇸🤠.
Wow! You got some real goodies, Neal. Nice!
Thank you.
I'm a HUGE fan of Gunsmoke (both radio & TV) and Jim Arness.
I often listen to the radio episodes of GUNSMOKE during my morning hikes. Time flies!!
Great interview (as usual). Particularly loved the Red River comments. Recently saw the remake for the first time and felt that it was just marvelous. Not just the great acting but the cinematography was perfect. It was such a joy that I had to call my wife in (who is not a great western fan) to watch it with me.
Thanks, Ira. It's a pretty good remake. Lots of care went into the making of it.
Loved hearing your memories👍still watching Gunsmoke everyday and will continue as long as it's on!
I grew up watching all the cowboy shows. Of course we only had 4 channels. I still to this day , watch them.
Very nice, Veede. I totally understand. Shhhh, the Duke's on.
Fantastic interview .. Thanx so much Rob. I really look forward to your videos . Take care 🙏
Thanks, Bea. Share 'em with your friends.
I still watch gunsmoke every night on INSP can't get enough of the legend.... Real heroes like this guy are fading out what a shame!!!
This was a great treat you were able to provide us GS fans. It's heart warming for me to know that Matt Dillon and Jim ARE the same Wonderful , caring and Hot shot Men !
Thanks, Jeff. Jim surely was special. Glad he and Janet paired up.
Arness was wounded at Anzio and apparently during his entire run with Gunsmoke he had to live with terrible pain. RIP Marshall. Thanku for your service.
Thank you, Robert.
Another GREAT conversation. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks, Vera
Great work as always, thank you for keeping the memories of the old west alive 🤠
Delightful! Thanks 😊 💜
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a nice interview
Thanks, Trudy.
Thanks, rich. It's always fun to embarrass Box!!
Arness was so lucky to meet such a nice lady.
Fabulous interview. Wonderful memories of our childhoods!!
Thank you so much, I’ll share with my family
Thanks, Melissa.
I still love GUN SMOKE and always will 🥰
Great collection of interviews!
Wow, that must have been some interview, MJ. Nerve wracking, I'm sure. Glad you enjoy mine! Thanks.
