SuperCarlinBrothers... I love this video and I commented before you (Ben) even did! #notificationsquad🙂 I still love you guys☺ I found the "easter eggs" BABY DORY
The pronunciation of Cantinflas is almost right, except the emphasis is on the second syllable (Kahn-TEEN-flass). Xoloitzcuintli is show-low-ess-QUEEN-clay. A few of the Easter eggs mentioned in this video: Pizza Planet truck - passes by Miguel's house in the beginning of the movie. A 113 - the number of an office in the land of the dead. Luxo ball - in a luchador mask sold in a luchador mask stand in the world of the living. Alebrijes - they play a pretty important role, but other than the Nemo one I don't recall seeing any that looked like other Pixar characters. However, there are Woody, Buzz, and Mike Wazowski piñatas, and a boy wearing Cars shoes. Mexican celebrities - Frida has a passing role but it's very amusing, especially if you know how she always painted herself. Pedro Infante and Jorge Negrete are friends of Ernesto de la Cruz. Cantinflas, along with some other Mexican celebrities (El Santo, Emiliano Zapata, María Félix, Dolores del Río), are also his friends and show up with him, but aren't namedropped. Oh, and the skeleton Miguel bumps into in the cemetery looks like La Catrina, a drawing by José Guadalupe Posada.
So, I am from Mexico and the movie was already released last week, just in time for dia de los muertos. Everyday since I have come to this channel to see the video about the movie, and when one week passed and there was no video I was very angry. Yesterday I found out that the world release is the 22 of November so all I can say is: bring your tissues you are in for a rollercoaster of emotions
In Australia the release date is the 26th of December. I cannot wait to see Coco and I'm happy to hear that it's a tearjerker (I love emotional movies!)
Jumeaux Elaine it is sooooo good, I cried sooo much, my face was swollen the next day, I was hyperventilating at the end of the movie and I couldn't stand, I am guessing I cried so much because there is a character that reminded me of my desease grandfather. Also my culture is so well represented (which doesn't happens regularly) everything is so pretty, the alebrijes are amazing and the colors are just perfect
Vaskis 2004 I actually haven't seen any spoilers, which I thought was gona happen, I have seen a lot of memes about how much you cry during the movie but no spoilers (obviously only in mexico) so maybe if you try really hard you can avoid spoilers
I thought it was going to be forced, but it was amazing! it's def up there in my top Pixar Movies and I can see kids in the future saying it was their favorite Pixar movie with which they grew up with
Wait... weeks? It came out in Mexico like a week ago. And I have literally NEVER seen so many people waiting in line at the movie theatre. Normally it's just like 5 families in front of you. But I swear to god the line was like a block long. And I'm not even exaggerating! But the movie... the most beautiful thing I've ever seen...😍❤️
Also, it came out there first because the days for celebration are Oct 31st- Nov 2nd. Any later I don't think it would flop but it's like getting a new Xmas movie in January. People celebrate in the US too but not to that extent.
Cristina Orcí Fernández yo ya la ví y de verdad es algo maravilloso :D Ya tiene más de una semana de que salió y los cines siguen llenos! Hasta en las noches! No he escuchado ni un mal comentario de la película. A pesar de eso, no sé cómo va a ser recibido por EUA y el resto del mundo ya que no conocen Día de Muertos :/ Hopefully it does well overseas, we just have to wait and see.
Here in Mexico Coco came out almost a month early It's amazing! Many people in Mexico loved it! It was very well received by everyone! You should all go see it! And it's very very true that there are many Mexican celebrities!
SPOILER EASTER EGGS . . . . Mostly of the skeletons are mexican character references, the luxo ball is a luchador mask, you can see Buzz and Woody, A113 is a office (not telling which one), the pizza planet truck passes through Miguel's house playing music, you can see Pepita as a Alebrije also there's another alebrije who's very important, also you can see Frida Khalo she plays an important part, Negrete, Cantinflas and Pedro Infante are friends of Ernesto de la Cruz
The Messenger Xolos were considered sacred dogs by the Aztecs, Toltecs, Maya, and other groups. They were also useful companion animals. According to Aztec mythology, the god Xolotlmade the Xoloitzcuintli from a sliver of the Bone of Life from which all mankind was made. Xolotl gave this gift to Man with the instruction to guard it with his life and in exchange it would guide Man through the dangers of Mictlan, the world of Death, toward the Evening Star in the Heavens.
Woody, buzz and mike as piñatas. The Pixar ball on a luchador mask on Dante short. Pizza planet truck at the beggining and there are so many skeletons that it is difficult to recognize... frida kahlo is in there haha
Oh my god, I just saw the movie (I live in Mexico) and OH MY GOD, it's amazing. But you have to listen to the soundtrack in spanish afterwards. Anyway, it's a beautiful movie. Also, yes, you will cry.
“I know that even if the characters are already dead, you’re still gonna make them... die” Yeahp. This is how much we mistrust Pixar with our emotions, but we love them anyway. 😂
My greatest fear about this movie is that internet fangirls Who didn’t even bother to watch the movie are going to be all like, “OMG, is that Sans?” Throughout the entire movie.
Don't worry I've already seen the movie (Im Mexican) and there aren't any skeletons that could resemble Sans or Papyrus from Undertale, since they are more based on the representation of the Catrina there aren't many "chubby" skeletons just short ones.
I saw Coco in Mexico. It was awesome, emotional and funny. It was a bit predictable but the animation makes up for it. It ranks high among Pixar’s list
It has already premiered here in Mexico, and it is so beautiful!!! I cried a lot and there is a huge plot twist at the end!!! And plus so much culture and tradition represented in the movie!
I already saw it (it hit theaters like a week ago here in Mexico) and yes... You will cry. Also I didn't saw any Incredibles 2 easter egg but early in the film you can spot a bunch of Woody and Buzz piñatas c:
Okay guys, im mexican, so im going to tell some thing, spoiler free, but if you want to find them for youself, don't press read more The luxo ball and the a113 is in a mask and in a door Dead mexican celebrities appear a lot (Cantinflas, El Santo, Maria Felix, and others) I couldn't spot any disney dead characters, but maybe there are some The guitar is obiously there, and other things are really amazing to the eye As i saw it on spanish, it is really difficult to see the translation
Damian :v Según yo es el señor en la oficina que les explica lo de la bendición; tiene la misma voz que varios personajes de pixar en español, supongo que respetan eso al momento traducirla (en español para no spoilear a los demás jaja)
I love how he apologizes for his pronunciation after saying Pedro Infante and Jorge Negrete, but he actually said them relatively well. Cantinflas was the one that made me choke on my drink and on the floor laughing. Putting the emphasis on the first a instead of the i makes it hilarious, I can't even. XD
Well, you're definitely gonna LOVE it ❤️❤️❤️I have literally NEVER seen the line so long at the movie theatre. It was a block long! I bet this movie is going to take Frozen's place, just with how many Mexicans have seen it this past week. ❤️
It feels good to live in Mexico. Already saw the movie and I LOVED IT!! and yeah, bring your own tissues because it's gonna get sad. Very sad. To give you an idea, I didn't cry with any Pixar movie, not even Up! But I sobbed uncontrollably with Coco. Good f*cking luck yall! Also, the movie is loaded with colorful details in the backgrounds so it would take a lot of re-watching to pick up every Easter egg. Looking forward to your opinion and theories, guys!
Well as a Mexican who already saw the movie (and loved it) I quickly found the Pizza Planet truck, honestly the movie is super colorful so there could be a lot references, there is a boxing reference, I honestly didn't find any death characters who are part of Pixar, alebrijes are important so there could be tons of references. The voiceover though, I wouldn't know because it was in spanish (sorry) (btw we have harder words in the indigenous parts of Mexico) there are way too many popular celebrities, I didn't see Cantinflas but I did see Jorge Negrete, Pedro Infante and Frida Kahlo.
Cantinflas is in the shot where Ernesto is showing off Miguel, they're singing next to a piano. There's Cantinflas, both Jorge Negrete and Pedro Infante, Marías Félix, el Santo, Dolores del Río and som say Agustín Lara but I didn't quite catch him.
By the way just looking at the thumbnail for the video you can find A113 on the bone. Please everyone like the video so Jonathan or Ben can find this comment.
This movie will make you cry your freaking eyes out. I'm mexican and it was one of the most beautiful experiences I've ever had, it depicts everything I love about my culture and Día de Muertos so perfectly, I can't, this movie is perfection.
This movie exploded in Mexico, and as a mexican myself, I actually really didn't expect to like it so much. I cried like three times. Coco is quality af, prepare the napkins, Carlin brothers.
Have you watched Elena Of Avalor. Its a show on Disney Jr staring Disney's first Latina princess. I think there may be an Easter Egg or a reference to that show in Coco as well. Great video!!!
waiiiiitt what potentially something lgbtq related in a major big screen disney movie? whoooooooooaaa WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE♥ Now I'm wondering how many SCB fans are of the LGBTQ community :O ♥♥♥
I live in Mexico and had to watch Coco more than one time to look for easter eggs because I was crying the whole time. It’s beautiful. Olaf’s Frozen Adventure is also amazing, it’s longer than any other Pixar’s Short film, but I really enjoyed it. Anyone who says otherwise has some kid in their lives that ruined Frozen for them. So, it’s not the short film’s fault.
Disney Skeleton characters? Why not have a Jack Skellington cameo? Yes he is a Disney character. He would have to be to have appeared in Kingdom Hearts right?
The Nightmare Before Christmas was released by Touchstone, which is a studio owned by Disney to produce movies that aren’t family friendly enough to be released under the Disney banner. I’d say Jack is a Disney Character, very popular in Disney Parks.
me & my husband saw Coco last night. we were the only childless adults in the theatre & we could NOT help but get excited when we saw an easter egg & literally no one around knew what was going on. it was amazing lol
It's funny how I already saw the movie like 3 times and the rest of the world it's still waiting for it to be released in their countries muahahah VIVA MEXICO
Eugenia Marin I'm so jealous. I live in the border in the United States side and people have already watch it and I have to wait for i can go see it the day after Thanksgiving here 😣 can't wait😁😆
Giselle Lopez Nop I live in Mérida, Yucatán and it was released October 27th as the rest of the republic. But by now it was already released in USA, November 22d.
I live in Mexico.. and since this movie was a tribute to the country and its many cultures.. it came out 2 weeks ago for "Día de los Muertos" or day of the dead.. it is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen and it's so visually stunning.. a lot of the Easter eggs you mentioned are in the movie or in the short. I particularly loved the alebrijes, which are spirits who guide the dead on to the land of the dead when they pass away. I was raised on a lot of what this movie hits and I am so happy that this movie exists
As a Mexican I love how you pronounce every name 😂😂 also the fact that you really investigated about my country and our icons is awesome. Really good video!
I remember in Spanish class in highschool, we learned a little about artists from Mexico, and I remember that the reason many of her paintings had animals in them was that she was in some kind of... trolley accident, I think it was...? where she was injured in her abdomen and was not able to bear children afterwards. They became like her children.
Did you FIND the Easter Egg in this video? ;-)
SuperCarlinBrothers
Nope.
SuperCarlinBrothers... I love this video and I commented before you (Ben) even did! #notificationsquad🙂 I still love you guys☺

I was gonna say top 3, but i thought that would have started a war haha

Square Squid Studios It even has eyes. It may be sentient.
Square Squid Studios what?
GMaster6400 It's a joke about the baby Dory on his shoulder.
dory also was beside him
I believe it’s called a Dory. It causes short-term memory loss
Basically this whole movie is a Mexican Easter egg. It was one of the most culturally accurate American made movies about Mexico ever.
I would say hands down THE most accurate.
Dory moved at 1:30 4:15 4:25 4:32 4:41 4:58 5:24 5:36 5:45 6:03 7:32 7:47 7:50 7:53 8:26 and 8:45 soooo she moved 16 times
Also at 10:36
Can confirm as a Mexican who already saw the movie, Pixar can make dead characters “die”
I'm from Mexico and I watched last week, it was amazing
I thought it was going to be forced, but it was amazing! it's def up there in my top Pixar Movies and I can see kids in the future saying it was their favorite Pixar movie with which they grew up with

BananaWaffles I know right! I also saw it in Mexico. The line was a block long. But it was worth it. ❤️
Cristina Orcí Fernández I got pretty lucky because there wasn't much people in the room, we all teared up, it was great.

Maybe Jack Skellington might make his way into this movie 😉😊👍
Is Dory in your Sweater an Easter egg🤔
Wait... weeks? It came out in Mexico like a week ago. And I have literally NEVER seen so many people waiting in line at the movie theatre. Normally it's just like 5 families in front of you. Cristina Orcí Fernández it came out here first because Pixar decided it would be cool if the culture the movie was based on got to watch it first
Also, it came out there first because the days for celebration are Oct 31st- Nov 2nd. Any later I don't think it would flop but it's like getting a new Xmas movie in January. People celebrate in the US too but not to that extent.
Ikr! Every movie theater is completely full

Doggo is part of Mayan/Aztec? culture which was believed to be a descendent of a god
The Messenger it is mexica(Aztec)

Eduardo Martínez that's what I thought of when he say look for characters I thought of Woody!

My greatest fear about this movie is that internet fangirls Who didn’t even bother to watch the movie are going to be all like, “OMG, is that Sans?” Throughout the entire movie.
You have a point there.
And then they'll fangirl to the point everyone has to try their best to ignore them.
Don't worry I've already seen the movie (Im Mexican) and there aren't any skeletons that could resemble Sans or Papyrus from Undertale, since they are more based on the representation of the Catrina there aren't many "chubby" skeletons just short ones.

Looking forward to your opinion and theories, guys!
my mom raised me on Frida's art and it is wild to see her so wildly accepted. Great video as always guys!!
OMG Dory is a creepy mother flipper (sorry not sorry)
7:39 A love letter to Mexico? Let’s hope Pixar doesn’t have to fight with the government over this movie...
Cantinflas was at the De La Cruz party, on a private room
Tambien estaba Maria Felix y el santo
Entonces todos estaban y no los vi jajaj
Then everyone was there and I didn't see them hahah
Dory moving around is funny I cracked up when she appeared in his hoodie
"I know you Pixar, I know that even if the characters are already dead, you're still gonna make them... die" oh boy aren't you right
The pig in the background
Euan Mc Feely adorable right
It’s púa from Moana
Also the dory plush will appear in different spots throughout the video
Euan Mc Feely You mean Pua? AKA the one that should have traveled with Moana. However, Hei-Hei did help out some.
Euan Mc Feely and the chicken and the luxo ball💙💙💙🦅
By the way just looking at the thumbnail for the video you can find A113 on the bone.
Please everyone like the video so Jonathan or Ben can find this comment.

Have you watched Elena Of Avalor. Its a show on Disney Jr staring Disney's first Latina princess. I think there may be an Easter Egg or a reference to that show in Coco as well. Great video!!!
Gwen Couv I'm pretty sure there's a reference to Coco in Elena of Avalor
Guest that makes sense also
If you remember the flying tiger things the monster from Coco look alot alike.
Guest You mean Jaquins? I thought that too!
Ye
BECAUSE I’M BATMAN
As a musician I am really excited that they will be accurate with how the instruments are played. This is still extremely rare even in live action
Loved the movement of Baby Dory in the background. ;)
waiiiiitt what potentially something lgbtq related in a major big screen disney movie? whoooooooooaaa WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE♥
Now I'm wondering how many SCB fans are of the LGBTQ community :O ♥♥♥
Cantinflas....... lol
Emilio Anzaldo lol he said it bad
Did anyone else besides me catch the Olaf Easter egg in Moana?
Kate Nugent... There was also a Bamax (sorry if I spelled that wrong)
Gene Pettiford *Baymax
Ignatius Ultimus... Oh thanks🤓
I think J talked about that in an earlier video... idk I'm probably just tripping
Yeah
Lmao dory “swimming around “ though was entertaining af.

(We will be looking)
Disney Skeleton characters? Why not have a Jack Skellington cameo?
Yes he is a Disney character. He would have to be to have appeared in Kingdom Hearts right?
Penta Deuce Disney got the rights to him so yes he is sort of and character good point!
Penta Deuce Disney and Pixar are not the same
Despite working with Disney, Pixar only makes references to their own movies.
The Nightmare Before Christmas was released by Touchstone, which is a studio owned by Disney to produce movies that aren’t family friendly enough to be released under the Disney banner. I’d say Jack is a Disney Character, very popular in Disney Parks.
Penta Deuce there is no Pixar skeletons in the movie
Its kind of weird that I watched it already o.O As a mexican Im not used to having movies before everyone lol will pay more attention next time ;)
Little Dream is it good !?
L W it’s wonderful
Take tissues and your grandma to see it
I'm from Mexico and already saw Coco, all I can say is that it's AMAZING and you will cry like a baby ❤️❤️
me & my husband saw Coco last night. we were the only childless adults in the theatre & we could NOT help but get excited when we saw an easter
egg & literally no one around knew what was going on. it was amazing lol
10:09 who else recognized "yo yo" or elena from agents of shield?!
As of today!! That's so cool!
I'm not jealous!
If I'm not mistaken it was also released in Guatemala
Giselle Lopez Nop I live in Mérida, Yucatán and it was released October 27th as the rest of the republic. But by now it was already released in USA, November 22d.
SPOILER ALERT IF YOU ARE GOING TO WATCH COCO: TAKE TISSUES WITH YOU
I live in Mexico.. and since this movie was a tribute to the country and its many cultures.. it came out 2 weeks ago for "Día de los Muertos" or day of the dead.. it is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen and it's so visually stunning.. a lot of the Easter eggs you mentioned are in the movie or in the short. I particularly loved the alebrijes, which are spirits who guide the dead on to the land of the dead when they pass away. I was raised on a lot of what this movie hits and I am so happy that this movie exists
Ahhh! Can't wait to see how Coco fits into the Pixar Theory! I wonder how it fits in with this whole apocalypse thing!
im mexican and it apeared on theaters a week ago

Natalia Mizrahi it’s only out in mexico
Although it’s not Pixar I really hope jack skellington shows up somehow

I remember in Spanish class in highschool, we learned a little about artists from Mexico, and I remember that the reason many of her paintings had animals in them was that she was in some kind of... trolley accident, I think it was...? where she was injured in her abdomen and was not able to bear children afterwards. They became like her children.
This made me 10000 times more excited to watch Coco!!! I’m so excited!!!!
