Lol, I'll have to look for that moment at some point. Don't know what issue he could have had with it. We may have hindsight now, but during the bans a TON of people recognized Clover
Hey CGB! I'd like to suggest something. During intro, would it be possible to put your image at the left-botton of the screen? This way we can see the full sideboard list. Tks for the amazing content, always
28:24 you went for a Malee with the Fae while having a Bonecrusher giant exiled until end of turn which could double stomp the shark thanks to the clover. You could have picked another card with Granted, maybe the Shadowspear, while saving one more card in the adventure zone. You lost 3 cards in one shot, plus the land. Anyway CGB you re the best mtg streamer alive, not only for the gameplay but also for the sarcasm.
opponent had 2 mana open with the possible counterspell - melee first plays around the possibility. if you play the bonecrusher first, opponent could just counter it, which leaves the shark alive and you'd have to melee it anyway, losing the land. playing the melee first means, opponent has to counter the melee, in which case you can bonecrusher to kill it and not lose the land. of course if the opponent didn't have a counterspell, bonecrusher would make the most sense, but you never know what the opponent has.
@@wztan886 I knew about the two mana open, but losing all your cards in every possible scenario is not playing around something. Probably a dispute in the sideboard would have made the job. The power of this deck is not the adventure shell cause is the same for everyone, but the cards you decide to put in the sideboard.
I have been using an almost identicle list since the moment I saw the bans (Felt pretty vindicated to see the pro scene follow my instincts). Two Wishboard cards I have found surprisingly useful are Life Goes On and Pause For Reflection. The reason for both being that you often find yourself in situations against agressive decks where you will have to tap most of your mana to access the wishboard, and can't afford to find a sweaper or a shadowspear and cast it. In these situations these cards can be litteral lifesavers. Check out the loss against black devotion in game 2. If CGB had been able to cast Life Goes On for just 1 mana instead of relying on 3 mana for shadowspear he could have come back into that game. Similarly, convoking Pause For Reflection followed by Ugin or Storm's Wrath against decks like white lifegain, mono red, or mardu winota will usually change the game from a loss to a win on the spot.
If you're against aggro you just wanna play the fae without wishboarding, plus CGB hates life goes on haha, also Pause for Reflection is good but its only delaying the inevitable,
@@jershonlu1164 I am well aware that turn 2 fae is strong against aggro, but that's not always how it shakes out. And frequently it's not enough to save your life later on. But yeah, a valid point that 4 flying toughness for 2 mana is nothing to sneese at. As for Pause for Reflection I almost always have a plan when I wish for it. A perfect example comes to mind from last night; I was below 5 hp, had a Lovestruck beast and two of his tokens, a lucky clover, and 5 lands on board against a mardu winota which had at least 7 creatures buffed by a loxodon. They had cards in hand that very easily could include a winota. There was no way to survive their turn using what was in my hand and on board, and even if I could pull though with that all they would have to do is play anything interactive. But Pause for Reflection guaranteed I would survive to the next turn, and simultaniously wishing storm's wrath guaranteed I could clear their entire board when I did. After it played out exactly as I predicted the oponent conceded. Against mono white lifegain, I could do nothing but chump their increasingly out of control creatures through the mid game until I was at my breaking point. Nothing left on board except 7 land and a lucky clover. Played fae of wishes for pause for reflection and Ugin. Survived the 40 or so damage attack, played ugin, won the game on the spot. Delaying? Yes. The inevitable? Absoloutly not.
I know I've been playing it for months, and I can say from experience, the make or break moments are what you search for with Fae of Wished, and you can always change what you can run when different archetypes emerge in Standard.

I love the henge, but I find it to be too slow and situational to play in Standard. In my experience its a "win more" card that only does well in matchups that youd probably win anyway. I run it in my Goreclaw edh deck and it is a fantastic card for long games, but this meta doesnt allow enough time for big splashy spells, in my opinion, but do you want. LMFAO that red mage was the poster child for Net Deckers ...how do you Aether Gust your own creature... that is like shooting yourself in the foot when you are cleaning your gun😂
I have 2 escape to the wilds and a Storm's Wrath in the main. I run just 1 Uro so I have something to play later if needed. The Aether Gusts are so needed to! But with more Mono Black being played is it still good as a 2 of?
CGB can you play your Grixis deck in one of the next videos? Or give us the deck list please? I've built multiple versions of Grixis decks in the new meta but they always seemed too slow and got run over by all the aggro decks around. Your winrate of 73% looks promising even though the sample size is still small.
Now i could be totally wrong here, but what about domri instead of escape. Makes fae's value super good as a 2 drop (and nice little buff to all other creatures) could be used as a little ramp and an interaction spell with its minus ability (see fae again for value) it keeps the it keeps the integrity of the diverse mana cost the same as in escape and and domri both cost 1 G 1 R.. and another thing is, the innkeeper can, and normally does, have a dead weight cause because it can be interacted with basically anything. and carry's a target on its back because it COULD give great value. so maybe if the point you have innkeeper in there is for card draw, maybe i would just ACTUALLY run card draw. or if for some reason you are leaning towards just wanting an extra creature in the deck as a 1 drop, maybe id consider pelt collector? diversified power among creatures already in the deck would make make for a very powerful board state with any creature heavy hand. but it would lack card draw so maybe you run some in the board... like i said, could be totally wrong but if you like this deck then its just something to consider.
Seriously there are a few misplays, like not chump blocking all creatures a turn before the planned flame sweep; not waiting a creature to mutate before playing borrower (that particular mutate takes down 2 hp, that's it); not fetching Domri's Ambush in a few occasions as buff and removal; also if a bean giant is ready in the adventure zone it is common to wish a fling and an expansion, that would just suddenly end the game even if the opponent is full health; sometimes it is more beneficial to use escape into wilds instead to fishing back the fae of wishes, especially when having lots of lands; Finally I am not sure why it is that easy to surrender the extra cards drew from escape into wilds and leaving them unused after the next turn.

The deck is cheeky and slow. It is grindy like modern Jund (or Rackdos Sacrifice for Zoomers) but folds to removal like red. Boo. Enjoy your content tho man.
Adventure decks in bo1 probably need to be addressed. It feels like 95% of what I seem to face right now. Uro might have others fooled but I see it for what it is...just another adventure card. Who would have guessed that having every card in your deck be card advantage would be good?
Mystic repeal should be in the sideboard. Really hurts any enchantment, like anex, heliod, shark typhoon, and even ECD. Dragonfire is good too. The entire deck is the sideboard, dead weight there costs games.
I watched that parody video someone made of you recently (in incognito, I don't want to fuck up my youtube recommendations watching on my main account) and yeesh. I could only get through a couple minutes, and then I skipped halfway through the video and they were still going at it. I heard them saying you were arrogant and you made bad plays. For what it's worth, I do sometimes stop watching channels if the player makes too many obvious bad plays; I watch your channel regularly. Do you make misplays? Sure, anyone who plays a new deck every day is going to have some moments of inexperience, or hell, show me the player who can play 60 minutes of perfect magic while commentating and I'll show you a god amongst men. The arrogance part I honestly don't get at all, I mean you're regularly near the top of Mythic so you have to be a highly competent player, unless they're mistaking your sarcastic jabs against monored players as genuine put-downs...? Idk, but I'd put you up there with people like LVD and Reid Duke as some of the most down-to-earth Magic players around. So in short, keep pluckin that chicken, and may the nonsense never end!
I really think you're playing wayyyy too many shock lands for a deck that doesn't start to kick until turn 5-6 without a clover. You lost so many games by being one turn too late with your answers. Also, don't be afraid to mulligan to look for your value engine. Drop some scry lands in there too so you can dig a little deeper. Just my two cents. Thanks for another great video as always CGB.

I know you have to rep decks like this because you have to rep the meta and you played the deck pretty well.
However, I would rather watch paint dry than watch someone play Temur Adventures. The deck is cheeky and slow. It is grindy like modern Jund (or Rackdos Sacrifice for Zoomers) but folds to removal like red. Boo.
Enjoy your content tho man.
Didn't know there were people who literally play 100% monored
Adventure decks in bo1 probably need to be addressed. It feels like 95% of what I seem to face right now. Uro might have others fooled but I see it for what it is...just another adventure card. Who would have guessed that having every card in your deck be card advantage would be good?
Don't rope me bro.
Baby don't rope me, don't rope me, no more...
Last time I was this early, Ixalan was still legal in standard
Damn
at ua-cam.com/video/lKe2Efckha4/v-deo.html, the escape for some reason turned into 3 mana
CKC!
You are cool.
I love CGB’s snark against mono red
He makes great content and I’ve learned many interactions through his videos
Don’t let the hate get to you CGB!
What a sore looser that mono red player was
+1
I think you have not played correctly this time. Good video anyway ;)
Dammit I was at work so I missed first
Next time
Red mage doesnt know how to gust XD
Report the toxic mono red noob player NOW
You got a little video un your add
Lucky clover is broken and shouldn't exist
When it printed I was like "this thing really shouldn't cost 2 mana"
Day 42/750 of asking CGB to play a deck around Dream Trawler Magic Mirror and the new Teferi Draw more enchantment.
@@josephzuniga8521 You must be new here.
I am not new but my message was rude, so I deleted it.
CGB is an excellent player, congrats for real.
Am here today.
Eww, Temur. At least this is not sultai. So like.
lucky clover... the fires of invention of adventure decks. really stupid card on the level of witches oven
Boring deck because it's everywhere
i have always loved adventures decks. I'm thrilled they're strong again.
It's still shows that it's strong, so it's good content.
@@centrist3684 maybe
This deck is awesome, just played it tonight at FNM and it was challenging to play. Really have play chess with the deck
First
no one cares
stfu
Jake and Sam dont care, so they take time to comment that they dont care. Sorry it bothered you so much 😂
ok vEgArD
this video was posted 5 months ago... so annoying adventures back again
escape to the wilds is just not a good card^^
What would you play instead?
this deck is slow and boring like hyper cancer, in some matches you fetched all your lands and tutored a good part of your sideboard before winning. Fae of wishes should be banned, it's much more op than growth spiral
Temur Adventures will be bad again, its just a cheesy deck
Lucky clover is a stupid card
Hey CGB! I'd like to suggest something. During intro, would it be possible to put your image at the left-botton of the screen? This way we can se the full sideboard list. Tks for the amazing content, always
Then you can't see the whole deck. I think top middle might be better, no?
Twitch tho
I think he just needs to set up a scene for when he's looking at the deck, that moves the camera somewhere.
