Mick’s hair excellence. 😁 I have so much love for Conan’s band selections. He had the Reverend Horton Heat, Eagles of Death Metal, and of course, Queens of the Stone Age on his his show. If I would have seen this when it aired, my jaw would have been on the floor the whole time. Conan is about 6’5”.
Yes, that hair! Even back then! I read something similar in the comments for this original video about how Conan has all kinds of bands on his show. :)
When you do the studio version of Gently, you'll definitely have to follow it up with the live version from the Disasterpieces DVD from London in 2002. It's really, really, cool.
Ahahha just the simple fact to have such kind of music in a show is so cool. That périod was fantastic (end of 90s begining of 00s) ! I remember that slipknot went on a FR TV show called "nulle part ailleurs" back in 1999 or 2000 for their first album they played SIC and Wait and Bleed ! My grand brother recorded their performance and watched them again and again. I was a 9 years old boy and I remember that I was really scared by them , stopping the vidéo everytime ahah a few years later, when i was around 14, 15 years old, I discovered their self titled CD in a box when we moved and start being a maggot ! Now we are both listening slipknot and went together to two slipknot concerts in Genèva and Lyon ! Good old times ! Keep on good word Lauren ! Bless from Macon, France !
That was really awesome! I've never seen that performance before. It's good to know that Pinocchio never disappoints with the nose fap, even on network TV.
I would have loved to be in the audience for this. Just to see their reactions. 🤣🤣🤣 (And I'm typing this as you just said the exact thing. Great minds...)
If you liked this one, you should watch "the blister exists" live at Jimmy Kimmel. It's pure chaos and one of my personal favorites lives performances from them
@@MusicCatsandCoffee that happened at download 2009 but the video mentioned above is one of the best from slipknot... u know 9 dudes cramped on a tiny stage going ham what could go wrong!!!
Haha! That was fun! So many guys crammed onto that little stage! It seemed like the audience really enjoyed them. Screw those people who complain about too much or too little of a band. If they don't like it why even click on the video? Have a great weekend, Lauren! : )
That moment during the breakdown where the cameraman starts bobbing the camera in time with the headbanging...glorious. Watched this the night it aired all those many years ago!! 🤘
That's awesome!!! IF they invite rock or metal bands to tv shows like this in my country, they always play their most mellow/radio friendly songs, often ballads. Greetings from Germany
It's nuts how they got everyone on the stage. The video of Hum playing Stars live on the Howard Stern show is about the smallest space I've seen a band play in.
Great reaction! 🔥 If you haven't seen it yet, I would love to see your reaction to Clowns extended Slipknot music video he made in 2019 called "Pollution", it's beautiful and unsettling at the same time 👀
Hell yeah🤘 Screw the whiners! You can never have enough Slipknot. Always awesome seeing the old stuff with Paul and Joey tearing it up on stage. Like you said, I need to see the faces of the audience 🤣🤣
i recorded this on a vhs live lmao i remember trying to figure out the guitar tab by watching mick and jim, it had such an odd timing for my 14 year old head. good times.
i definitely knew beforehand they were gonna be on the show so i assume some people in the audience did too. they definitely pop big at the end either way.
I forget exactly the song, but apparently they were told to play something else that would be more tv friendly and played the Heretic Anthem anyways lol
Conan O'Brien is the reason Jay Weinberg met Slipknot. His dad, Max, was the drummer for Conan's band on the show.
Apparently Clown said that I'd doesn't matter if it's a crowd of 50,000 or 5...They will rock just as hard
I love that

Still one of the most epic late night show performances in history.
I remember watching this live. It was crazy that a band this heavy was on tv.
And playing their heaviest song.
Slipknot at its best.👌🏽 Love this video.
This drummer.. And Poul.. REMEMBER FOREVER✊✊✊👊from Russia, for sure ✊
Fuuuuuuuck, I remember when this was on live television at 12:30pm that fateful night. We were HYPE. Cant wait to see you enjoy this haha

Thanks for sharing! :)
Lauren I love how you quietly sang along to the lyrics that was so cool.
I LOVE this song! :)
@@MusicCatsandCoffee Me too I blast that song in my car

What a suprise! More bonus videos, we love it!

Good performance but Kimmel is definitely no Conan!!!!!!
the only bad thing about the video is the quality but yeah its absolute chaos on stage
Is this the video when Pinocchio's drum falls apart??

Also Lauren, if you like Slipknot, and Conan, you should check out the Slipnutz....
I just have to say this you look very cute singing along to the song since you know it!
Just saw slipknot live on Wednesday and my god was it an amazing show
I totally remember watching this the first time it aired! I was pleasantly surprised. From then on I considered Conan the King of Late Night. \m/
Great content! I recommend you take a look at the mini concert they did for the BBC recently, it's so much fun!
There were a few talk show hosts back in the day showing pretty exclusively rock/metal bands.
It's nuts how they got everyone on the stage. The video of Hum playing Stars live on the Howard Stern show is about the smallest space I've seen a band play in.
So, yeah, THAT was the Conan show to go see lol
Great reaction! 🔥

Watch more lives performances
This is Revolution! Nothing not to like in this vid.
Conan really did have the best bands. Jimmy Kimmel's no slouch either. Definitely takes me back.
I forget exactly the song, but apparently they were told to play something else that would be more tv friendly and played the Heretic Anthem anyways lol
Probably left behind, the most "radio friendly" track they had in the album
@@t1ag217 that or my plague
Conan is the man. I love how he chose the angriest, anti-music industry friendly song on the album to play live LOL.
awesome
Different times back then.
I needed a good kick in the ass today ty
Check out Korn and Slipknot covering Sabotage sometime
Imagine the preshow warm up..??!!!😝💪💪😉😈💂👮👼👺🙈🙉🙊💩
you should watch wait and bleed live on conan aswell if you havent already
I honestly prefer the album version of the SFW version because it's more aggressive and more intense than on the COB show
This was my first viewing I didn’t Conan was into music like that.
React to three nil live Aol Sessions
😂🤣
have you noticed Corey is like 4 foot 2?
Do what you want. Bring me tacos.
Wait. I thought YOU were bringing ME tacos.
This Slipknot performance inspired Slipknot's drummer to play drums. What kind of Inception nonsense even is that statement?
How dare you make the videos you want? You act like it's your channel or something, lol
I know, right??? :)
@@MusicCatsandCoffee some people like to complain just to complain. You keep kickin' names and taking ass.
