      They probably said grace off-camera. I think there's something in the Bible about not making a big show about praying. Yeah, here it is. Matthew 6: "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.

      @@emilyadams9986 You know this vid is satire right? The creator is making fun of trad wives who condemn all non-traditional relationships and/or families.
      take not that it’s ONLY those women being made fun of. Wanting a traditional, God-focused relationship is not at all a bad thing. It’s also not a bad thing to choose having a career instead of having kids
      Also you are correct about that verse. I’m Christian and just started reading the book of Matthew. What Jesus was talking about there was that if you make it a big deal to pray in front of others then you aren’t really praying to God. You’re more focused on making sure that everyone knows what you’re doing. The pharisees used to do that, and they are the examples given to us of what NOT to do. They were so concerned about everyone knowing how ‘devout’ they were that they lost all understanding of who God is.

      It's a Christian fundamentalist thing.
      Before the church was what it is today, many Christians lived isolated monastic lives in the desert because they believed that distancing themselves from society would bring them closer to God. They ate very little and spent most of their time praying.
      Today, "worldly" is usually associated with pop culture, sex for plesure, mainstream government, secular literature, etc (basically anything that could distract you from thinking about "god")
      If their particular interpretation of god and the church are not in full control of your thoughts and lifestyle, then it's a problem.
      That being said, in the more secular sense, avoiding worldly pleasure can be very beneficial. A lot of people of various religions or secular schools of thought make their lives more enjoyable by not drowning themselves in worldly pleasures and easy dopamine, and instead giving their time to fruitful causes and crafts.

      Women are equal in the abstract sense. That is, she is a fellow human due her rights and considerations.
      Women's labor, on the other hand, indeed is often not terribly valuable. I don't need a woman to do chores for me with modern appliances. I doubt many women can cook better than I can. In the economy overall, most products coming from women's labor are luxuries or even liabilities like HR departments. Of course, there are exceptions. My grandmother graded dozens of neighborhoods according to her design inside a Bobcat. But construction work is "icky" these days.

    • @phoenixgirl70
      @phoenixgirl70 6 місяців тому

      With lots of them that’s the plan. They’re grifters lying to people hoping to get sponsors, full time career online. Especially the ones with no kids who’ve spent ages finding the right dresses (costume, including padded push up bras), styling their hair, full make up who just talk to the camera with flashes of them mashing something containing flour in a big bowl. Giving the fantasy but not the reality. Some talk about wanting to wear pretty dresses, take care of their children and milking cows (seriously, heard this one twice). Like wouldn’t the dress get ruined but they’ve never done anything they say they want. They pretend they have no other desires or interests or needs of their own. It’s such a gateway to abuse. It’s not just being a stay at home mom but still valued and having interests and friends. It’s becoming a slave without a partner, just a master.

    Slice ur potatoes. Make a brine solution and soak them with whatever flavors u want to shine through. Soak them overnight. Rinse them off and fry them. While u are frying them, preheat ur oven to about 200. Season the chips and then lay them on a sheet pan and bake them for around 15 to 20. I live in a high altitude area. You prolly do not use judgments based on elevation for time. This process will pull out excess oil and make them nice and crispy. Hope this helps

"Hah, own the feminist by saying you think women SHOULD live their lives subservient and with no fiancial sense of independence should things ho terribly wrong."
