Ripping off Mora is a great way to piss off the knife gods
Bad clones, bad clones what u gonna do...
When the DBK boys come for you!
Lol I didn’t notice what the baton was until I paused the video, put my phone down and my wife picked it up. She then asked “wtf are you watching?!” lmao!
I didnt catch it either, that's hilarious xD
Why would you bother making a clone of a Mora? They are the masters of making really good, inexpensive knives.
Oh that's right, so you can make a *shitty* copy and sell it for more money.
It isn't a clone...................it's a totally different knife.....apart from the grind maybe.
It also isn't sold as a Mora.
@@willd6515 Exactly, if it was being advertised as a mora it would be a different story, it was inspired by a mora kansbol but it's being sold under another brand so what's the problem? it's probably much cheaper than a kansbol aswell
@Lord Siddhartha Exactly, if you told me that it was being sold as a mora, ok it would be a scam but if we followed that logic every company that made full flat ground knives would be scamming people
@Sven3xs It says CRIVIT in the package
Mora is already a Supermarket knife. I remember I had one from the bargain bin for $8. It didn't cut very well and never held a good edge long, but the sheath made it convenient for the toolbox. I guess they have some better cutting models now because of the "bushcraft" trend. The steel is slightly tougher than the Chinese versions. Not too bad value for the money, it will last years of good use.
The beginning 😂 best when you are from Germany 🤣🇩🇪

That Renegade bit hit me right in the nostalgia feels ...
I never feel safe in my super market. Especially if I go in hungry. My wallet always cries!
The Kansbol is very underrated, the special grind allows you to do such tasks as gutting fish and prepping food, while still being able to carve wood. If you only feather stick and baton I guess its no good
Yeah Its knife for people who finaly understand are not in survival mode and if they ever be it probably not happen with that super heavy survival blade anywhere near. Best knife is companion universal light knife you don't need to leave behind when you go to week long trip.
Yep. The Mora 2000 and Kansbol are my favourite knife at any price point. And guess what, the Mora 2000 is the standard issue knife for the Swedish army and has been since the 90’s. Turns out the army wants a great knife that cuts well, keeps an edge and, most importantly, sharpens very easily back to razor sharp. The 2000/Kansbol blade shape is also great for the serious tactical business of putting spread onto bread with that blade geometry.
Haven’t used my F1 for a decade and sold all my Bark Rivers and Esse and whatever when I realised the only knives I ever take with me are the 2000, the Kansbol, the No 1 or 2 or the 120 depending on the mood. Desert island knife is the Kansbol. Best knife ever made. Or maybe the 2000 because of more ergonomic round spine, better grip and more hygienic high polish blade.
Trying to clone a knife that is already legendary AND inexpensive is just stupid. What benefit does the customer have from buying it instead of the Mora? Great video boys! Loved the Renegade bit.
The Kansbol itself is the successor of the famous Mora 2000. The knife that first had that now legendary blade shape and which has been the most popular knife in the Swedish outdoor community for decades as well as the standard issue knife for Swedish soldiers for a long time.
I was researching Mora Garbergs and I found you guys. Now I just watch for entertainment!
.... and I’m buying a Garberg.
Boys, I've been watching your channel for years and I must say this introduction was the best you've ever done. Simply splendid!
Awesome video! I’d love to see an in depth review of the Mora Pathfinder
His face while on the motorcycle oh my God I died 🤣
K in the Swedish kniv is not silent like the English knife. Kniv, not niv.
Ahh another Thursday and another great video. These keep me sane.
And the classic return of the “mic”
Loved the video boys! You've really stepped it up lately
In Russia, only bears use fake Mora.
У нас в России с поддельной Mora ходят только медведи.

I love you're channel. I have some German heritage and found the other language use very entertaining! I have been watching you guys for a while now. Keep up the good entertaining videos. And I will keep watching them!!!
One question: Why does Maarten baton with the beautiful "Microphon" of the Last Video😂
I love my Mora Kansbol (green is the better color) and I use it for light work, but I think it shines most in carving and food prep.
I didn’t like that supermarket before and the video doesn’t change this.
Greetings from Germany.
If Deadpool had sons that enjoyed Bushcraft it would be these Two lol. I always laugh after I realized what I just watched.
I live in the Midwest of the USA and Wal-Marts now have a Mora companion/clipper knockoff and it's a complete joke. I can't remember if it's Ozark Trail (Wal-Mart's outdoor brand) or something else.
Those bamboozlers!!
Glad I watched this guys as I have bought Lidl own brand knives before. If I had seen this for sale I would have thought it was made by Mora for Lidl.
The new baton design looks familiar
it has great ergonomics. Just feels familiar in the hand somehow
@@DutchBushcraftKnives it needs some sort of pommel on the other end to stop it slipping out of the hand. Ergonomically, i'd suggest some sort of rounded shape, maybe two of them for extra safety.
@@hello7533 "bollock baton"
To be fair the Kansbol costs like 35 euros here in Czech Republic. This clone/fake/simililar knife from Lidl was like 5.7 euros(yeah, it really was 6 times chaper) :D
I went to buy it and try it out but (it seems luckily) they didn't have it in the lidl store locally. Now I just need a reason to buy the Kansbol in green :D Thank you guys for the review :)
Amazing videos guys.Greetings from Greece.I've been a subscriber for a while now and i can say you are the best.
Super good video dudas! See y’all soon ! Take care
I was just thinking how I'd love a new 'Damn it's a Scam'.😃Thank You, Brøs. For scratching the proverbial itch.🙏🏽
I wish my grocery store sold Morakniv.
You guys are so funny you guys are great as love watching you guys Keep up the great and funny work
Another good one boys!!!
I own an even cheaper clone of that Mora. It can not even be sharpened^^ It was a gift...
I really wonder why any company would try to make cheap Mora clones. It is hard to beat Mora prices but at least in Mora they know what they are doing. Do they think they can be cheaper and better? rediculous.
Nothing beats a Mora! The best blade for the buck! There are seven hanging on my fixed blade rack among many more costly makes. But for my go to knife, the Mora Robust or the Mora HD Companion. Nothing fancy, but sturdy beyond belief.
Thanks for naming the tracks!
I thought for sure he said “if you scam one of our fuhrers” not “viewers” 😂
Спасибо, ребята за очередной выпуск 👍❤️
Hello Maarten and Mikkie, In one way it's good that you've reached a level that others try to copy you but bad when those who copy have bad results! Hey, a dbl. edged sword, for sure. Oh, ever take a sword to a good bushcraft outing?? Anyway, love your vids, can't wait until the next episode!! Be safe, take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 👍👍🙏🏻😇👊
I don't know... I think the longer I've been messing around in wood craft the more I lean towards a thinner blade. I personally love the Kansbol but I understand where you're coming from. Maybe a good topic for a rainy day would be thicker vs thinner blade for wood craft. Anyways, Atb Sean, Californistan, U.S.A.
The commercial between regular and destruction test was from Lidl 😂🤣
It just goes to show that D.B.K. Tests are the best.
The “microphone”!!!! Hahaha!!
I really LOVE that fx gun!! Safe good long term investment!!! Perhaps y start a hedge fund someday
if LIDL sells this knife under the same name as mora ... then it's a fake mora ... otherwise they have enough grounds to sue your asses

Nice, was about to check it tomorrow at store, no longer want to do it :D
Oh damn still no Bradford guardian 4.5 cpm3v again 😭 quality video as always lads 🍻🍻
The mora would bend aswell with that piece of wood.
happened to me 2 times. Any big knot will f*ck up the thin part of the blade.
Still a good bushcraft knife, just dont go crazy with it.
He used the mora on the same one though
@@samnottheotherone4363 pretty sure he did not.
There is no way that there is a noticeable difference between the clone and the real one. (For batoning)
@@memento1469 Well, there clearly was. The 'clone' most likely has lower quality steel and a much worse heat treat than the Morkaniv. I've used my Kansbol for light batoning for over a year now and it has not bent on me once.
@@joshua7233 it will bend if you have a harder piece to baton...I have done it myself.
They batoned a very bad piece with the clone....so it bend. If they batoned the exact same piece with the kansbol, it would have bend aswell. No matter the heat treatment.
A good heat treatment will help a bit, but it won't prevent the damage all together.
@@memento1469 Any knife will bend under a certain amount of pressure, especially if it was not made for heavy-duty tasks. My point is that overall there is no way that that clone is on par with the Morakniv and I think the video clearly illustrates that.
Love you guys great channel
Lmao
Famous German performance hahaha
Microphone is still adorable. 😂
I just got a Kansbol and i love it. (it’s genuine) it’s for sure not a super strong knife but i’m getting a jakaariupuukko too
How dare they fake the sacred MraKniv!!!
That's the funniest pellet shot i think I've ever seen
I leave this under every video I watched, it helps the algorithm..
those kansbols go for 30-40 euros here in Slovenia. would still pick bushcraft over kansbol...and all time fav companion and robust too :D
how good is 12c27 i use it to make all my knives??love the vid
when you aim with gun/crossbow etc, keep your right elbow tuck on ribs, you get more control and you are smaller target
Thumbs up again gaaaiz! 👍😁
Not just fake and shitty. Dangerous.
Thanks DBK Kops! 😃
Here in Spain LIDL sales a different Mora lookalike knife. It's more like a Mora Basic. They also sales a full tang knife. Both cost 4.99€. Not bad for that price but obviously worse than an old good Mora.
Is that a batoning "Microphone" from last episode?! :D
Love you guys but the Mora after the batoning looked bent at the tip at 7:26, to me anyway. But even if it was it took a wailing.
O yeah Wooooooodan boy
I would love to see the guys test a Buck 124 !
You spelled scams wrong. :) Thanks for the video
I like the Mora Robust better. Next is the Companion Heavy Duty. Other than my Eldris for small tasks, the others are overpriced and don't do anything the other 3 can do.
the robust surely is the cheapest with the 3.2 mm thickness blade. i ordered that too. plus the basic stainless steel for food preparing purpose.
Friend of mine bought 3 Mora clones from the OBI hardware store and shit they are out of 12c27mov and cost 6€..... Morakniv copies traditional knife styles and they ain’t even originated a molded plastic handle or sheath. So as long they don’t print the mora logo on the knife they can copy the style all day long.
If that wooden microphone is part of the giveaway i will become a patrion straight away
not joking
One of the winners will defenitely get that mic!
@@DutchBushcraftKnives i did it
i better win that bloody mic now!
Yeah, what is the price difference? Because I'm losing my knives everywhere, I prefer to have a bunch of them around my yard.
Normally I don't shoot knives with a gun and I don't shave with them. All I need is to sharpen a stick, cut a thin cord and sometimes slice a sausage.
Well, about the mora 2000,,,,, probably the best Handel in the world
That seems the case, for all Moras, Bark Rivers, Lionsteels , TRC Knives, Ka-Bar Beckers etc... I was saying what you say, 274 knives ago, when I only owned Moras and Opinels... The higher the price, the better the handle ergos become, also you get better fit and finish, general quality, blade steel and better heat treatment. The more money you spend on your next knife, the more times you will change your opinion.
@@greekveteran2715 true
i agree the handle is very nice
I also bought this knife with slightest hope it might be mora blade they used. Just to clear up, this knife was sold for 149 CZK. Cheapest you can get kansbol in czech republic is aroun 900 CZK and that's around 3-4% of my monthly wage and I'm not doing bad. So you can see the appeal for not-knife people. And yes, the handle is just awful.
I feel safe pretty much everywhere but I also carry a gun... LOL but seriously why the f**k would someone clone a $15 knife?? I can understand why they would on an expensive knife just trying to rip people off but a mora WTF man!!!
Mora Kansbol is around €40.-
As a german, sorry. Jokes aside, the only stainless knife i have is a victorinox. I don't like stainless steel for knifes even the cheapest knife i've got from a workplace to cut folie is carbon steel probably not heat treated at all, it got to be my number one edc knife
these knives are everywhere 🤮
One year later they have a clone of a bark river ish looking knife, I took one just to see how bad can it be - I had no ideea.
That's a nice baton you got there... looks a lot like a microphone...

I live in germany and i would never buy a knife from Lidl 😅 Bullshit at it's finest
I'm planning on buying new microphone, can you recommend yours? Looks kind of handy and can even baton.... What's the knife on the table Marten is playing around with?
why would someone even buy a fake mora they are already so cheap 🤣 mad
But I agree the Kansbol is a weird design and doesn't exactly thrive in anything
The microphone is back! 🎤
I am from Germany ❤️ and Some Knivefactories make good knives but the Lidl knives are TRASH 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Stimmt
Actually I do not think it is a scam. It says nowhere it is a Mora, it just looks like one. Further my guess is that Lidle bought a large batch of Kansboll knives from Mora, with lower specs and a low price. Then they sell it as a Crivit knife, the brand of Lidle. The average Lidle customer does not even know what Mora is. (In the Netherlands we think about kroketten en bitterballen).
I just started the video and there are two things that stand out. Crivit is a brand that shows up in Lidl, but Lidl is not a manufacturer. They just import some cheap stuff from China. If you look on AliExpress you will find the exact same product and at similar price, if not cheaper. This knife absolutely is a Chinese clone, it's just sold under a "legitimate" name and at least it's not sold as a fake brand. I mean they don't try to sell it as a Mora.
Hi guys! As I understand it, in general, Mora Kansbol is worse than others because of the thin blade? I just thought about buying it for a long time, but now I think it might be better to take Mora Companion?
Nah, if you want a knife that’s actually good for cutting you should get the Kansbol. The 2.5mm Moras are way better cutters than the 3+mm Moras like Robust and Garberg.
The Kansbol is WAY better for whittling than the Garberg.
