- Border communities in San Diego County, California, are experiencing an unusual surge in Chinese migrants crossing illegally into the U.S. Officials tell NewsNation the migration is fueled, in part, by Chinese social apps like WeChat guiding migrants on the journey from China to the U.S. Correspondent Ali Bradley joins "NewsNation Now" with the story, saying the Chinese migrants are mostly single adult men.

Asylum is a protection for those who are persecuted in their countries due to their religion, race, gender, etc. As far as I'm concerned, this doesn't occur in China nor Venezuela. Furthermore, if they were genuinely seeking "asylum," they would request it in the first safe country they entered. Instead, they cross through multiple countries to ask for "asylum" in the U.S.
Even though our country is controlled by liberals, they haven't been able to change asylum laws. As a result, these economic illegal immigrants are very unlikely to obtain "asylum" in the U.S. So, what will happen to these people? Will they stay permanently in this country illegally?

They are heavily persecuted, and few of them are able to escape. The few ones who succeed at escaping, seek asylum in the first safe country they encounter, which is usually South Korea.
If Nicolas Maduro is "persecuting" his people, then he is doing a terrible job, considering that over 7 million of his citizens have abandoned the country in the last five years or so. Venezuelans who are in the U.S., living in shelters, when they appear on TV, mention that they are escaping from poverty. They never mention experiencing persecution in their country.

Actually, Chinese people looking for 'asylum' should request it in Asia. Venezuelans should request asylum in Panama or Ecuador, while people from Guatemala should seek asylum in Mexico. Individuals are supposed to ask for 'asylum' in the first safe country they enter. It's laughable when they cross tons of countries to request asylum in the U.S.
