I like it when people add their thinking aloud to their play videos, not just the "he can have this or that" or also reasoning what your opponent's strategy is and why you do things because of this. Hearing if someone has a certain card cause x mana is open is a lot different than hearing; if he has this then he probably not use it this turn because of whatever and might try and do this next turn. This is why I like your videos, you learn how to think fluently and not straightforward.
This is the CGB decks we like to see, get away from the disgusting Winota or Lukka both of them with agent. Those suck, this on the orher hand... 👌🏽 exquistite
Watching this gameplay versus gameplay from this year. Insane difference. This is interactive. Current gameplay is turn 4 steal everything your opponent owns.
Completely unrelated to anything you're doing here, but I don't get to catch your streams a lot and I feel bad bothering people on Twitter and stuff, BUT have you ever considered live captions on Twitch streams for people who are hard of hearing and such? I recently learned it was a thing and I'm super pumped about it!
18:17 You sure can use Devout Decree to get rid of Gruul Spellbreaker, but NOT at instant speed, I might add. Do not forget Gruul Spellbreaker's last ability.
This was in my suggested videos for some reason.... is it bad that watching this makes me long for the double Teferi days compared to what we have now?
It's like a constructed event, max 10 wins or 2 loses, which ever comes first, top 128 move on to the next day, same thing there 10 w or 2 l, best move on.
I uploaded one video, I didn’t want to overload everyone with esper. I put updates on discord. I didn’t finish great, and did not make day two. Lost an esper mirror to mana screw and lost a game to nexus I should have won
@@Grenth00 you mill them out, while you keep bouncing your own teferi back into your own deck. It's how Esper obnoxiously won and was dominant before War of the Spark.
mhmm... just tried this deck in bo3 rankes. went 3-7 out of ten games. is it only me or is this deck meh due to practically no relevant winning condition besides big teferi. keep up the good work cgb. kudos!
This is a terrible match up to showcase. It looks like the opponent had bad draws. Nothing really to strong or any follow up to each move. You on the other hand had all the answers. Classic mtg luck
I respectfully disagree. Granted, the opponent did get some bad draws but also consider that his hand was also being consistently attacked because of 7 discard spells in his deck. And considering the luck part on CGB drawing his "answers" against the opponent board, the deck is pretty much geared toward that. It has a total of 20 spells that kill or bounce creatures so no duh he's gonna draw what he needed.
That is fairly inaccurate. The opponent had an opening Duress, and they drew double Veil of Autumn and double Cindervines which clearly are their sideboard choices for the matchup. They also had a steady supply of creatures which got dealt with because, well, that's what Esper does! The only time I think the opponent was out of luck was when they drew their Spawn of Mayhem but were unable to cast it for being screwed in black at 15:27. CGB's good luck? Sure. But I don't see that it was decisive in the match or even the game.
"Oh, it's... what on Earth am I playing against"
So what was your overall record in the tournament? Sad to see only one game :( gg though
Your play was perfect and really fun to watch!! Wish it was longer :D
Fantastic thumbnail, spicy hair as always, great gameplay... Iam disturbed by the lack of sarcasm though. Other than that 10/10 video.

heart of the cards, you can do this. defeat kaiba.
yes, yes... the good old 'hearth of the cards' cheat
I want more! Even though it's Esper control.. I still want more..
Only one game??? We demand more!!!

"Hello it's me, it's pro-CGB, here for another day in the arena"
Honestly such a wizard. Really great plays
Thanks for sharing this! I always miss stuff like this on twitch
Love the thumbnail CGB! You are my favorite content creator, keep up the amazing work!
Knights of legion, hit by Legion's end. How poetic
Periodically, when I am having a bad day, I will imagine cgbs face superimposed on teferis body. ~snickers~ still gets me
I hate esper, but this was some impressive thinking you have done. GG
Thanks for sharing some exclusive content, I've been wanting to learn more about pro leagues. Easy enough sounds like I just need to better lol xD
You make great content CGB, thanks so much!
Been watching you since you started your vids, even before you had cam video included. May fortune favor you!
i want more. Where are your other games? Woudl love to see those as well. Against what Decks did you play in the end?
That thumbnail is on point!
Always my favorite Arena player... keep up the good work!

That thumbnail tho

Did you upload your following matches? This game was excellent. As somebody else also said, you are my favorite MTG Creator! Keep up the good work :D
Well played, love your commentary!

Here's hoping the rest of your matches were that much fun!
OMgoodness... a cliffhanger ending. Excellently played match one anyway.
BRO!!! Where did you place?
Once again puts his face in the Thumbnail he is so famous now
If you were to play against a scapeshift deck, would you have boarded in Ashiok for his passive ability?
Holy hell that photoshop job is amazing 😂
Made me laugh so hard
would like to see the jeskai superfriends matchup and watch you slam an elderspell
Those are really good games man enjoyed watching them I really enjoy your break down of the game good job
You can always tell the older videos cause the intro is so much louder than the rest of the videos
Just came for the picture. Made me laugh
you should've cast down growth chamber guardian on end step so they dont get to search for another
Take ur like good sir, only because the thumbnail
Give us more of this content please!
Be overjoyed when Teferi rotates out... card makes me want to puke.
@Griffin Lathrop That's you're sorely misguided opinion pal
@Griffin Lathrop you must use it a lot to step up to it's defense...
Amazing thumbnail!
Could you really bounce that one in the end since it had hex proof ?
It's only hexproof on the opponents turn
Spellbreaker loses hexproof on opponent's turn
Ah well that explains it, yeah saw now that i lost its hexproof when it changed turns
nice play are those games once a day or how do they work?
It's like a constructed event, max 10 wins or 2 loses, which ever comes first, top 128 move on to the next day, same thing there 10 w or 2 l, best move on.
That thought erasure off the top at the end of the last game. Lol.
20 minutes in: You’re a good sport :-)
Can this deck be playable after rotation?
Some kind of esper will be, but not just like this, and the best card, Teferi Hero of Dominaria is leaving
@@covertgoblue Agree. I found some lands, what probably be good choice to play, but with Teferi, it's a trouble.
Moment of craving > Disfigure (refunds health when used by bolas citadel)
Just curious, how do you join a mythic championship qualifier?
Be top 1000 mythic at the end of a season (month)
@@covertgoblue That's it? Technically I got that a couple of months ago but I don't remember getting an invite.
Wait... Where is the rest!?

CGB is pretty scary when he gets serious...
Pretty much how every Cindervines game goes
Esper doing esper things. Good game though :)
the thumbnail is going to be my sleep paralysis demon
How can i play mythic championship? Im currently ranked #272 in mythic, no idea how to hustle myself to a tournament tho? Can anyone help me?
This is why I love esper
Goooooooo !
Dope photoshopping skillz! Hah
Thought it was a MONO BLACK MAGIC vid at first. 😉
Time to go big CGB
Cindervines isnt actually a very good anti control/combo card. Should do 2 damage.
2 mana, shock at every non creature card? :D
@@KiddyCut yeah
That was nice.
How do you win the game if you get your Basilicas killed?
Teferi Ultimate

Once you get up into the heady heights of mythic rank its all control decks. What's a golgari weirdo like me to do?
Gooo cgb!!
