As an owner of X10 since it's release back in 2011, i never switch, X10 has been my main camera for almost 12 years, it's crazy how i still love it so much and i won't really change it until it's no longer works. I feel proud to be one of the early adopters of X10, i never imagined after 12 years, suddenly people are crazy about X10!!
I love my Fuji X10 and take it everywhere as a creative EDC. The film sims are pretty good especially the black and whites! Great vid Aaron! I hope you do more with this little beast!
This camera has been on my list for sometime now! I have lost the desire for the x100v. Now its these small point and shoot for 7-10 years ago that I enjoy shooting with the most!!
That's great news! I think I would really enjoy an updated version of this camera. Since it's old it's a bit slow to focus. And manual focus on it is a little finicky.
@@aaronsambeyfilm the af is much better than the X10, but its not the best. It’s contrast detect so it can fail pretty quick if focusing on something with little contrast.
I was able to repair an old X10 Camera that had a Focus Error, which I paid EUR90. Was able to Tear Down the camera, remove and clean the Lends Unit. Now it works perfectly and is in great condition. A great buy for EUR90. Complements my X30 and X100T. Looks better than the others, is smaller than the others, so easy to take everywhere. Love Fuji cameras in 2023.
Hey Aaron! Great and super calming video about an absolute hidden gem in digital cameras! I´m owning a Fuji x10 as well and I love it! Amazing composition/editing btw!
I really appreciate that! Thanks for the kind words. I've been bringing it with me everywhere. There's another video with the X10 on my channel as well.
I use Canon in my job as a tog / vid but wanted something with a little bit of flexibility that wouldn't cost much and was quite small, so I would throw it in a bag and use it. I agree with this video, it's not great, it has flaws, but when you get it right, it's great, it's also a fun camera to use and feels great in the hand. I've not yet messed around with 'recipes' but I'm sure I will. Overall I would say buy one if you can. Even if you don't like it, you won't lose much money. Someone will take it off your hands quick enough!
Would you say its a suitable camera as a complete beginner? I dont really have the time and energy for post editing so what really speaks to me is the film simulation, I also really want to shoot in black&white. I probably won't go out much and do street photography (maybe that will change) so the camera will mostly be used to make memories when I go on trips. Great video btw!
Absolutely. It's a great travel camera with a very low learning curve. The autofocus may be the only thing that frustrates you but you will get used to it. Happy shooting!
It's funny how much I do in LR when handling older RAW files despite there not being a huge difference in how the JPGS versus final image looks. For these images in particular I went with a more 90's Kodak Ultramax look (not sure if I achieved it) Mostly, I would say this is a good starting point: Warm up the image, move the tint green Lower highlights 20 Bump shadows 10 Lift blacks 10-20 Dehaze 5 Texture -20 Slight film curve Lower the red, green, magenta luma Lower the green, aqua, magenta Up the yellow hue 20 Up the green hue 20 Everything else is just minor tweaks.

Any tips with this camera? I bought one a year ago but just started using it. I mainly shoot street photo but also want to use it to shoot my kids.
Exactly the same boat, I’ve had tonnes of much “better” cameras come and go, but I’ll never let go of my beloved X10

Heck yeah! The old cameras are so much fun and have far less pressure!
The x-10 through x-30 are marvelous cameras. My X-30 is the perfect travel camera.

I sold my X10 (regret it) simply bc the af was so bad. I have the X30 and love and edc, but the X10 design is so much more beautiful.
@@segzeeman7356 I'd like to try out an X30. I don't know anyone who has it. His is the AF?

I had mine stolen in italy 8 years ago and bought just one off ebay for 50€. it’s such a great camera.
This was awesome Aaron! love the approach with the subtitles! First time seeing that. It really works!
The video is a work of art. X10 for the win.

I love to hear that. It's such a cool little camera. I need to take it out more.
Hello! What was the problem with your camera? My camera also sometimes has a focusing error, will replacing the lens cable help?

Nice video, it really describes the camera feel perfectly!!
Loved this video so much 🫶
Thanks a lot!
End of 2023, my Fuji X10 still going strong.
I just sold mine to an eager new photographer. I miss it a little, already. But I'm very set up with my XE4/XT5 for work.
My X20 is my favourite digital camera ever, I use it in preference to my X-E3

Hey great video! Ialso own a x10 but I'm still searching for the right "vintage" settings. Could you please share some with us? Would be Great!
Lets go: Highlights +1, Shadows +2, Color +1, Sharpness +1, Noisereduktion -2, DR400, Whitebalance Shift +3 Red, -4 Blue
any film sim recipe recommendations for this camera? love the size and simplicity of this camera, not a ton of recipes online though.
Oh man, yeah it is limited. I keep my custom 1 as a monochrome with +2 shadows, and my custom 2 as Astia, -2 shadows, -2 highlights, R+2, B-2
I have the x100v, but I still enjoy taking my x10 out once in a while. It’s challenging, but also fun to shoot with.
I'm a big fan of the X100V. I have an XE4 as my main street camera and it's a blast, too.
El mejor video que he visto!!!

i had the x20 and loved it until the zoom mechanism jammed and broke. the x10/x20/x30 cameras are almost perfect
wait, RAF is not compatible with Davinci Resolve. Did you edit it in Jpeg?
I edited the raw photos in Lightroom.
May I ask if the video was shoot by the FUJI cam?
I‘m really thinking about buying this cam in 2023 for 280€ but I’m not sure if it’s worth it.
Hey! The footage was filmed on an OSMO Pocket.
Juicy video! Please share your film simulation recipes, it would be very interesting :)

How do you stabilize it? Do you also use other accesories? How about the audio?
Edit: I was flabbergasted. I thought you used the camera to film!😂

I have this camera and wanted to watch your video but had to turn it off for the truly terrible music.
Watch it on mute with subtitles. Chillhop is not for everyone.
