i agree. it's more than just my favorite album musically. as someone who is sensitive, non-confrontional, sometimes prude and a hopeless romantic. this album jumps to #1 because i feel inspiration when i hear it. this is the album that gives me self confidence to stand up for myself, not care what others think and be comfortable being vulnerable with my romantic partner. I can relate and cry to various songs in her other albums, but this album as a whole makes me feel different.
It’s as close as we’ve really gotten to a “rock Taylor”, and it’s easily my favorite album for high energy dance tracks. Now if we ever see Karma, that might change, but whoever said Rep was her worse album can get off this train at the next stop…
Reputation is her most brilliant album and not a single soul can change my mind. Its not perfectly cohesive but that's the beauty..it IS a progression... you can literally see her evolve from anger to love and peace as you listen to the album. I think it's brilliance comes from the big picture story she depicts
Rep is some of her most cohesive but also one of least cohesive albums if it make sense. Like production is very cohesive, only Call It What You Want and New Year's Day are kinda off, because they sound different than others but but they still has some sounds that are characteristic for Rep and not other albums. But it's really like side A side B album, half is about fall of her reputation and 2nd half is about how she found love at her lowest point in life. Rep was always for me the most fascinating, because of this thing. Like how can be something so cohesive but also really incohesive at the same time?
100% making a documentary about the re-recordings!!! I think it’d be cool if it was a series and each episode was a different album! Also YES to I’d Lie! I honestly forgot about it but still know all the words!
I agree, I've always loved Better Than Revenge lol. I don't agree with the message but you're so right as teen girls we can't help but compare ourselves to the new girl, especially if they are comparing us. Im curious to what she will do. It wouldn't make sense to leave it off and have ppl stream the og.
I'd love for her to just extend the song and add something like a bridge to show her shift of perspective and maybe indicate blaming the other girl is wrong, but blaming the boy isn't ? 😍
Love watching this video a year later 😂 We got TS10, the ERAS TOUR, no new re-records, and new clues to Karma existing (track 11 on TS10 & the orange door at the end of the Eras concert) I really believe that Karma will be TS11… and if she releases that & the rest of the records, she could call her next tour From the Vault (there aren’t any vault tracks on her eras set list) Would this be insane? Yes. But I wouldn’t put it past her
Features on 1989: I need her to have Katy Perry feature on Bad Blood. Since they’ve reconciled, I think it would be such an iconic moment to put her on the song with her. Let Katy benefit from the “Taylor’s version”
4:31 This is me! I wasn't really a fan until after Evermore, so I never got to experience any of the eras or the hype or anything like that. It's been such an amazing experience to see merch drops and see swifties old and new come together and get excited over Taylor who is so inspirational for so many people. I'm so proud of her for taking back her music and her career even if I wasn't there when she didn't own it.
Some artists/bands I would love Taylor to collab with on each re-recorded album: Debut - Kelsea Ballerini, Carrie Underwood. Speak Now - Maisie Peters, Nina Nesbitt. 1989 - Lorde, Selena Gomez, Griff, Sigrid, Dua Lipa, maybe another Haim collab? Reputation - Charli XCX, Rina Sawayama. If she re-recorded Karma - It could be that she might decide to feature some modern pop artists inspired by the 90s like Olivia Rodrigo, or it could be that Taylor chooses to feature rock artists actually from the 90s such as Dave Grohl or Liam Gallagher. Ideas for TS10 - I would love a big stadium rock, Americana style album with collabs with artists such as The Killers, Sam Fender, Bruce Springsteen, The War On Drugs, etc.
I’m watching this video in 2023 after the release of 1989 TV…but still, I want to thank you, Ally. I am a recent Swiftie and your videos deep diving into eras and unpopular opinions are giving me just the Taylor education I have been looking for since I became a fan during the Lover era. Thank you for doing what you do. 💜
Speak Now is my favorite country album of Taylor’s and I truly think when she releases speak now tv people won’t expect it to be big but people are gonna realize what a masterpiece it is and with all the vault songs it’s gonna take over the world
I feel like the only person who is so so excited for Debut! The thought of those songs updated to her voice now and with a better quality of sound, oh my god.
I agree Rep had to sit with me for a moment. I think we all had to process the jump it had from 1989 but also SO happy for her for being able to make an album to help her heal. Rep has a few of my fav songs now (hello Getaway Car, CIWYW, KOMH) and i learned to appreciate her more after the Rep Tour came out!! 🖤🖤
Theory: she's releasing them country, pop, country, pop, country, pop. Fearless, Red (Red is like country pop and indie. Very happy, free confused and lonely at the same time vibes), Speak now, 1989, debut, and Reputation! Totally just my theory that could be 100% wrong! Also unpopular opinion but I LOVE Reputation and bad ass Taylor Reputation era and I cannot wait to see this era again! When look what you made me do came out I was lime "holy do not get on this girl's bad list because she may have lost the battle but she is winning this war!"
In that one performance for artist of the decade in I think 2019 she alluded to the order through the songs she played. First she did love story, from fearless, then she did Ikywt, from red, then etc. So I think that might be the order?

I love hearing your opinions about Taylor. I will say that the re-recording that I'm probably most looking forward to is Teardrops on My Guitar, which I think will kill me. I also deeply love Enchanted so that'll be a highlight too. I do think that she should do Speak Now by herself without any duets or featured artists. I think it's fits the vibe of why she wrote Speak Now by herself in the first place.
I was thinking about this the other day. There’s the original teardrops on my guitar from the 2006 version of debut and then there’s the radio edit version where she says just instead of damn. I wonder if she’ll be record both.
1. All Too Well (I will die on this hill) 2. Delicate 3. White Horse 4. The Archer 5. My Tears Ricochet 6. Tolerate It 7. Dear John 8. All You Had to Do Was Stay 9. Cold As You My first TS song was Tim McGraw. I just remember thinking about how absolutely genius it was to name your breakout single after a music legend in the genre, not to mention the fact that the writing was great.
A fun idea for the Better than Revenge re-recording would be to modify the lyrics to be about Scott Borchetta/Scooter Braun. - ‘soon he’s going to find stealing other people’s toys on the playground won’t make you many friends, he should keep in mind there’s nothing I do better than revenge’ - ‘sophistication isn’t what you wear or who you know, or pushing people down to get to where you wanna go’ - ‘you might have them (masters) but I’ll always get the last word’ I don’t think she’d actually do this, but I think it would be pretty iconic if she did.
Yes I have been thinking this!!!! just need to work out the chorus... 'he's not a saint no he's not what you think he's an actor... he's better known for the things that he does on the....... tractor???'
I REALLY want her to do This Is What You Came For on either 1989 or Reputation 😭 Also wouldn't it be iconic if she just released every Karma song on Reputation (Taylor's Version) and the album had like 40 tracks??
I have to admit that as much as I "liked" all too well, I never "loved" it cause ironically I always felt it was rushed and incomplete though I didn't know it was cut at the time. Having the 10 minute version to me was like: at last, I can love this song for the masterpiece it always was.
HOLD UP… how did I not know that “the best days of your life” was written by Taylor???? this is literally one of my favorite non taylor songs… now i know why! omg this needs to be on speak now tv!!
Yeah, she helped her write it while they were on tour with Brad Paisley and Kelley had just gone through a breakup. Then she did background vocals on the song with her and was in the music video too!
Oh my god, when she releases Reputation tracks from the vault.... I am not ready. That's my favorite album of hers because of everything it symbolized. The glow up is real. I don't know how I'll survive.
i really hope haunted (tv) has the same amount of angst and panic as the original. im so scared she wont be able to access that same emotion in her voice that she had at the time she was going through it. haunted won't be the same without that emotional power!
"I think she'd be one of the last artists to do a big tour" In the same year announces a tour that is breaking records, is 3hrs long, the ticketmaster war was hell, and is probably one of the biggest tours to date
Ok so I think that not all albums will get as much attention as red from Taylor but then I think Fearless was her break through and also the first re-record so obv it got a big release Red was her best album no cap so no doubt there Debut is her debut so it should get a lot of attention Speak now is an album she wrote entirely by herself and as owning her own work is why she’s doing this it should get a lot of attention 1989 is her most successful album so it should get a lot of attention Rep is- rep is rep so it’ll get a lot of attention Oh that means I want all of them to get a lot of attention. ;-;
The only reason I can think of for the Fearless & Reputation being written backwards in The Man video is that they’re the bookends of her Taylor’s Versions. Fearless first and Reputation will be the last.
as a feature, i think florence and the machine would be a great addition. their vocals together would just be amazing. also it would be like pop/ rock vibes for speak now
I still think that we will get karma as an album which is why karma is written once in black (for the single) and another time in orange (for the album)
That 1989 collab wish list was PERFECT! In saying that I must add that if she were to do a collaboration with ‘The 1975’ on ‘1989’ that kind of serotonin would last me till infinity.😍 Oh one more thing; I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure I’ve read somewhere before that she might have a Rep track she left off the album called ‘Family’. So that’s another vault track to add to the Rep list. If that is in fact correct information in the first place.😅
This was literally the best video I've seen about Taylor discourse so thanks for that. And I've never done much research about "Karma" but now I def believe it and I would luvvvv for her to release some of it especially because I loved her bleach hair era, and I want her to do rock so bad bc WANEGBT rock version is her best performance.
my first song was actually 22. I'm a young swifty so when I heard this on the radio for the first time I was quite little. I went through a new favourite song every week at that time and I kept hearing that song on the radio like everyday. istg it was following me. I told my parents that it was my new favourite song so my dad decided I liked Taylor swift and bought me 1989 for my birthday. so from there my love for her sort of grew. I won't lie even though I always loved her, I kind of always considered it a guilty pleasure and I never really considered myself a swifty till much later on. but I think that's why 1989 will always mean so much to me. speak now will forever be my favourite though
Theres not gonna be a re release for folklore bc she recorded that under her new label. Only albums that she recorded under her old album are getting a re release
my first was also our song! I still remember the exact moment: I was 9, in the car coming back from school, and it came on the radio (in Brazil of all places!!! i don't know how that happened, but i'm soooo grateful it did). I hurried to write down the name of the singer (in my rush, it came out as Taylor Sweet hahahahah) and went online to search for it as soon as i got home. Found + downloaded Tim McGraw and Teardrops on my Guitar as well and that was that. 15 years later, i'm still here 💜
I think red really was the begining of her turning a bit away from country like WANEGBT , 22 and IKYWT are such pop bops , and on top of that she then gave us songs like message in a bottle and forever winter so I don't really think of red as a country album hehe
Red is a country album tho, half of it is country, half of it is pop. Holy Ground is a country pop ish, 22 had a country intro with almost all of it pop, WANEGBT is a pop record, IKYWT is also a pop with a lil of country in it, Red is a country record, Treacherous is a country song with elements of pop in it, The Last Time is country, Starlight is a pop song, IBYTAM is straight country, while MIAB is pop including the remix, SBT is a slow country song, TVFN is a pop, All Too Well is a country song, so we can still consider Red as an alternative pop country album.
I literally wrote a 13 (😏) page persuasive essay on Taylor swift…. Red is her crossover album where she BEGAN to experiment with Pop. However it is still technically a country album. Just with some pop experimentation which makes some people believe it is musically in cohesive. 🙃
Agree with what u said about new swifties relieving the eras. Im quite young so when I became a true swiftie she had just dropped Folklore. That means there is sooo many songs to learn. Getting to experience the eras a bit makes me so happy 🥰
@@AllySheehan oh I pretty much love all of them. Favourites are probably Speak Now, Reputation and Folklore, which is wild since they are quite different in tone. And I do also love a lot of songs on evermore and lover. You know what I just don’t know, I love it all🥲♥️
The resons why taylor swift's next studio albumn (11th) album will be karma - 1.karma is the 11th track on midnight 2. The eras tour stage is shaped as a key and that key can also be seen in the google 1989 vault puzzle opening (means the stage is the key ) and her last performed song on eras tour is karma 3. In the karma mv there is a lyric "karmA gonna pop up unannounced" 4. We get midnights (10th studio albumn ) after 2 rerecordings so i think she will follow this pattern that after sntv and 1989tv she will release her next studio albumn . 5. That clock in that coffe shows 11 between her blue painted and back painted nails meaning we will get karma after 1989tv and before rep tv . 6. She has changed her style recently like she is wearing 1989 tv blue and also black (vma red carpet and her meeting sophie turner ) 7. In the karma mv when she is the goddess of justice there is written 1989 in roan numbers and behind it is written karma in the same style as the man mv and the the scene directed to rep which means 1989 tv then karma then reptv . 8. I have seen a hairstylist vedio that she might be wearing a wig recently because the line ofthe bangs where they originate from is too smooth to be done in natural hair so she might be hiding her platinum blonde (karma era) 9. Obviously her karma is real statement
I feel like there are a few country songs on Red, but to me personally, it has more of a pop sound. 1989 is considered her first pop album, but more than half of Red sounded a lot like pop to me, I know others hear mostly country though.
My first taylor swift song was our song! I remember some girls talking about it in elementary school, way back in 2006 or 7. It was the first time I heard her name, and I was definitely familiar with the lyrics before ever hearing it on the radio :)
I'm so excited for speak now, I Hope it's the next one. And my first Taylor song was Should've said no, saw her in the Jonas Brothers dvd and It would be a dream come true If she rerecords It with Joe 😭 It was awesome in the dvd
I know the person who sent you that question on minute 23 isn't wishing for Taylor to break up so we can get an album, but i've seen a lot of people on twitter be overly excited about the possibility of this, which always reminds me of the line: "you are not like the regulars, the masquerade revelers, drunk as they watch my shattered edges glisten" in mirrorball. I think that by "you" she meant Joe, but also her fans, and it makes me sad that some of the people tweeting that are actually her fans. And i agree with everything you said! We'll get good music no matter what.
@@AllySheehan First off OMG HIII!!!! You said maybe she'll change that lyric it could be "She better known for the things she does in the madness". Also not me listing to 1989 tv on full volume in my room dancing the tour sunglasses on rn
Okay so I relate to the “better than revenge” song SO hard. My college BFF married my ex 🤣😂 so the anger in that song, the infamous line “she’s better known for the things that the does on the mattress” literally helped me get over that chapter in my life. I mean it’s been 10 years now and I’m way way way over it but sometimes when I listen to these songs that used to break my heart now, I can’t help but smile at how far I’ve come: Soooo I REALLY hope it gets re-recorded.
Watching this in 2024 is so funny because there is still clowning for Karma, the eras tour, 2 new albums, 3 re-records and then joe and taylors break up then the drama with mattie and now her dating travis. Now even still some of this is right but part of it is so wrong it is actually so funny.
You just did something to my brain by mentioning a collab with miley . I would just pass away. I need it now . (Also would die for a song with either harry which sounds kinda hard or with halsey maybe on rep)
Definitely an unpopular opinion but I’m a huge swifty who also struggles to call myself one. I feel like as her fans we should hold her accountable. There is a culture of Swifties being very protective of her and an unwillingness to hold her accountable for her missteps and irresponsible uses of her platform. Swifties will defend the indefensible. There was a situation where she took to Twitter to say that a Netflix show, Ginny and Georgia, had made a sexist joke at her expense (re her going through lots of boyfriends). It's fine that she wanted to stand up for herself in that way, but when Swifties began attacking the actress who delivered the line with racist slurs and LITERAL THREATS OF DEATH in response to Taylor’s tweet, it’s outrageous that she didn’t say something. This was a big news headline. Taylor was “feminist” enough to defend her own name (in the name of her very self-serving brand of feminism) but disappeared when attacks turned ugly and racist. That's not real feminism. I can't be convinced she and her team didn't know about this. It was a big news story and it took place as a direct result of her tweet defending herself. Many Swifties will argue that that’s part of fame, but I feel like we need to stop normalizing this. It’s hypocritical to claim feminism in defense of yourself but to throw your hands up and walk away when RACIALLY EXPLICIT DEATH THREATS are being hurled at another woman because you didn’t like a throwaway line in a TV show. That’s bullshit. I don’t think I’m being unreasonable to say that in light of the events that unfolded after Taylor’s tweet, her cries of “feminism” ring hollow. She has a long history of this type of self-serving and politically tone-deaf behavior, including when her team threatened a blogger with legal action (serving a cease-and-desist) for arguing that Taylor should denounce the white supremacist fans who insisted that she shared their beliefs and called her their Aryan Goddess. She literally could have sent that cease-and-desist to the Alt-Right groups making those claims in the first place. Although it would have been unsuccessful too because first amendment protected speech is a thing. (I’m flabbergasted bc her legal team HAS to know this.) My point is it’s disturbing that the person she chose to threaten w legal action was the one saying she should denounce the LITERAL HATE GROUP rather than the people OF that hate group claiming she shared their beliefs. The ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) even released a statement chastising her team for attempting to suppress first-amendment speech with their convoluted rhetoric. This is all coming from a woman who as a 19 year old in 2011 went to see her on the Speak Now tour and cried tears of happiness when she came on stage. So it’s not like I don’t have my own attachment to her. But I’ve seen what I’ve seen and my principles are too strong to not take issue with these things. Wrong is wrong. We need to stop making defenses and living in the areas of gray, because racism proliferates in those gray areas. I still love her as a creative entity, but I must admit that I’m not here for her character and I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to not see her as morally corrupt after these incidents. There are real victims of these behaviors, and many are being subjected to death threats (and in some cases even racially explicit death threats.) Taylor and her team need to do better.
I'm sooooo excited for speak now because i feel its the only era i really missed when it came out. Like i remember fearless and then red but speak now is just a Blur. Even tho i remember watching videos on UA-cam of the jonas brothers touring and singing much better and all the camila thing
my dad and I connected over Taylor. he passed away in 2018 and these re-recordings are therapy. I have been loving buying the vinyls and feeling my dad in the room with me.
Ikr I love how she thought that the Taylors versions were gonna come out while speak now came out only half a year ago and 1989 was rereleased just about two months ago 🤣🤣
Wish it was a day for karpool karaoke with Erica, Emily, Jordan, Cody, Ali, Kaedin, Scarlett, Toby, Kenna and of course a debut of lil prince Carter. Want to dance the day away with these lil children of the corn
oooh no! style mv is literally my favorite video of her. its more abstract than all of her other videos, since the metaphors and concepts are very in your face with taylor. (and kinda chessy (SORRY😬) but look at me!, lwymmd, wanegbt and bejeweled lol) also the cinematography and color palette is BEAUTIFUL.
Also I feel like reputation being messy makes sense bc Taylor said that reputation is finding love through noise so it starts with ready for it and ends with new year's day
Rewatching this again after the break up news has been floating around undisputed for a couple weeks…. Oh boy. Also rewatching knowing how crazy wrong we were about TS10, and also knowing that gave us both songs about John & Adam. What a time.
I never hear people talking about how good ‘The Best Days of Your Life’ is! Such an underrated song that reminds me and brings back so much nostalgia over my country loving childhood self 😍. As an OG Swiftie, I appreciate this video so much thank you Ally 💛.
OK so as I have an innate desire to rank literally everything, here is my track 5 ranking: 1. tolerate it 2. Dear John 3. my tears ricochet 4. All Too Well 5. Ayhtdws 6. The Archer 7. White Horse 7. Delicate (I love the song but it doesn't compare to the others here) 8. Cold As You
My first Taylor Swift song was “teardrops on my guitar” !! I remember my sister and I sat straight up in the backseat because we KNEW it was a good song and then my dad (who was driving) had the AUDACITY to change the station!
I love your TS content a lot! Imo Woodvale was kind of possible at some point and I do think that it's a real project, it just seems so weird that someone "forgot" to erase the word. It's coming out in a year or two, if it's coming actually. What excites me the most about Speak Now is the "rock" vibe, as I'm not the biggest fan of the album tbh. The collab propositions were spot on, especially Harry! The world would break. However I'm 90% positive there's a Jonas Brothers collab, as they've been teasing it for a while. I'm excited about the Vault tracks but I want the Rep ones about Joe instead of C*lvin H*rris because that man would love to have his five minutes of fame out of that. I strongly feel that Red was not Taylor's best album, I feel like 1989 TV will be a phenomenon when it comes out again, and debut will as well have more success than expected.
I always love when I see you've posted a video Ally! Everything was wonderfully stated... per usual. The Taylor stan in me is always so appreciative of your content! :) As for a moment of my time to post my personal ranking of tracks 5s, here you go: 1. All Too Well / All Too Well 10 Minute Version (This is kind of hard now since All10Well is technically a track 30, but it was meant to be the track 5 originally... anyways, leaving it at #1 because both versions are BEYOND ICONIC regardless.) 2. All You Had To Do Was Stay 3. my tears ricochet 4. Dear John 5. tolerate it 6. Delicate 7. White Horse 8. Cold As You 9. The Archer
i love how i came back to this video and ally says shes not going on tour any time soon or shes not going to release an album any time soon. oh how wrong you were babes 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I have been a Swiftie since the first time I heard Our Song when I was 6. I really want Speak Now to be net because not only is that my favorite Taylor album, it’s in my opinion one of the best albums I have ever heard in my life. Also I had no idea that Better than revenge was about Camille. Which is weird cause I love Camile Also I WANT so badly for a 10 minute Enchanted
im watching over a year after this was posted and it’s crazy how many things ally got right! your videos really pulled me in to the world of ts and im forever grateful!❤❤❤
i think originally taylor meant to release 1989 for the next re-recording but because of the lawsuit, she cant release that yet. A hint we got that she may have been planning to release 1989 taylors version can simply be her releasing wildest dreams (taylors version), basically saying that she was working on 1989 taylors version already. But because of the lawsuit it may be possible that she resorted to working on speak now TV to give fans something without them having to wait for fall again.
Oh rep is a WHOLE masterpiece. Just thinking how she turned the worst time of her life/career into THAT? amazing.
i agree. it's more than just my favorite album musically. as someone who is sensitive, non-confrontional, sometimes prude and a hopeless romantic. this album jumps to #1 because i feel inspiration when i hear it. this is the album that gives me self confidence to stand up for myself, not care what others think and be comfortable being vulnerable with my romantic partner. Its not perfectly cohesive but that's the beauty..it IS a progression... you can literally see her evolve from anger to love and peace as you listen to the album. I think it's brilliance comes from the big picture story she depicts

Agree love that album, that was the first concert I’ve ever been too it was amazing.
Rep is some of her most cohesive but also one of least cohesive albums if it make sense. Like production is very cohesive, only Call It What You Want and New Year's Day are kinda off, because they sound different than others but
but they still has some sounds that are characteristic for Rep and not other albums. But it's really like side A side B album, half is about fall of her reputation and 2nd half is about how she found love at her lowest point in life.

Some artists/bands I would love Taylor to collab with on each re-recorded album:
Debut - Kelsea Ballerini, Carrie Underwood.
I would really love Taylor to collab with Lana del Rey . Because this two queens are my favourite singers ...
charli called us a bunch of kids after the rep tour so i dont know about that one
She got to work with Future again. Their work was legendary masterpiece if not future then da baby
@@MvsicAdd7ct I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT BEFORE. I NEED A SONG WITH JACK SINGING WITH TAYLOR.
1989- dua lipa, bruno mars, carly rae jepsen, charlie puth
Reputation- the weeknd, martin garrix, drake
Speak now- olivia, avril, paramore, miley
I wasn't a certified swiftie until the start of 2021 so getting to experience the excitement for these era's makes me feel so included!
yess me too
you're in for a wild ride! :)
haha that was the same time for me too i wish i could go back and discover every album again
The happiness I have watching your Taylor videos is honestly up there with when she releases an album!! I love your channel so much xx
omg that is TOO MUCH
the fact that i can’t like this comment cause it’s got 13 likes and i don’t want to ruin it :(

Speak Now is my favorite country album of Taylor’s and I truly think when she releases speak now tv people won’t expect it to be big but people are gonna realize what a masterpiece it is and with all the vault songs it’s gonna take over the world
I AGREE
people are going to be floored by dear john
I feel like the only person who is so so excited for Debut! The thought of those songs updated to her voice now and with a better quality of sound, oh my god.
No omg I’m so excited toooo
I agree Rep had to sit with me for a moment. I think we all had to process the jump it had from 1989 but also SO happy for her for being able to make an album to help her heal. Rep has a few of my fav songs now (hello Getaway Car, CIWYW, KOMH) and i learned to appreciate her more after the Rep Tour came out!! 🖤🖤
I was the same way! When it first came out, to be honest, was not a fan...because it was soo different. But now it's God tier ❤️
yep yep it took me at least a year to really fall into the album
I also gave up on the a evermore long pond. The time wouldve been around the anniversary i think. I'm just dying to see her sing goldrush you know? 😭
Goldrush 💛
I'd really loved to hear live versions of Gold Rush, No body No crime, Tolerate it, Ivy, etc. I mean, Willow Performance was so good. •́ ‿ ,•̀
I thought the same thing!
yeahhh, i mean she has "Happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time." on instagram so could totally be
Same thoughts. Idk it just doesn't sound right if taylor rerecords two consecutive country or consecutive pop albums.
yes i love rep and i feel like rep tv could be one of the biggest album drops ever.
In that one performance for artist of the decade in I think 2019 she alluded to the order through the songs she played. First she did love story, from fearless, then she did Ikywt, from red, then etc. So I think that might be the order?

Sooooooo watching this right after the Speak Now TV era is kinda cool. Ally got a lot right, and tbh I think she’s extra right about 1989’s release.
She did have co-writers on bonus tracks for SN though, so I wouldn't mind a feature on there!
I was thinking about this the other day. There’s the original teardrops on my guitar from the 2006 version of debut and then there’s the radio edit version where she says just instead of damn. I wonder if she’ll be record both.
1. All Too Well (I will die on this hill)
2. Delicate
3. White Horse
4. The Archer
5. My Tears Ricochet
6. Tolerate It
7. Dear John
8. All You Had to Do Was Stay
9. Cold As You
My first TS song was Tim McGraw. I just remember thinking about how absolutely genius it was to name your breakout single after a music legend in the genre, not to mention the fact that the writing was great.
Coming back to this after 1989 TV… you were SO right about the speak now TV treatment 😭
A fun idea for the Better than Revenge re-recording would be to modify the lyrics to be about Scott Borchetta/Scooter Braun.
- ‘soon he’s going to find stealing other people’s toys on the playground won’t make you many friends, he should keep in mind there’s nothing I do better than revenge’
- ‘sophistication isn’t what you wear or who you know, or pushing people down to get to where you wanna go’
- ‘you might have them (masters) but I’ll always get the last word’
I don’t think she’d actually do this, but I think it would be pretty iconic if she did.
This is brilliant
This is amazing
This is BRILLIANT
Yes I have been thinking this!!!! just need to work out the chorus... 'he's not a saint no he's not what you think he's an actor... he's better known for the things that he does on the....... tractor???'
@@ZoeAR97 he's a liar, better known for the things he set on fire? Maybe? Idk
I REALLY want her to do This Is What You Came For on either 1989 or Reputation 😭
Also wouldn't it be iconic if she just released every Karma song on Reputation (Taylor's Version) and the album had like 40 tracks??
I have to admit that as much as I "liked" all too well, I never "loved" it cause ironically I always felt it was rushed and incomplete though I didn't know it was cut at the time. Having the 10 minute version to me was like: at last, I can love this song for the masterpiece it always was.
seeing this after speak now (taylor’s version) was released is great
SPEAK NOW TV IS OUT!! also btr just had a lyric change to “he was a moth to the flame, she was holding the matches whoaa”
HOLD UP… how did I not know that “the best days of your life” was written by Taylor???? this is literally one of my favorite non taylor songs… now i know why! omg this needs to be on speak now tv!!
you’re even more of a swiftie than you realized!!
Yeah, she helped her write it while they were on tour with Brad Paisley and Kelley had just gone through a breakup. Then she did background vocals on the song with her and was in the music video too!
@@Teddyiscute oh that’s really cool!
YESSS THAT"S WHY IT'S SO FREAKIN GOOOOOOD we deserve a taylor's version (but i really dont have high hopes :( )
She did that one and she did Better Man by a Little Big Town. Which is my favorite country song
5:25 the week of speak now tv and she still has the midnights layout everywhere
Omg I love this so much. In my mind, Speak Now will literally be insane. Self Written masterpiece. The ballads. Need I say more.
EX ACT LY
Oh my god, when she releases Reputation tracks from the vault.... I am not ready. That's my favorite album of hers because of everything it symbolized. The glow up is real. I don't know how I'll survive.
i really hope haunted (tv) has the same amount of angst and panic as the original. im so scared she wont be able to access that same emotion in her voice that she had at the time she was going through it. haunted won't be the same without that emotional power!
yes i feel you!!!! but i trust her!! we must!!
Me too, but also dear John
People rewatching this after Midnights, The eras tour, Speak Now TV, 1989 TV and The Tortured Poets Department🙋♀
❤
Watching this THE DAY after speak now tv is released
HITS DIFFERENT💜💜💜
"I think she'd be one of the last artists to do a big tour" In the same year announces a tour that is breaking records, is 3hrs long, the ticketmaster war was hell, and is probably one of the biggest tours to date
HOW FUNNY
Ok so I think that not all albums will get as much attention as red from Taylor but then I think
Fearless was her break through and also the first re-record so obv it got a big release
Red was her best album no cap so no doubt there
Debut is her debut so it should get a lot of attention
Speak now is an album she wrote entirely by herself and as owning her own work is why she’s doing this it should get a lot of attention
1989 is her most successful album so it should get a lot of attention
Rep is- rep is rep so it’ll get a lot of attention
Oh that means I want all of them to get a lot of attention. ;-;
Hahaha they literally all deserve it omg
It must be so interesting looking back on these videos like this now, since Midnights and Eras Tour are now the present ❤
The only reason I can think of for the Fearless & Reputation being written backwards in The Man video is that they’re the bookends of her Taylor’s Versions. Fearless first and Reputation will be the last.
23:06 that's crazy considering what happend and the songs we got, there's a thing about the tortured poets that hits different I guess 😿
as a feature, i think florence and the machine would be a great addition. their vocals together would just be amazing. also it would be like pop/ rock vibes for speak now
WOOOWWWW YES OMG
:o are you psychic?
@@taylornpickle OMG i forgot i said this thats crazy maybe i am
Hahaha!1 year later,we have Midnights,The eras tour,The eras tour movie,Karma as a song,Speak now(TV),1989(TV) and she is in a new relationship❤.
when i saw this, i took off faster than a green light go
absolutely outstanding comment
I still think that we will get karma as an album which is why karma is written once in black (for the single) and another time in orange (for the album)
That 1989 collab wish list was PERFECT!
In saying that I must add that if she were to do a collaboration with ‘The 1975’ on ‘1989’ that kind of serotonin would last me till infinity.😍
Oh one more thing; I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure I’ve read somewhere before that she might have a Rep track she left off the album called ‘Family’. So that’s another vault track to add to the Rep list. If that is in fact correct information in the first place.😅
Yes that’s true! And also “all of the girls”
@@AllySheehan im pretty sure that was a lover deluxe track but she never released it
Dua Lipa should be on 1989
This was literally the best video I've seen about Taylor discourse so thanks for that.
I was 22 when Erica was the light of my life. I'm so thankful for our time together, her birthday party with the pop up princess castle ❤❤❤
Speak Now was my favorite album until we got Folklore. I cannot WAIT for the re-release! I feel like people sleep on that album.
I AGREE!! (Obviously) 💜💜
People are going to hear dear John and lose their minds
Theres not gonna be a re release for folklore bc she recorded that under her new label. Only albums that she recorded under her old album are getting a re release
@@jescareno8332 Yeah, I know I meant I’m looking forward to the re-release of Speak Now, but I can see how my comment sounded confusing ha!
my first was also our song! 15 years later, i'm still here 💜
Girl can predict the future. Speak now Taylor's version just came out less than an hour ago during the summer time.
@garbage egabrag yess, while red was alternative pop country, which makes red the process of Taylor going from country to pop.
I literally wrote a 13 (😏) page persuasive essay on Taylor swift…. Red is her crossover album where she BEGAN to experiment with Pop. However it is still technically a country album. Just with some pop experimentation which makes some people believe it is musically in cohesive. 🙃
Loveeeee thanks for educating me ❣️❣️❣️
It’s Pop/Country in the best way tbh.. holy ground..IBYTAM..but also 22,Babe ect
little did she knew what was coming next….. midnights+eras tour+speak now tv………
one of the biggest tour of the century✨
i love how we thought she would do all rerecordings first, and then there is ✨midnights ✨
Amazing how much you predicted right at the beginning of this vid!
Agree with what u said about new swifties relieving the eras. Im quite young so when I became a true swiftie she had just dropped Folklore. That means there is sooo many songs to learn. Getting to experience the eras a bit makes me so happy 🥰
ahhh so excited for you!! which other albums do you love from her?
@@AllySheehan oh I pretty much love all of them. Favourites are probably Speak Now, Reputation and Folklore, which is wild since they are quite different in tone. And I do also love a lot of songs on evermore and lover. You know what I just don’t know, I love it all🥲♥️
HE WAS A MOTH TO THE FLAME SHE WAS HOLDING THE MATCHES
Even though a lot of Rep doesn't line up with my tastes musically, I still think it's a really ambitious and well-crafted album
The resons why taylor swift's next studio albumn (11th) album will be karma -
1.karma is the 11th track on midnight
2. The eras tour stage is shaped as a key and that key can also be seen in the google 1989 vault puzzle opening (means the stage is the key ) and her last performed song on eras tour is karma
3. In the karma mv there is a lyric "karmA gonna pop up unannounced"
6. She has changed her style recently like she is wearing 1989 tv blue and also black (vma red carpet and her meeting sophie turner )
7. In the karma mv when she is the goddess of justice there is written 1989 in roan numbers and behind it is written karma in the same style as the man mv and the the scene directed to rep which means 1989 tv then karma then reptv .
8. I have seen a hairstylist vedio that she might be wearing a wig recently because the line ofthe bangs where they originate from is too smooth to be done in natural hair so she might be hiding her platinum blonde (karma era)
9. Obviously her karma is real statement
omg Love ur theory🥰🥰😱😱
I feel like there are a few country songs on Red, but to me personally, it has more of a pop sound. 1989 is considered her first pop album, but more than half of Red sounded a lot like pop to me, I know others hear mostly country though.
I agree honestly!
“Imagine the album we will get if Joe breaks her heart” well that didn’t age well… TTPD APRIL 19TH😮😮
5:21 I honestly think both. Because ibytam was definitely country and 22 was definitely pop so it’s really just how you look at it
I can't believe you predicted the Better Than Revenge lyric change!!!
omg haha what did i say!
TRULY it is such a cathartic song!! i am so sorry that happened to you omg
We all Love ally talking about Taylor 💖.
Love her wether she's talking about TS or not
Watching this in 2024 is so funny because there is still clowning for Karma, the eras tour, 2 new albums, 3 re-records and then joe and taylors break up then the drama with mattie and now her dating travis. Now even still some of this is right but part of it is so wrong it is actually so funny.
You just did something to my brain by mentioning a collab with miley . I would just pass away. I need it now . (Also would die for a song with either harry which sounds kinda hard or with halsey maybe on rep)
Ooooh, Cold As You is so so so epic! I’m on the ‘Best Track 5’ train for Cold As You.
I think if she does the documentary it would be very cool if she announced it on Kelly's talk show
yesss that would be so full circle!
my dad and I connected over Taylor. he passed away in 2018 and these re-recordings are therapy. I have been loving buying the vinyls and feeling my dad in the room with me.
Aww I'm so sorry to hear that, but so lovely you got to connect over something so wonderful
It is WILD watching this in Dec 2023... your MIND, Ally
ahah did i get anything right??
Ikr I love how she thought that the Taylors versions were gonna come out while speak now came out only half a year ago and 1989 was rereleased just about two months ago 🤣🤣
@@AllySheehan yes! You got castles crumbling right! And sweeter than fiction but you said it would be on speak now tv.
you’ll always find your way back home acoustic version would be my dreammm
Most of Taylor’s albums came out in the fall/autumn. We used to know that every 2 years in the fall we’d get a new album
Carpool Karaoke and Hot Ones are such great ideas!!!💡 I'd definitely love to see Sean's deep dive and interviewing skills in full capacity hehe
Wish it was a day for karpool karaoke with Erica, Emily, Jordan, Cody, Ali, Kaedin, Scarlett, Toby, Kenna and of course a debut of lil prince Carter. Want to dance the day away with these lil children of the corn
also obsessed with the idea of her covering Shanias you’re still the one because that’s the song i want for my wedding song!
Oh my goodness I hope she does this for you!
oooh no! style mv is literally my favorite video of her. its more abstract than all of her other videos, since the metaphors and concepts are very in your face with taylor.
Literally nobody else ever ever mentions it!! So glad you are a fellow fan 💜
OK so as I have an innate desire to rank literally everything, here is my track 5 ranking:
1. tolerate it
2. Dear John
3. my tears ricochet
4. All Too Well
5. Ayhtdws
6. The Archer
7. White Horse
7. Delicate (I love the song but it doesn't compare to the others here)
8. Cold As You
wow thank you for sharing!!
Ever notice how “Fearless” was written backward in The Man MV and the cover for Fearless TV is backward?
interesting!!!!

My first Taylor Swift song was “teardrops on my guitar” !! I remember my sister and I sat straight up in the backseat because we KNEW it was a good song and then my dad (who was driving) had the AUDACITY to change the station!
Dad 😡😡
15:24 Omfg u unlocked a deep deep lost memory. Thank you so much
I love your TS content a lot!
I strongly feel that Red was not Taylor's best album, I feel like 1989 TV will be a phenomenon when it comes out again, and debut will as well have more success than expected.
i love this video!! and you’re right it’s going to be insane to get tickets for her next tour
Wow this aged fantastic for Speak Now TV
haha did it what did i say!
I always love when I see you've posted a video Ally! Everything was wonderfully stated... per usual. The Taylor stan in me is always so appreciative of your content! :) As for a moment of my time to post my personal ranking of tracks 5s, here you go:
1. All Too Well / All Too Well 10 Minute Version (This is kind of hard now since All10Well is technically a track 30, but it was meant to be the track 5 originally... anyways, leaving it at #1 because both versions are BEYOND ICONIC regardless.)
2. All You Had To Do Was Stay
3. my tears ricochet
4. Dear John
5. tolerate it
6. Delicate
7. White Horse
8. Cold As You
9. The Archer
i love how i came back to this video and ally says shes not going on tour any time soon or shes not going to release an album any time soon. oh how wrong you were babes 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The fact that 1989 tv is coming out in October😂
I have been a Swiftie since the first time I heard Our Song when I was 6. I really want Speak Now to be net because not only is that my favorite Taylor album, it’s in my opinion one of the best albums I have ever heard in my life. Also I had no idea that Better than revenge was about Camille. Which is weird cause I love Camile
Also I WANT so badly for a 10 minute Enchanted
You must have been too young at the time to know what was going on behind the scenes!! I agree it is a perfect album
@@AllySheehan Yeah I wad like 10 ao I just didn't think about it 😆

My first Taylor Swift song was Teardrops on My Guitar, I remember watching the music video on CMT which makes me feel sooo old!
i think originally taylor meant to release 1989 for the next re-recording but because of the lawsuit, she cant release that yet. A hint we got that she may have been planning to release 1989 taylors version can simply be her releasing wildest dreams (taylors version), basically saying that she was working on 1989 taylors version already. But because of the lawsuit it may be possible that she resorted to working on speak now TV to give fans something without them having to wait for fall again.
also the est. in 1989 merch last year!
Finally we are getting 1989TV! I cried in my bed watching tik toks about it
i just feel deep in my heart that karma might have been my favourite album of hers
so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that KARMA IS REAL
