I had a simple question today about using my Google Calendar it's At 75 I'm having trouble remembering things or remembering how to work certain things on the computer I came across your subscription here and I can't believe how good you are you explain so clearly and carefully and make it make sense right off the bat you're good lady keep it up and thank you so much
Love your videos! I am a special area teacher (Computer Science) for multiple grade levels, so everyday I have different classes on a rotating six day schedule. I would love to have my daily class list in my google calendar, but the best I can do is repeat the events every 8 days. However, it then schedules on weekends and vacations as well and I then have to edit specific events to reflect those changes. Is there something I am missing or is this impossible to do?

Hey there Michelle!. LOVE your stuff!! I have just been using the Mention feature to add contacts but also to add info about students like their ID numbers. I was wondering if there is any other "Cool" things you can do with the Mention (@) feature inside of a school setting. For instance, I would love to be able to change the title of the mention while the hover keeps the contact info intact. Similar to how you can change a link title. Sometime we love to only write the students initials for whatever reason and I would love to do this on the mention (@) feature. Just checking. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for this very informative video. I have a question about scheduling Parent-Teacher interviews. Last term, my colleague showed me a different app in which teachers can create their availability, and make 15 minute (or whatever time) timeslots, and then send the link to parents to fill in when they would like to meet. For example, parent-teacher interviews taking place Thursday evening from 4pm-7pm, and then Friday from 9am-12pm, with 15 minute interview timeslots available. Wondering if Google Calendar has similar features, as having it all there with the meet link included would be a gamechanger!
Love it! Can you do a Google Calendar 2.0 for seasoned users? Also can you focus on the right side tools (like keep?) What can we do with those? Do they cooperate with the calendar? Also - can you talk about if you forget to add the agenda - then you remember can you just edit your calendar and everyone will receive it or do you have to delete & then re-do the event? Thanks!

Thanks for this helpful video. I’m wondering if there is a way to integrate calendars for different email accounts. For example, you have a gmail account for Pocketful Of Primary and maybe you have a personal gmail. Do you just use your personal email and schedule things in your calendar by color coding them for the various different parts of your life or is there a way to see the scheduled things from the different calendars all in one calendar? I’d love to know. Thanks!

Hi. In your video you mention that you will give some tips for importing Outlook calendar but I did not see them. My brokerage uses Outlook and I use OUtlook as well, so I would like to import my business calendar to google. My CRM does not import Outlook calendar, only google.
I don’t have anything on the side like you do on your video. Doe the calendar look different for iPad and laptop?
Question: My google calendar looks like it has a bunch of calendars that I no longer use ( like my archived google classroom calendars). How do I delete those? Should I delete them, or should I leave it alone? I don't want to mess anything up.

How can I set up a link for an appointment link for a business Calendar and people can set up their own appointments, I did this during Covid with students the first year, have not used since, and want to do it again and forgot how to set that up!!! Please help with that!! Maybe it is not Google maybe it is something else!!
Someone in my team shared a calendar of EDUCATION classes with me. I want to copy it and drag all those events and times into a calendar into a calendar of my own so I can make changes to it as I see fit, WITH out interfering with the calendar THEY shared with me. Is that something I can do without interfering with THEIR calendar?? If so, how???

My problem is I have several calendars that I use for various events. But I cannot figure out how to click on the calendar I want and have it displayed. What I'm trying to say I have an event calendar for sports which is green. I want to add another sporting event and to immediately show up on the calendars as green. This does not work I have to click on the sports event on the day and change the colour. Is there a way around this.

Question: My google calendar only shows colored dots on events. But not solid colored bars. How do I change that to solid color bars?
That's a great question Jannica! The solid colored bars mean the events are "all day" instead of a specific time frame. If you want the events to show as a bar, mark them as an all day event. Hopefully that helps!

Hi Yvette! Is the calendar one that you own/created or is it a calendar someone else created and shared with you? If it isn't one that you created, you may not have the proper edit access from the creator to share the calendar with others.
Would be nice to know how to get to the calendar.
You can just Google "Google Calendar" or type calendar.google.com in your internet browser. You can also download the app in your App Store!

You can adjust the playback speed of UA-cam videos if you need it to be slower for you!
