Queen Elizabeth leaves Portsmouth for her first official deployment.

This is a real time video showing HMS Queen Elizabeth leaving the dock, turning around in Portsmouth Harbour and then heading into the Solent.
It was filmed on her first official deployment to sea on the 1st May 2021.

At first I was confused as I was sure Gosport was on the wrong side of the exiting boaty, then read you blurb, I didn't know P'mouth harbour was that big. Then I realised the crew were standing all around it, even atop the flight ramp. I must have an odd brain as my mind then drifted to wondering how many needed to 'go' but could not step out of line to visit the head ! Great watching this, presume from steeple; I would normally go down the front and watch from my car as I did with it arriving, missed the departure so thanks for this.
