Something I don’t like about this video is it does not show the good side of Ned Kelly and just paints him as any outlaw
Well he was kind of an idiot. He wore 97 pounds of armor but never thought he might be shot in his unarmored legs?
Zac M that would be very heavy and you have to collect lot more metal and mobility would be less
@@zacm9747 As opposed to every other criminal who just wore a cotton shirt?
What is the good side you think they're missing? There is very little recorded of Kelly from his own point of view and a great deal of mythology that arose from poor small land holders who wanted to imbue him and his gang with the virtues they wished to project.
That said, one of the best myths about Kelly is by Peter Carey: 'The True History of the Kelly Gang'. Superb read!

Wait, what!!? This story is very accurate but you missed a lot of important stuff, like how Ned Kelley treated his hostages with respect and stuff.
Yeah this one should have been longer. An interesting person like Ned Kelley deserves more than 5 minutes
and how he got a green scarf by rescuing a drowning boy
Anthony, ACCURATE? It is fiction throughout. Nothing presented here is true.
@@samsabastian5560 i mean somethings are true, like he did derail a train, he did act like robin hood, infact he was always referred as the australian robin hood
Anthony, you claim Ned Kelly treated hostages with respect. So according to you, it is acceptable to hold people at gunpoint threatening them with death is they dared to disobey him. Ned Kelly ROBBED all the hostages he held, often taking all their money jewellery including wedding rings etc. Sadly you think that because you show some politeness to the people you are holding at gunpoint is acceptable. No, he said it after being found guilty in court...
Well it might as well have been his last words, seems more dramatic
Lemo n
Haha fair enough ;)
It was actually the whole sentence. It's come to this. Such is life
“Ah well, I suppose it’s come to this” what a legend
What? No mention of how he saved a young boy from drowning when he was 11, and was given a green sash in thanks by the boys family, which he wore throughout his life and during his final shootout? That's one of my favourite things he did, along with getting a detailed letter delivered detailing his innocence, local police corruption and how poorer families require more local support - all while in the process of robbing a bank.
bigmeknurgle Then please explain how come the Royal Commission into Victoria police of 1881 found there was NO corruption and that the police treated Kelly properly?
Your comment is so far from the truth it's laughable.
@@samsabastian5560 the government hated Kelly, of course they would side with the police, the police there were friends of the rich who Kelly stole from after they forced his family to live off the worst land possible and tried to take it anyway

Dude! He became a bushranger due to poverty, that stolen horse was given by a family member who stole it and had no idea bout it. There are some things you missed.
You should check extra history's version.....
Its called Simple History
MehNooddLeZ We had talking about another youtuber
Ary Hollifield he’s saying it’s Simple History so you won’t get every detail.
Need Kelly is a hero in my book a man for the people and not the rich or the government scum that's why I hate liberals today there so stupid to depend on the government when the government can overthrown us. This proves that the people have more power than the government and should take responsibility in there own hands when the pigs come

3:17 me in Red dead 2 when the police try to shoot me.
So you are crippled now,?
Do the story of Ben L. Salomon please! He was a U.S. military surgeon on the Pacific front in WW2 who single handedly killed 95 Japanese troops before dying himself while defending a hospital till the wounded could escaped. It's an amazing tale!
Not to mention two other stories of GIs (who in desperation and strength) wielded a M1919 outside of traditional means.
One was in Guadalcanal, where two sandbag MG nests were defended by Americans to protect the Airfield perimeter. At night, countless bayonet charges were so numerous and intense that the bodies piled up around the firing position, whereby (a man who I forgot the name of) picked up the MG and fired it from the hip. When the position was overrun he resorted to a 1911 and a machete, fighting at point-blank range until retreating alone. There's a documentary out there somewhere.
The other was Tony Stein, who on Iwo Jima used a modified aircraft M1919, assaulted bunkers with suppressive fire, returning eight times to retrieve ammunition and carry back a wounded Marine, winning him the MOH.
I believe you're thinking of John Basilone, he was also present at Iwo Jima. He would make a great episode.

There's something quite badass, describing it as "Their last stand" and ending with Ned in a vicious showdown with the police.
As an Australian I think it is my obligation to tell you all he is actually seen as a hero in Australia (by everyone, even the government and police). He was so iconic and Australians for over 100 years have looked up to Ned Kelly and other bushrangers. It’s because they were all real Robin Hoods living out in the bush.
Jackson Purtell Insane comment. No one sees this vicious, murdering low life as a hero. Only dumb twits would make such a silly, uninformed comment.
RUBBISH. Ned Kelly is seen by intelligent people to be what he was. A very serious murdering criminal. Only brainless fools would consider Ned Kelly a hero.
I would like to respectfully disagree as my Dad is a police officer in South Australia and he and most of his colleagues see Ned Kelly as an evil gangster
@@sambarton815 100% correct with your comment. Well done.
Absolutely 💯
Especially after all the recent anti cop sentiment, Ned Kelly is definitely considered a hero of the people to us in Victoria.
We could have used him when those NeoNazis marched through Melbourne's CBD.
He’s actually the Australian Robin Hood
Except he didnt give away he just stole. A common thug that thinks outside the box
James Doakes except he only stole from the rich that had given the poor a hard time. And he also only hurt corrupt police officers.
Hes actually a cop killer that got romantised for being the first iron man
but looking more into it the cops were way more corrupt at the time, he was a gentleman with manners gave the hostages a cut for there trouble and burned debts in banks so poor family's he never handed out money but he bought people piss didn't have debts and only killed in self defense tho he shouldn't of got into shoot out with cops in first place so it is polarizing agreeing with both sides

I'm Aussie and it's "Such is life!" And also in down under our books say the constable faked it.
He did he said he came but he lied
I like bouncy castles Firstly Ned Kelly never uttered those words on the gallows. Made up nonsense.
Secondly, Constable Fitzpatrick told the truth and Ned Kelly confirmed that after his capture.
Also under oath, during Ned Kelly's trial in Melbourne, Senior Constable Kelly described a conversation he had with Ned Kelly immediately after he had been captured at Glenrowan:
"Between 3 and 6 the same morning had another conversation with prisoner in the presence of Constable Ryan. Gave him some milk-and-water. Asked him if Fitzpatrick's statement was correct." Prisoner said, "Yes, I shot him."
Maybe you should learn the facts before making false allegations.

It looks way better than Fallout 76.
Yeah its a remake of fallout nv. Bethedsa thought it was funny to replace riot gear with an iron man mk1 suit with a trench coat
Eat Me! Gods I wish it were so. I was desperately hoping Bethesda had patched things up with Obsidian and they were going to release a remaster of New Vegas. I would have paid full price for that, without hesitation. Instead we get this subpar slop pretending to be a new Fallout game but is really just proof that they could have just gone on making new DLC for Fallout 4 - a game that only had one good piece of DLC ("Far Harbor"). if the choice was ending on "Nuka World" or paying more money beyond the Season Pass, everyone would have chosen the latter.
Venatio
"oh my god fallout 4 wasn't New vegas 2 so obviously it was a moneygrab and literally satan omg"
Driver Nelphi: A sequal to Fallout New Vegas would be... complicated, given the many faction endings. I only wanted a remaster - polish the edges, squash the bugs, a new coat of paint and a stronger foundation. Fallout New Vegas far outclassed Fallout 4 in most regards, and would completely outclass Fallout 4 were it not for stability issues. And you can't look at Fallout 76 gameplay, with the exact same guns, clothes and armors as Fallout 4 and not say this isn't clearly an unimaginative cash grab. Look at the woman in the middle of the screen, do you recognize that garment she has on? You've seen it on 20+ settlers in F4: screenrant.com/fallout-76-multiplayer-crossplay-sony/
