I think you are going to love how easy these are to do. Watch each stage as the design progresses then see the disaster at the end oooops. Use all your little pieces of glass that are lying around or from broken pendants to recycle into beautiful pendants.
This is sure to inspire you with many ideas to create your own unique and stunning pendants to sell or give to family and friends or to keep for yourself. Cheap, easy pendants.

Firing schedules. These may vary depending on your kiln.:
Full fuse
260 C (500 F) to 676 C (1250 F) hold 30 mins
333 C (600 F) to 804 C (1482 F) hold 10 mins
Full to 482 C (899 F) hold 60 mins
83 C (150 F) to 371 C (700F) End
Firing schedule for Fire Polish that I use. I also use this schedule for tack fuse which gives a light tack fuse. If you want more fuse then go a little higher than 726 C.
270 C (518 F) to 535 C (995 F) Hold 20 mins
650 C (1202 F) to 726 C (1339 F) Hold 10 mins
Full to 515 C (959 F) Hold 60 mins
200 C (392 F) to 150 C (302 F) Hold 0 mins
I am from Taiwan and I like your video very much.
It gave me a lot of inspiration, thank you!
Looking forward, you can have more works published
Thank you so much for your kind comments :)
Very encouraging. Love your work and grateful that you share.
Thank you Lyn, I really appreciate you taking the time to leave this comment :)
Beautyfull idéé 👍👍❤
Thank you Ben, much appreciated :)
😲😲😲 Have I learned something!!! Thank you. I had walked away from my Microwave kiln since all my pendants were just a repeat of the same shapes. I had no idea you could use a cookie cutter in the microwave kiln 🤭 How brilliant! I do polymer clay and so I have many cutters, but I’m guessing there must be some kinds that will not work? Trial and error I would imagine? Thank you so much for this video! It has given me many new ideas😀 please post more microwave kiln videos, I’m sure like me, many can’t afford the plug in kind. Thank you Thank you 🤗
Thank you so much Heather. I really appreciate your feedback. I will be doing some more mwk videos :)
I love the teardrop shape, I have some little cookie cutters so will be trying this myself, thank you for the inspiration!
Hi Charlotte. I am pleased to have given inspiration which is my aim. Thank you for leaving a comment :)
@@ArtsandCraftsTI you are very brave too, I'd feel so nervous about putting metal in a microwave 😅 although I know you can use metal clay in a microwave 🤔
@@charlottelewis5114 Because the metal is encased in the mwk it is safe. The only reason you cant put metal in a microwave oven normally is because the microwaves bounce off the metal back into the microwave oven itself which is dangerous. In a mwk the mwk absorbs the microwaves to create the heat, they do not pass through the mwk, so do not reach the metal. I didnt know you can put metal clay in a microwave so I have learned something new from you, thank you. :)
can you show use how to make the dots please and the schedule thanks xx
Hi Deborah. If you watch video 16 you can see how I make the dots. You can use a microwave kiln or normal kiln. If you use a normal kiln you can use the full fuse firing schedule detailed in my description above. however as the pieces are small you can cut out the middle parts of the fusing and just go straight from cold to full fuse if you want 726 C (1339 F) Hold 10 mins. Hope this helps :)
Those are gorgeous! Just stunning! I am definitely getting some cookie cutters and try it.
Can you use irredescent glass? If so, how ?
Thanks so much for sharing your expertise!! 😁
Thank you Arlene for your kind comments. I dont see any reason not to use iridescent glass although I haven't tried myself. You can use the same schedule I am sure. :)
Love this! Thanks so much! Could you share a firing schedule you used for an ordinary kiln?
Hi Suz thank you for your kind comments. The schedule is in the description. Hope this helps. :)
This is great! I had been thinking about using kiln paper as a mold but then saw your cookie cutters and want to give this a shot. What type of fire paper do you use? I'm thinking this is different from the kiln paper that sits on the mwk since yours appears more paper like than the mwk kiln paper. Thank you.
Hi Margaret. Thank you for watching my video. Yes this is normal paper you put on the kiln shelf. I bought mine from Warm Glass in the UK but you can get similar from AAE glass in the USA :)
How do you grind the insides of the holey ones?
Hi Valerie. i used my grinding machine for the larger holes. For the smaller holes you can use a dremel with diamond attachment or you can buy hand held diamond sanding pads. Hope this helps :)
@@ArtsandCraftsTI what sort of grinder do you have because mine I don't see how as you can't get the piece behind it. Thanky
@@valeriecuan4189 I had a Kirstall grinder which you can see at this video ua-cam.com/video/ARa0aBA-oIE/v-deo.html timeframe 7.23. :)
Absolutely lovely. Curious...how do you put a bail on the pendant?
Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated. In my video 11 I show how I glue my bails and the various options you have. HOpe it helps :)
Beautiful site, wow i have been totally misinformed i was told i could not use any type of mold in the micro-ware kiln, the ones used for the regular kiln like clay ones, i have never seem anyone use a metal cookie cutter in the microwave kiln, thank you so very much for your knowledge .🙂 What is your watt on your microwave mine is 900 watts thank you
Hello Sunshine M, thank you for your kind comments. Because the metal is encased in the mwk it is safe. The only reason you cant put metal in a microwave oven normally is because the microwaves bounce off the metal back into the microwave oven itself which is dangerous. In a mwk the mwk absorbs the microwaves to create the heat, they do not pass through the mwk, so do not reach the metal. My microwave oven is very old but I think it is 800 watts. Hope this helps :)
😊really like your video, can you tell me were you buy the kin
Thank you for your kind comments. I bought it a long time ago and I think it was from Warm Glass in the UK because I live in Europe. :)
@@ArtsandCraftsTI thank you 😊, l live USA
Hi I was wondering if you could explain how it was safe to use metal in your microwave please? Is it a special microwave in some way, or are the cookie cutters a special metal x
Hi Linda, thanks for your enquiry. Hope this helps :)
What is fire polish can it be done in the microwave kiln?
Hi. Yes it can be done in the mwk. To fire polish in my microwave kiln I fuse for between 8.45 to 9 minutes. Each mwk is different. You may have to experiment a little. :)
Where did you get that scooper with the tweezers?
Hi. I cant remember but if you search beadalon tweezers with shovel you should find a supplier near to you. :)
I thought you were NOT supposed to use metal in a microwave?
Hi Therese. :)
