Can’t wait for the Rhydon run. It probably won’t be for a while but Rhydon is fascinating in that it’s a physical attacker and gets almost all of the good special moves, and even better, gets rock slide early
It has no Special whatsoever, so using special moves is a horrible idea. Not to mention it's extremely slow, and 4x weak to water and grass. Even neutral special attacks take a lot, so it'll take lots of overleveling to win with it.
@@handanyldzhan9232 Again, I do think that was the point of the statement. It's a weird design choice that they gave it all the good special moves with no stat to use them, and the original comment was saying the run would be interesting to see because of how terrible it is, I assume. Now the low speed and special is absolutely going to hold it back, as its solid hp stat isn't going to be enough to save it from something like a 4x super-effective Hydro Pump, but I do think it will perform better than one might expect.

Solid arguments on both sides here, and an interesting read! I can't believe I'm still learning new things about old Pokémon 22 years after getting my first game..
I agree 100% with all your thoughts on the single pokemon challenge videos (with exceptions of course like the emerald nuzlocke awhile back). Something about having the one pokemon from start to finish and then being able to determine its ranking on the leaderboard is a great formula for these kinds of series. Anyways keep up the great work man! Month of Jrose letsgoooooo!
loving this and your content. I'm still holding my breath for you to do a Farfetch'd run and prove to the world why he's the best Pokemon of all time. Please do that soon so I don't pass out 😵
I see you’re getting *A LOT* of views on these videos so I sincerely hope you’re absolutely raking in the dough. After all of the work you’ve been putting in you definitely deserve it. Thank you mate
Fun video as always! Personally, I prefer shorter(ish) episodes of singular pokemon. I like the focus it puts on them, and the video doesn't feel like it's dragging.
"A *fair* bit smoother" "fair bit" meaning significantly. Not a little, but also not a lot, but worth mentioning. Loving all the videos, thanks for posting
I think the single combined episode for Nidorans was absolutely appropriate and I think in the spirit of those Pokemon. I also think it made sense at the time given your insane upload schedule then. For middle stage evolutions, I'm really curious how you're going to do them since they are kind of similar to two Pokemon and there's a fair number of them to get through. I also kind of prefer the shorter videos as hour long odyssee's where half the video is the same six battles is fine every now and again, but can be a little much if it's constantly. These short and sharp videos are fun. I also got a real frenetic energy in this video that was so cute to see.
I think you should do the Nidorino/Nidorina runs back to back or in parallel and once they are done look at how much you have to say for each, if they justify their own video or if they are mostly the same.
Between those Nidoking and Nidoqueen, your the real king for making one video a day! To asnwer your question, for me, I love shorter vidéos since It remove the repetitive of some fights sometimes but your narration is so good that, even if they are longer, I will still watch them!
You've started something here Jrose there's no getting out of it with double videos. We want you to beat this game with every single pokemon. We're expecting 150 videos for every Pokemon
I prefer the single episode runs! I know other channels do the double and I still watch them but I come to you for the style of video you do and I think your commentary style alone doesn't need the gimmick of doubling up! In the long run I'd rather you do what you prefer though as it is always quality viewing!
I wanna see individual episodes. I think it's better to process and look at for me. Your challenge runs and style I think work better focused on one particular Pokémon imo. If you did do stuff like that it would be fine but I like watching the one Pokémon and thinking about it while watching knowing you are gonna have issues with a particular fight or lack of moves. That's way more fun for me with just one.
Random comment, but I think it's really cool how there is this line of Pokemon content creators that all seem to be really helpful and it's created a really cool zone on UA-cam. Think Jrose11 is a big part of that. It seems like they all kind of pass it on as well.
MAD LAD respect levels here! This must be maddening to be "weezing" this badly to a critical freeze VS exeggutor. Also funny since the Winters approach as well :3 High quality content going for a pokémon at a time instead of putting 2+ mons in parallel
I don't see how not healing saves a ton of time. It takes like 15 seconds of in game time to heal. Being out of PP and taking a lot longer in battles takes much more time.
Vid is kinda old but if you do see this Jrose. I like the long episodes, around an hour. I know its more editing for you and commentary. But its cool to see a lot of what you did; your victory's and loses and how you over came them or the clutch luck, and your insight and comedy that you add to it all. I like seeing how Pokemon I never used fair. I was heavy into Pokemon back in the Gameboy Pocket/Color/Advance/SP days with my friends. So its cool to see someone still smashing on what started it all.
So that's why Rival 3 was in the Pokémon tower. At 7:20 you squashed his Raticate to death, so he laid it to rest. LOL! I love these videos. Keep up the great work JRoae.
Idk why I love the custom matching color palettes and background/frame so much, they're always so good looking! Even if it's a rather understated change
Pokemon I love to see including Starmie, Exeggutor (both top tier pokemon competitvely), Magmar vs Electabuzz (Battle), and Golem vs Rhydon (battle too)
This was indeed an interesting run. I personally always liked Nidoqueen just a bit better than Nidoking since it does have the extra defense and hp which Nidoking doesn't have so I honestly thought it would give it the edge in this Solo run. But anyways! I actually really preferred this style over the Nidoran male/female double video you did in the past. It just feels more focused and more fun to watch even though I liked that video too. Anyways keep up the amazing work as usual Jrose! I can't wait to see more of your awesome content this month!
Just a heads up: there's a spoiler in the way you present the list at the end. The ranks are already adjusted (4 SKIP 6), so you can tell Nidoqueen will be 5. Love the videos!
Jrose every video: The ether economy is in shambles, they are very limited and I cannot grind the elite four because I run out immediately Also Jrose: I didnt heal because my nuts are huge so i casually popped an ether and violated rival 2
I would love to see Nidorino and Nidorina go head to head. I’m actually a fan of the longer vids because they’re more gripping! But in the end as the content creator the choice is yours and I’m sure we’ll love the video(s) either way, I know I will!!!
"Why didn't you do a double episode?" Because he's doing 30 friggin episodes in one month. Of course he doesn't want to put 2 episodes worth of content into one when his schedule is packed.

I mean Poliwhirl would probably sweep lance with a single amnesia but Lorelei's Dewgong could lower it's attack both with growl and aurora beam which might make slowbro, Jynx and Lapras kind of annoying.
I could be wrong, I guess we'll wait and see but I feel certain that Poliwrath would outpace Poliwhirl until Poliwhirl learns Amnesia and that might be enough for it to win a solo race.
Solid arguments on both sides here, and an interesting read! I can't believe I'm still learning new things about old Pokémon 22 years after getting my first game..
It also just wasn't because of what he said, but also because Poliwhirl actually has 20 more speed than Poliwrath.
Fun fact: "nido" 二度 in weeaboo means "twice" 🧐
i like the amount of content you've been releasing lately
I agree 100% with all your thoughts on the single pokemon challenge videos (with exceptions of course like the emerald nuzlocke awhile back).
Something about having the one pokemon from start to finish and then being able to determine its ranking on the leaderboard is a great formula for these kinds of series.
Anyways keep up the great work man! Month of Jrose letsgoooooo!
22:34 - LMAO your excitement from the Freeze was funny AF!
loving this and your content.
Man, the game really did just decide to roll over and die after that last Giovanni battle. I've never seen such a crazy lucky series of events
I must say, the daily videos this month have been of the utmost quality. I enjoy the challenge variety!
I actually cannot comprehend Nidoqueen's back sprite. Like, what am I even looking at lmfao
Yes! Yes! Yes! I was looking forward to this ome! Keep the videos up! ❤
A split screen video would be really cool. So we can see second for second how a similar Pokemons differences make it!
theres a mew under the truck by the S.S. Anne, way better stats than Nidoqueen and Nidoking
When i hear "middle Evolution" i also hear "kadabra Is the new gastly/Mewtwo"
You are such a legend for doing this month long thing. These videos are really helping me get through the worst time of year for me.
I really like the single episodes. Easier to jump into, easier to re-watch, easier to digest!
Fun video as always! Personally, I prefer shorter(ish) episodes of singular pokemon. I like the focus it puts on them, and the video doesn't feel like it's dragging.
"A *fair* bit smoother"
"fair bit" meaning significantly. Not a little, but also not a lot, but worth mentioning.
Loving all the videos, thanks for posting
love these videos bro keep it up
Jrose is a MAD man! Love the daily videos
The Mega Man X style remixes are so good, I love those games so much, just as much as pokemon.
Queen/Charles for the names continues proving your names are just as S-tier as these runs!
I can't deal with how good it is to have a new Jrose video every day!
11:11 love the multi elemental/physical rival 4 wombo combo❕ YAS QUEEN❕
Loving you doing so many of these runs back to back to back, hope you're doing well!
I think you should do the Nidorino/Nidorina runs back to back or in parallel and once they are done look at how much you have to say for each, if they justify their own video or if they are mostly the same.
Jrose you are and absolute machine pumping out all these quality videos
I am so happy you are popping off this hard with the daily vids. I can only hope your sanity is still there
Bro, thank you so much for this content-flood! You’ve been a part of my daily routine for such a long time now 👊
Stay safe brother and keep it up ✌️
Loving this montage of videos you’re putting by out, love your content Jrose :)
You're videos are seriously so much fun to watch!! Would you do an Arbok run? It's one of my favorites and gets overlooked a lot of feel like. Thanks
I must have missed the Nidoking video. The last one I saw was Weedle, and Nidoqueen is a refreshing change of pace!
Nidoking was the one before Weedle.
Haha, great thumb nail! Absolutely loving all the content, keep up the good work!
Random comment, but I think it's really cool how there is this line of Pokemon content creators that all seem to be really helpful and it's created a really cool zone on UA-cam. Think Jrose11 is a big part of that. It seems like they all kind of pass it on as well.
Almost at the halfway point JRose! You're doing good work and I think you can keep it up for another 2 weeks!
MAD LAD respect levels here! This must be maddening to be "weezing" this badly to a critical freeze VS exeggutor. Also funny since the Winters approach as well :3
High quality content going for a pokémon at a time instead of putting 2+ mons in parallel
I don't see how not healing saves a ton of time. It takes like 15 seconds of in game time to heal. Being out of PP and taking a lot longer in battles takes much more time.
U gotta go to the pkmn center and then back track again
Set a speed run record and you'll understand
Thanks for all the new content. They’re all good videos too!
That clutch freeze. Wow. What a run!!
Always enjoy the content & prefer single pokemon episodes. Thanks for the consistent uploads!
Disagree. the 20-25 min episodes are the better length IMO
Lol fair bit smoother. Just has surgery today so month of jrose is timed perfectly! Ty for your hard work
Yeahh middle evolutions!!!!! Do all 151 Pokes (besides the impossible) and then do all 151 again in yellow pls 🤣
So we all have gen 1 vids for ages 😇🥰
Pokemon I love to see including Starmie, Exeggutor (both top tier pokemon competitvely), Magmar vs Electabuzz (Battle), and Golem vs Rhydon (battle too)
Im gonna be so sad after this month ends, thanks for all the good work!
As far as splitting up episodes do what makes you happy I just enjoy the videos you make
This was indeed an interesting run. I can't wait to see more of your awesome content this month!
uff, i also watch scotts thoughts and you both put out a lot of content these days. have to watch it when i have spare time ^^
Wow what a lucky run, those freezes and that crit against the Alakazam after reflect were so clutch, great video Jrose
Just a heads up: there's a spoiler in the way you present the list at the end. The ranks are already adjusted (4 SKIP 6), so you can tell Nidoqueen will be 5.
Love the videos!
Jrose every video: The ether economy is in shambles, they are very limited and I cannot grind the elite four because I run out immediately
Also Jrose: I didnt heal because my nuts are huge so i casually popped an ether and violated rival 2
never got to your vid that fast ^^ 26 seconds after upload
Was waiting for this. Cheers.
Liked because, well I like all your vids but especially for the yaaaas Queen! Slay
The way you do your videos, I trust your judgment. I'll watch pretty much no matter what!
I like how you split it up! I like the longer episodes though but certainly I like how you split it all up!
I love seeing how the music has evolved over the course of this series.
I prefer single videos. Keep it up JR! I'm enjoying the full month of vids :)
Apologies for not commenting on every video in this gen1 journey but God bless you for doing this.
I would love to see Nidorino and Nidorina go head to head. I’m actually a fan of the longer vids because they’re more gripping! But in the end as the content creator the choice is yours and I’m sure we’ll love the video(s) either way, I know I will!!!
"Why didn't you do a double episode?"
Because he's doing 30 friggin episodes in one month. Of course he doesn't want to put 2 episodes worth of content into one when his schedule is packed.
lmao ya also that
