    My favorite channel! You got me hooked on running two amps. I run wet/dry with my BJr wet/PJr dry. It sounds sooo good! Easy to transport and I always have a back up if one of the amps ever have an issue.

    I threw my Pro Jr into a Deluxe cabinet and tried ton of speakers in it (Wizard, Swamp Thang, 1258, P12Q, P10R, 70/80), but settled on the P12R. I have a P10R in a 65 Princeton Reverb Reissue, and run them together. They sound awesome paired! They really do sound bigger than even running a 2x15 cabinet or a 4x10.

    I have a Vox AC10 and an Excelsior... very huge together. AC10 is very dynamic with its 10 inches speaker. Exy is very articulated. Great combinaison with english and american sound !!

    Budda we always love your show. Sounds great. I've been thinking about a fender 2 by 10 13 watt vaporizer mixed with the excelsior

    I know I'm here late but I got a new old stock excelsior pro, in blush tolex.... I run mine in stereo with a Peavey delta blues 30 also with a 1 15.... So grimy, so creamy, so good....

    Nice video Budda. I was getting ready to sell my Excelsior but now I think I may keep it longer. I did do a speaker swap , I put in a Legend 1518 and had a tone knob installed where the tone switch was. It is heavier by a mile but man does that thing bark! I have been combining my Princeton with an Vox AC15 and they sound great together but I may try the Princeton and the Excelsior as a pair.
    You are right, low power combos are the way to go. To me they sound better without killing any birds that happen to be flying overhead.
    Thanks for posting this video. Peace.

    Very cool.
    I've an old Fender Twin Reverb I run with my 50W Plexi w/2x12 Cab. I'm basically using the Twin Reverb much like an effects loop running my time based effect as well as taking advantage of the Twin's great reverb. Thankfully I don't play out as this rig is too much trouble to drag around.
    BTW, I've an Excelsior I installed a new speaker in and must say its a great amp on its own.
    Great video Budda, the amps you've paired up sound great.

    Inspired again, thanks Budda! I am going to try running my twin reverb tone master (which has 212 speakers) in stereo with an old Peavey Transchorus ( Which has 210 speakers.Kind of a Jazz Chorus 120 copy) . I really want to try the Tremolo trick that you demonstrated. I presume that separating the amps to the very left and right of the room would also be beneficial(?)I also have a TC Electronic Mimiq which I will split the signal from into stereo and gives you that double tracking effect which works so well. I get inspired to try all these things with each video. Great work!

    Hey Budda been wanting to ask you about tremolo and volume level since your videos back in December.
    Like you I have the tremolo in my amp. Big mistake I don't have a tremolo pedal. Lol. I'm working on fixing that.
    Anyway. The tremolo, being volume modulation, lowers the overall perceived volume of that amp compared to the other without tremolo.
    So my question is how do your leverage this in your playing? Do you raise the volume to compensate or do you keep it as a more subtle tremolo mix?
    BTW I'll add I'm using two modeling amps switching between combinations of tweed, twin and ac30

    • @BuddaGuedes
      @BuddaGuedes  3 роки тому

      I don’t feel that problem at all! When are used to amps I set the tremolo to the max

    • @Saurondor
      @Saurondor 3 роки тому

      @@BuddaGuedes interesting. This makes me wonder if tremolos work differently from one another. A tremolo could work by lowering the volume from the baseline only. For example at volume 6 go from volume level 6, 4, 6, 4 etc, you get the idea. Or boost and lower relative to the baseline, for example 7, 5, 7, 5 etc. In both cases there's a 2 point volume difference, but in the later the increase from 6 to 7 compensates the drop from 6 to 5. Keeping the overall output the same. That is an average volume of 6. Whereas the former (6,4,6,4...) has an average volume of 5.

    • @BuddaGuedes
      @BuddaGuedes  3 роки тому

      I don’t think that’s how it works but you might be right. I usually use tremolo on quiet parts so I’m not having troubles with volume!!

    I started out originally with substandard amp-shaped-objects that individually sounded quite a bit worse than horrible, but after I got the second Lehle P-Split the three started to almost simulate some tone. It is an interesting phenomenon. I just ordered a couple more Little Labs IBPs, and need to get another panning tremolo for the warbly wing of the array, and I will bring it up from six to eight channels running. That's the town rig, there's another couple channels out on the farm but they are hazardous in close proximity so I put an EP-103 on one of the main channels. I am trying to shrink it all down so it is portable as if it were for live shows, just to make it look less inane. It does simulate tone. 🤘

      @@BuddaGuedes Well, thanks to your video, I went out and picked up a Super Champ X2 to pair with my Excelsior Pro. I used to play in stereo before and missed it. I use a Digitech RP360 to run these amps in stereo, it works quite well for my needs. Now I just need to find out why the Excelsior is humming louder now, it's noticeably louder now. Anyways, cheers!

      You’re having a ground loop. You will need some device to do a ground lift.

      I’m using the line 6 M9’s left and right outputs to go to each amp
