- I can't believe that I kept mispronouncing Dave's surname... oh my gosh! I sincerely apologise.
Fortunately that did not take anything away from how he sang this cleverly choses song, his obvious heart connection to it, or his lovely personality and demeanour. I really like Dave.
In terms of his singing in this audition, there were some good things, in my opinion, but also some things that I believe he will really have to work on going forward. I am not sure that he has enough skill to successfully navigate Hollywood week, but am happy to be proven wrong! Nice voice, great instincts - just needs to develop some more skill.

A piece of advice - never it is a good idea to rebut the viewers' comments in the video because it just does not look good :) You can't make everyone happy so creating UA-cam contents requires kind of thick skin and focusing on the positives rather than the negatives :) You are not the only one who uses piano while recording your reaction videos to find the key the singer is singing in, to assess the range (e.g. while they are doing some runs), etc. If someone is complaining about this then this means that this person has no clue what the videos are all about and there is no way to persuade them that this makes sense. I really appreciate your reactions because they are indeed of very high quality and merit and this is why U subscribed some time ago. So, keep on doing this very good job and forget the haters 🙂😎👍

Im still hoping a professional vocal coach like yourself will react to Jennifer Jeffries American Idol audition because her voice is so unusual. I understand not everyone will personally like her voice. My curiosity is… is her voice sustainable over the competition? And what advice would be good for her to preserve her vocal cords etc… she reminds me of the female version of Joe Cocker.

I found out that any comment counts according to the algorithm even an answer wow UA-cam actually keeps track and every 100 comments they actually push the channel out to 300 people that haven't been to it before so I figured I would share this before I just leave algorithm comment with no explaining
