@@stok.figuur I would say whether he has a chance depends mainly on how he goes about it. But I’m not sure such a young and hungry driver can let it go and just settle in behind Max until his time may come and I really don’t see him (or pretty much anyone) beating Max in equal machinery, let alone in red bull.
I'll miss him too, but don't worry about him. He'll be joining his old team mate Mick, driving for a team in the WEC, and will likely be well paid and very successful.
I’m thinking the same can be said about Alonso. Had an incredible career but he’s standing in the way of new up and coming talent and needs to know when to hang it up. That and Stroll has no business being in F1 period. But when daddy’s money does the talking I guess they can be happy with mediocrity.
I'm sure there are probably better options and I don't quite know about current contracts, but get lawson beside max, yuki beside alonso for honda, then hajar and colapinto in the vcarbs as a full on rookie team, I think it'd be fun
Nah, *Hadjar* and Lawson at RB and Verstappen and Tsunoda at RBR! Why should Colapinto overtake Hadjar, just because Colapinto has already debuted in F1?
While Colapinto’s sum may have taken a bit of a hit in Brazil, it’s nothing compared to the hit Williams took with the Alpine double podium dropping them down to ninth in the constructors standings. I’m sure they’ll look to get everything they can out of the Colapinto deal, if there is to be one.
something interesting to think about, if colapinto has already signed with RB, could it have been a purposeful crash to bring out a red flag to help verstappen? brazil was the crucial championship defining race, whether or not lando could continue his slim chances of winning or if verstappen can put one hand on the title.
Interesting that the painfully slow death of Bottas’ F1 career at the hands of Sauber/Audi appears to have attracted no misapprobation compared 0:20 to the hysteria generated by RedBull’s dismissal of Ricciardo.
I can't help but feel like it was mistake for Bortoleto to sign with Audi. When Russell went to Williams, he was part of the Merc program and it was always understood that he would go to Mercedes eventually. Bortoleto WAS part of the McLaren program and he had a clear path to a competitive situation, but he gave that up for an immediate F1 seat. Now his only chance of getting to the front of the grid is Audi actually becoming competitive which will take time and might never actually happen. Bortoleto will squander his F1 chance racing around for 19th place and then be overlooked for any available top seats in the future, because by the time those become available the next new shiny rookie will have arrived.
Are The Race also going to review and analyze how Alpine as well as both Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly shocked everyone at Interlagos just like how Charles Leclerc shocked everyone at Monza?
Tsunoda replaces Stroll at Aston (i wish) Lawson + Colopinto at VCARB Bottas to RB Tsunoda has connections with Honda who is supplying Aston moving forward. Maybe they can leverage Lawerence to get Lance out? Lawson and Colopinto at VCARB is risky but has high upside. IMO better than sending one straight to the main team; you let the two rookies develop. Bottas has a proven record of being a great no2 to Hamilton, maybe he can do the same with Verstappen?
I really don't want Tsunoda at Aston Martin as some kind of Honda tag along driver. He's not that great all things considered - give a rookie or other young driver a chance. Mid field F1 drivers do quite well in sports cars - Yuki could likely find a seat in the WEC and thrive!
Whoever of the 2 gets that Red Bull seat. It's insane because for one they both don't have a full F1 season, even if they are doing great. Secondly Tsunoda really is just there with them not doing anything with him.
Colapinto has been crashing left and right in the last couple of races and still the shine hasn't gone off him? Crashing under the safety car? Really?!that's a stroll level move!
On a day when American voters equalled the worst decision they've ever made, it's nice to see Sauber/Audi did the right thing and got rid of Bottas. "What happened to Bottas?" shouldn't need to be asked. He had a WC-winning car for five years and achieved next to nothing. Russell's promotion was delayed for this waste of space, his only talent being crashing into his team mate's title rivals. Since when do we reward mediocrity? The same people calling for Checo's head were silent when it was Bottas woefully underachieving. Say what you want about Nico Rosberg, at least he tried. You may disagree and that's OK, but he should have gone years ago. That's just facts. SNS.
I don't see how RB can consider Colapinto seriously for the main team seat given he has not shown he can consistently outperform Albon in equal machinery, who RB dropped.
I just can’t see them taking Colapinto over Lawson. Sure the guy is good and all, and maybe even better than Lawson (personally, I don’t think so). But given how long Horner held onto DR and Perez, they must promote Lawson over the other two (3 if you count the sacked Perez). Unless Checo is really only there for his sponsors and isn’t even supposed to score points so they get more time in the wind tunnel. But that would be ludicrous… 😮
As much i would like to see new faces in the grid colapinto or lawson for checo’s seat, if red bull wants to replace checo, bottas would be a good option as well. Team player and would fit beside max.
Hot take, feel free to disagree of course: I think Fernando will retire this year and Valterri will replace him. I'm not sure about Franco, he could go to Red Bull or be a reserve till 2026. The way Fernando's been talking in pre and post race interviews makes me feel like he's ready to stop.
None of that will happen. Lawrence is a money man. The entire teams stock will fall off a cliff if they lose Fernando. They will just offer him more. I think he won't want to leave before Newey arrives also but if he does quit, Bottas won't be their 1st choice, he'll be the, no other choice option.
I will disagree. With Newey starting in March there is zero chance he’d retire now. This is what he’s been waiting for and why he re-signed. He’s just resigned to their station right now, especially if there are no more upgrades as they are focusing on ‘25. He’s still giving everything on track, the car just isn’t performing. With massive back pain from bad porpoising he clawed back 20 seconds and passed Zhou in Brazil.
Is the Sauber/Audi marketing department comatose or something? Announcing this at the Brazilian GP would have been the easist bit of promo/goodwill gathering anyone's ever had in F1.
Colapinto is more valuable to Williams than Sainz is because of the finacial backing alone, they'd be smarter to sell Carlos to Red Bull to let him compete in a Championship challenger while building the team around Franco.
Red Bull don't think Hadjar is ready for F1, yet he's just 4.5 points behind Bortoleto in the F2 standings with 4 races remaining. And here's a situation which may put Red Bull in a tough position - what if Hadjar gets the upper hand of the already promoted Bortoleto in the final two rounds in Qatar and Abu Dhabi and wins the championship? If Red Bull don't offer him a seat, he'll become the third champion in a row after Felipe Drugovich and Théo Porchaire to not be in F1 and if you include Oscar Piastri, who was on the bench in 2022, that will be four champions in a row who didn't get a racing seat the following year (i.e. the year after becoming a champion).
They should have signed him at the get go, just trespass their dads from any team facilities, lol! A Sainz/Verstappen pairing would have been a mighty force that would have brought the fight in next years championship. All of these other configurations are pinning hopes that whoever gets the seat is a good partner for max and does better than Perez, of which there isn’t a lot to validate that yet. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled we’re getting the year of the rookies, but not signing a talent like Sainz was just dumb if they’re serious about an upgrade from Perez.
There could be a few reasons, he might have insisted on some surety that he would not be a number 2 driver while they wouldn't give it. Or they didn't want to give a long term contract, that is a reason he didn't consider Mercedes. Or he just wants more money than they are willing to give.
Well he does deserve a top seat, but I can see how he was the one who rejected Red Bull on the basis of not wanting to be seen as the number 2 driver or them only offering a 1 year deal. And it could even be bad for Red Bull. They have promising junior drivers, they need to start using them.
@@DeathBlocksI haven’t heard any of that about Sainz and RB. I think they rejected him and he signed with Williams as his best option. He even has a clause in his contract if they do come calling. Why would he reject a one year deal with RBR and sign with Williams for two with an out clause if RB wants him? That doesn’t make any sense to me. He’d be better off winning races or getting podiums in a RB, than midfield in a Williams.

If Max beats them it raises max’s stock and if they can compete with Max they have a driver just in case max leaves but its not as good as a deal for a rookie driver since it could make or break their career i.e Albon
I get the feeling he is the one who can finally take that challenge on though.
Franco parece capacitado para a vaga de Checo...
Both Albon and Gasly got other drives, it didn’t end their careers. So it’s not as bad as it’s made out to be.
@@seashackf1at two of the worst teams in F1, totally not a career ender guys
it’s always funny when Brits make baseball references, but I don’t think they really know what it means
I really hope Magnussen gets a last chance, I honestly think he still has a lot to how, and Mexico proves hes not a bad driver on a good day
It is a new era, the old guard is being replaced.
I'll miss him too, but don't worry about him.
He'll be joining his old team mate Mick, driving for a team in the WEC, and will likely be well paid and very successful.
There should always be at least one Brazilian (as well as a Brit, a Finn, a German and an Italian) on the grid.
Why did Sauber not even consider Theo Pouchair? I have not read any rumours that he was even considered
Bortoleto is likely a pay driver
Ok makes sense then although I follow F2 bortoleto is very good... I still wish we saw Theo in a seat...
@@KuchingKingVideoGamer
Bottas is well overdue retiring. Same with Perez and Hulk. The terrible state of the RB driver camp is just proof that Marko needs to go .
I’m thinking the same can be said about Alonso. Had an incredible career but he’s standing in the way of new up and coming talent and needs to know when to hang it up. That and Stroll has no business being in F1 period. But when daddy’s money does the talking I guess they can be happy with mediocrity.
Bortoleto Vs Piastri? Could be a legendary lineup if McLaren continue to deliver a fast car
Getting Colapinto sounds like a good way of dropping Perez while keeping Slim's money and sourh American support.
Watch this space.
I'm sure there are probably better options and I don't quite know about current contracts, but get lawson beside max, yuki beside alonso for honda, then hajar and colapinto in the vcarbs as a full on rookie team, I think it'd be fun
I can see the race making videos race after race in 2025 telling that will be the last grand prix for Perez 😂 until Abu Dabi
So, you're saying that Perez's seats is in the hands of...
SPONSORS?
Bottas to redbull would be ideal
Yuki to Redbull.
Lawson and Hadjar/Colapinto
Not a chance. Yuki will never be in red bull. They would have already done it a long time ago
Yuki is trash
@@ryanallen6443 His recent crashes look bad and hurt his good work.
@@Max_Flashheart Uh, also how he was slower than Lawson both in Suzuka last year and at COTA this year?
Colapinto and lawson should be in the RB next year and it should be Verstappen and Tsunoda
My feeling is that Red Bull already know who’s in the seat. But they’re building a narrative to cover themselves.
If Bortoleto can beat Hulkenberg handily, he'll still be rated highly.
Are The Race also going to review and analyze how Alpine as well as both Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly shocked everyone at Interlagos just like how Charles Leclerc shocked everyone at Monza?
Is there any chance for Sainz to Red Bull and Colapinto stay at Williams?
Tsunoda replaces Stroll at Aston (i wish)
Lawson + Colopinto at VCARB
Bottas to RB
Tsunoda has connections with Honda who is supplying Aston moving forward.
Unlikely for Tsunoda to replace Stroll
Lance Stroll scored podiums and poles already while overrated Tsunoda is inconsistent
I really don't want Tsunoda at Aston Martin as some kind of Honda tag along driver.
He's not that great all things considered - give a rookie or other young driver a chance.
Mid field F1 drivers do quite well in sports cars - Yuki could likely find a seat in the WEC and thrive!
I don't if this is possible. But I believe allow Sainz to get to Redbull. Allow Franco to stay in the Williams alongside Albon
Surely Lawson goes in at RB and Colapinto goes to Toro Rosso.
Whoever of the 2 gets that Red Bull seat. It's insane because for one they both don't have a full F1 season, even if they are doing great. Secondly Tsunoda really is just there with them not doing anything with him.
So many young drivers getting in for next year
Welcome to f1 Bortoleto ❤❤❤
Colapinto has been crashing left and right in the last couple of races and still the shine hasn't gone off him?
Crashing under the safety car?
Really?!that's a stroll level move!
James Vowles business masterclass
Really glad to see old timers that do not aggregate much to the sport leaving and having newcomers come in.
Tsunoda better than Colapinto and Lawson at Red Bull at least for 1st part of the season.
I dont rate binotto at all for this position but i do think this is probably the best they could do with their driver line up
apart from checo and stroll
the grid is the best its ever been
I just can’t see them taking Colapinto over Lawson.
If I am Vowles, maybe I could drop Albon and pick up Colapinto...
They already have both, but only one seat
Albon is under contact..Buying out Albon's contract is gonna be very expensive
As much i would like to see new faces in the grid colapinto or lawson for checo’s seat, if red bull wants to replace checo, bottas would be a good option as well. Team player and would fit beside max.
Happy to see Brazil back in the F1 map
Love to see Colapinto /Liam in a Red Bull seat
Checo is toast, as he should have been a long time ago. Now, if only a certain someone with a fondness for windows were to go as well 🤔
Oscar Piastri pasó por F3 en uno de los mejores semilleros de la F1 no es que simplemente pasó por BWT Alpine, misma escuela que Gabriel Bortoleto.
8:00 song?
Hot take, feel free to disagree of course: I think Fernando will retire this year and Valterri will replace him. I'm not sure about Franco, he could go to Red Bull or be a reserve till 2026.
The way Fernando's been talking in pre and post race interviews makes me feel like he's ready to stop.
If Fernando goes I think Yuki is more likely to replace him than Bottas. Honda will probably want their driver in.
None of that will happen. Lawrence is a money man. The entire teams stock will fall off a cliff if they lose Fernando. They will just offer him more. I think he won't want to leave before Newey arrives also but if he does quit, Bottas won't be their 1st choice, he'll be the, no other choice option.
Alonso singed a 2 year deal in spring
I will disagree. With Newey starting in March there is zero chance he’d retire now. This is what he’s been waiting for and why he re-signed. He’s just resigned to their station right now, especially if there are no more upgrades as they are focusing on ‘25. He’s still giving everything on track, the car just isn’t performing. With massive back pain from bad porpoising he clawed back 20 seconds and passed Zhou in Brazil.
Really not suprised how crazy this silly season has been given who had intionally started it
You mentioned coffee in your video and every advert on your videos is now for coffee machines
Is the Sauber/Audi marketing department comatose or something? Announcing this at the Brazilian GP would have been the easist bit of promo/goodwill gathering anyone's ever had in F1.
O contrato é com a AUDI, sería desrespeitoso com os atuais pilotos Sauber além do contrato com a MCLaren que termina no final deste ano...
Lawson should be promoted to the main team, Colapinto signed to RB and Perez is sent packing. One can wish.
Colapinto is more valuable to Williams than Sainz is because of the finacial backing alone, they'd be smarter to sell Carlos to Red Bull to let him compete in a Championship challenger while building the team around Franco.
I was really hoping Mick Schumacher would get the second Audi seat. Sad news.
F1 2026 is going to be very exciting.
Just put Sainz in the red bull and Colapinto into the Williams for the 2025
They should have signed him at the get go, just trespass their dads from any team facilities, lol!
Would it not make more sense to bin Alex and keep Franco ? Then you have one Sr driver and one Jr driver
Why the hell didn't RB pick up Sainz?
Don't want to admit they shouldn't have got rid of him
There could be a few reasons, he might have insisted on some surety that he would not be a number 2 driver while they wouldn't give it. Or they didn't want to give a long term contract, that is a reason he didn't consider Mercedes. Or he just wants more money than they are willing to give.
Max's father and Carlos' father are blood enemies, drama RB doesn't need. Also, Marko being Marko
RB needs to drop Perez for these last three races (or demote him) and give a chance to Yuki or Lawson to prove themselves.
Redbull and Williams should make a deal to keep Colapinto at Williams and Sainz to drive with Max again
