I enjoyed your comments. I have enjoyed this season more than any in recent years. Abi has been my favorite since the beginning and I have been so impressed with her versatility and skill tackling the songs that are way out of her comfort zone.
I love what Abi is starting to do now, using her whole body on stage instead of just singing into a mic. As you say, this has been a great learning/training ground for her regardless of who 'wins' the show. As to that, the final three represent totally different genres and audiences. It will come down to who draws the biggest crowd, not necessarily who's the bigger talent.
she's amazing. it's not quite often that someone starts the show with an incredible audition and it's able to keep the momentum up all season long but somehow she did it. she kept improving and showing new sides of herself all throughout the live shows. such a dynamic vocalist! i hope she wins.
:We hear what we see"...CONFIDENCE!!! From her moves, to the fall of mic, to the vocals as she performs. yes, Out of the park From the first to the finish...touchdown!!! Best of luck Abi. I had no doubt. BUT,,, you NEVER know. Each so beautifully gifted. That said, no one performs a cover so brilliantly and finishes with such class. Trophy.🌠🎶🎤💥
Loved this performance! Abi is amazing! Her voice was incredibly beautiful, right from the start. But her growth as a performer has been a sight to behold! I do think she can win, and she has my vote!
One must understand that just because it is a contest does not mean that you have to win to be the best. It is your or should be your goal to learn and get experience from all around Pro's which enable a person to become a world class performer able to perform in different environments!
Abi is definitely my choice for the winner. Your analysis is spot on. Have you ever done an analysis of Inger Lise Hope? I would be interested in your opinion.
I am going to tell you she has potential to be one of the greatest Rock Stars (singers, performers) around. I won't say but I believe she is better then some that are on the circuit NOW!
I hope she keeps making great choices, and surrounds herself with the right people. Add to that 'keeping it all together' as a person, and I agree that she could go big 🎉🎉🎉
@@JohanBesterYourVocalCoach Abi has what it takes to keep it together. She had a great upbringing and has a great support group (her friends and family). She is intensely devoted to justice, mature beyond her years (due to homeschooling and her birth order in a large family), and, being active in sports as a participant (soccer gymnastics) and a spectator (football, water polo, volleyball) with all her many siblings, she has the resiliency to take the blows, the determination to do the hard work, and the mindset to handle the ups and downs of winning and defeat. (She will be smiling graciously and sincerely, whether or not she wins Idol.) She also has witnessed how bad behavior and bad choices can ruin lives. She is as intensely private as she is public -- a very self-directed and self-motivated person. If anybody can do it, Abi can! She is NOT a product of her parents or their ambitions for her, but has done this (with help) literally all on her own. She is truly simply manifesting who she is. If anybody can stay good and true to themselves in Hollywood, I think Abi can. I literally think she is an angel, certainly a mighty spirit, come down from heaven.
In a large, open venue like this, she doesn't bring forth the all encompassing, depth of power of an Adele, which is what is needed when performing in a place like this. You also have to resonate with strong, low register ability that can make the building shake, so to speak, which I don't hear from her. In my opinion, she has a squeaky-ness sound to her vocals that just don't bring forth a kind of a 'surround' sound'.
I think her lower register will keep growing in depth and resonance as she gets older and keeps developing her technique. Thanks for letting us know your thoughts!
That's a fair observation. It's not just about hitting the notes. Whitney Houston's voice had that ineffable quality of resonance that fills a hall! Abi has a more delicate timber to her voice. She'll find her niche and it will be excellent!
As I've shared with others elsewhere, Abi couldn't sing well at all when she was younger. She croaked like a frog! But, my! That frog had amazing vocal control! (And her linguistic skills were off the charts! She was nearly adult-like fluent at the age of three.) I think I may have crushed her dreams a little when I said "Abi, you have a broken instrument, but you play it beautifully!" (I think she set out to prove me wrong!) I don't think it would be fair to say that Abi's "instrument" is broken anymore!
What a marvelous mentor you are! It's a pleasure to watch your analysis of Abi's performances. For her physicality, stagecraft and professionalism, this was my favorite performance. (As a song choice, it was among my least favorite.) Maybe if I understood the song, but I can't make out HALF the word she sings! She needs to e-nun-ci-ate! (Can we get her a training session with Julie Andrews, perhaps?) Overall, I am AMAZED how much she has grown on Idol. She has taken it to a whole new level! I truly think Abi can be and do ANYTHING she wants to. I truly think she deserves it and I think she would be the best both for American Idol and for Disney.
Singing competitions like Idol went through a bit of a dry patch recently but now there is Abi, and what a talent she is!😮
Now there's Abi! Thanks for your comment 🤗

Agreed! Thanks again for your comment 😊
I think Abi has been doing more experimenting than the other contestants. Been loving her powerful voice and beautiful performances more as well.
Well said!

i agree. i like the quieter parts of the voice but anything with more volume does get really squeaky in my opinion
