@@krisavi It might have been just overheating. Either way throwing it away is painful 1080 tis still fetch a pretty good (although overrated) price on ebay.
Coltons has nervous energy, but we all know he has a good heart, and knows his craft, well deserved.
Fun Fact: The issue with his „old“ Samsung monitor is quite common, unfortunately. Samsung made a HUGE mistake in engineering some of their monitors... mine got the same issue..
I had a tv that did the same thing until it just quit all together
Do you know if there's a fix for this? I have the same issue D:
@@drivingmuffin Unfortunately, I am not aware of any real fix. My Samsung monitor also had some power supply issues, but I doubt those were related. My suspicion is bad solder-joints or some bad chips.
@@drivingmuffin I know this is an old comment section but I’m pretty certain it’s a temperature issue - the monitor is fine, the connections just need to heat up properly.
@@drivingmuffin I solved mine by lowering it from 144hz.
This series should be called LINUS EXPOSING THE HECK OUT OF HIS EMPLOYEES!
Linus making fun of everything he saw was the best part of the video lol
Linus: I am not a fan of the case choice and ur radiator doesnt fit
colton: *is worrying about the chair*
"They call me the one coat wizard" had me in tears. I love you Colton, you got a funny bone that just resonates with me.
my fave parts of this videos is seeing Linus and the Guys interact lol
This is the most chaotic episode of these tech upgrades and I'm all here for it
Ah yes, time for another episode of "Linus shames his employee's living conditions"
imo it was more him making fun of his habits
Idk on the other hand its good for a boss to understand the quality of life that he supports (though maybe not as invasive)
To be fair Colton was kind of a mess
@@jtaicello I dunno, bud, pretty sure many viewers of this video are in a way worse state than Colton. Through no fault of their own.
I've done home delivery work, been in a thousand different houses in a year, and done social services work as well - if you reckon Colton is a mess (they were totally playing this up for the video, he's got a sweet pad!) well...
not their fault? Huh? If your place is a mess, clean it. It’s not that hard.
"I'm sorry, when I get mad I point sometimes" is the most Canadian thing I've ever heard
@shagbag913 I'm sorry, do you need a hug? I'm here for you buddy
when I saw "colton you're fired" at the end of the intro, I CACKLED. Linus, please give whoever edited that in a raise.
“They call me the One Coat Wizard” lmao best thing I’ve heard all day
the potter book makes so much sense now
9:35 Wait what? Is he "oooing" on 32 gb of RAM? Chill man, 8 gb-club is still strong in 2020
He is doing that because of "Chrome".
Bruh for 5k he should of gone for 64gb and the part list for that pc really hurt to watch. And 8gb and 2020 is really painful. I use that much almost just idling
playing arma 3 with tons of mods and it's using alone over 7gb of ram
@@gilbertsikora3007 The more RAM you have the more the OS will use while idling and 8 gb is enough if all you do is web browsing and word, but yeah for 5K this setup had many weird choices.
Sounded to me more like a "niiiiice" kind of "ooo" than a "oh-oh" kind of "ooo"
2:13 "It's mainly the D" LOL, I must have rewound and watched that at least ten times; that's the most hilariously horrible sounding piano note I've ever heard! 🤣😂
Linus looks tall standing next to Colton and it's unsettling...
Linus start a series called "Everybody hates Colton".
As a Chris, I can definitely get behind that
It started in 2015
@@TTaiiLs i hate colton
The 3080 started it for me
The only guy named Colton I ever met was a hardcore Heroin addict, I think I like LTT Colton more.
Colton: *works for a techtube conglomerate*
Also Colton: *can't even pick proper parts for a PC* :D
This series is just room raiders Linus edition! And it’s brilliant!
I love how Linus noted that this video was made before the Ryzen 5000 series as if they would even use Ryzen in the build since this whole thing is sponsored by Intel. Imagine though?😂
They noted that because he said the 10900k was the fastest gaming CPU and he knew he was going to get 420,690,000 comments saying "lol but Ryzen 5000 series" if he didn't put that note in to say when this video was made the statement was technically still true.
I'm surprised they were able to mention Ryzen in this Intel sponsored video? 🤔
It would have been less than 5k
@@jlu Linus said multiple times in his explanations to us about taking sponsors that he will never let a sponsor have him spread misinformation, He's more then happy to say what's great about their product but never say one's better then the other or whatever if it's not true. In this case that was him saying the 10900k is the fastest, if he didn't mention Ryzen he woulda been giving us false info. I'm sure Intel didn't like him mentioning that lol but oh well.
Linus: spends 5k on a baddas setup
Also linus: *realizes that it cant run crysis*
Coltons clothing style is actually so much better than everyone at the office.
I talked to Colton in the phone yesterday. Most friendly guy ever.
In the phone?
Doubted
@@theswaff699 yep. Wait for a video about building a PC for a subscriber and you’ll see
@@swaram.2868 loooool alright my dude
@@swaram.2868 ohhh u gave spoilers
all I gained from that is that Colton is the kind of person I would NOT let borrow my car for even the shortest of trips.
Colton is probably the funniest of the group. He and Linus should record more often together.
"Your drinking problem."
[points to a wine rack containing eight bottles, picks up a can of love-in-a-canoe light beer]
@@mephistovonfaust That's what all alcoholics say I don't have a drinking problem I barely drink it at all.
I've had a Tequila bottle in my kitchen for the last ten years because I never drink alcohol at home…
AMD is getting all the attention in the PC world, meanwhile Intel just giving LTT money for a few minutes back in the spotlight
Intel: "please notice us" 😭
No you don't understand...each system they sponsor skews the Steam hardware survey in their favor .0001%
Q: What do you call a boy who finally stood up to the bullies?
A: An ambulance.
@@hamzawaseembajwa6870 Intel has a bigger market share than AMD..just saying
10700k was around $200 so yes sometime it can be an option too if motherboard can handle it. You never know.
That monitor is totally fixable then. Probably connection reconnects from heat expansion. Also, it's a great video opportunity. Hint hint lol.
The fact that Colton gets mad and immediately apologises is pretty cool
This week on linus breaks into his employee's homes and roasts them...
I mean, Colton deserves it
