Besides this overpowered specs, this Strix Scar 17 SE inherits recent features from recent Strix Scar models like Keystone 2 (magnetic RGB profile key / drive) and Armor Cap. The message that you illuminate with the UV light in the lid is one of the answer in Scar Runner, one of sub-games in ROG Citadel XV.
@TheRelaxingEnd which such a HUGE fan base. I don't understand how these videos can't be higher quality, considering how many companies sponsor you as well... 4K 60FPS 😏😏
It's a demonstration of the full power of the laptop. Turn off Turbo mode, cap your frames, use a cooling pad, and it won't be an issue. Doesn't matter what system you have, use its full power, and you'll be seeing similar temps.
I actually have a ROG gaming laptop that looks very similar to this (maybe not the same model, but similar in structure/design), in fact I'm watching this on it right now!
I'm watching this on my old friend ROG Strix Scar 17 GL703 (2018). Everything works better than expected except the screen, it has light leaks at the edges, strange stripes appear only after a few tens of minutes.
A laptop with liquid metal to cool the laptop and the CPU still hovers in the 90s, I have a gaming variant ASUS vivobook X571LH and CPU reaches 97 degrees with thermal paste.
It's the best gaming laptop in terms of performance, but the downside is that the screen is too dark in the shadow. I can't see the enemy behind building or inside the cave.
@@kaiturax Because he's using it in Turbo and Ultimate GPU mode, which uses the full power of all the parts. Add a good cooling pad, lower your ambient room temperature, lower the Fan/GPU settings to Balanced, and your system will be fine. You should never use your system on Turbo for a long time. Sure it can run, but it's not advisable to always use the max power & settings of your laptop, it won't last long at all. This laptop has one of the most powerful mobile processors & graphics cards in the market currently. Heating is always an issue for gaming laptops, especially while gaming at Max settings in Turbo mode. It isn't any different here.
@@kaiturax What do expect a power draw like that out of a tight enclosure on turbo mode? it gets very hot. Turned turbo mode off will drop it well below 90 degrees.

I have it too, same thing happened me, I contacted asus about it and I was told to send it back and they ran a diagnostics and it turned out to have a faulty motherboard which apparently is a common issue with these, I advise u check it out
@@TheRelaxingEnd Same settings as you in Cyberpunk. Also I keep getting this little stutter once every second as well. It's pretty annoying. However, I had another Asus laptop recently that I had to send back (Zephyrus M16: i9-12900H, RTX 3080Ti, 32GB DDR5) and I am literally getting half of the performance in games on this laptop (Strix Scar 17 SE: i9-12950HX, RTX 3080Ti, 64GB DDR5) that I was getting on the previous laptop I had. Even when the CPU usuage is 1%, it's sitting around 95 Celsius. I have been keeping my room as cool as possible and I also have laptop cooling pad underneath the Strix Scar. Most of the time in my favorite game, Quake 1996, I am getting 250-400fps which is less than half of what I was getting on the Zephyrus M16, but one time I was getting over 1000fps when i changed literally no settings at all (*both of these fps numbers were from idling at the starting level with the three hallways). None of this makes any sense. I have the fans on Turbo and the GPU on Ultimate mode in Armory Crate.

Is it normal for ROG Strix laptops to hit 95°C while averaging around at low 90s? AMD says it's normal for its Ryzen 9 laptop CPUs under load and the ROG Strix subreddit also says high CPU temps are normal for these laptops
I was watching that too. Laptops are just difficult to control thermals because of space. However a lot of these high temps were when he was running 200-400 fps.
That's one of the (gaming) laptop's biggest flaws, I afraid. While we do have laptop cooler fans these days, I truly wish we have one powerful enough to tame such beast.
You shouldn't be using Turbo mode anyways. Playing with Turbo Mode, max settings and an uncapped framerate will do that to any system. There are ways to mitigate the temperature. This video was just a sample to show what this beast can do at full power. You shouldn't always use your system at its full power, it'll reduce its lifetime drastically.
It is normal during turbo mode at higher settings targeting highest possible frame rate. Locking frame rate to something more reasonable like 120 fps or even better 60 fps will make sure it won't touch 95 degrees. I just locked more demanding games at 60 fps and it never reached 95 degrees under load.
Well one thing , I learned from laptop is that it is never good for gaming. I had a asus laptop with 1080 gpu.
