The parents have a part to play in these children's poor decisions. So many single mothers carry the guilt of seeing their children suffer without their fathers. She let her daughter chase that boy around out of guilt.
It is not as easy as her mother "let" her daughter chase around that boy. Sometimes you cant control your kids and the more you control them, the worse it became. I used to represent my boss to do some charitable works for orphanage homes. I found out that 90% of the children are not totally orphaned. They loss 1 parent, but they still have another one, mostly a mother with no dad. Their mothers send them there because they have gotten so out of control that if they stayed with them, the kids will completely be ruined by the time they turned 18. These are single mothers who have to work 2 if not 3 jobs just to make ends meet. So they had no choice but to send them to these orphanages. At least they have structure, they have to go school, and probably with less expenses and less stress to deal with. The mom can focus on the other child more. So it is easy to say, these moms let their daughters became like that. The truth is, they cant even control their kids anymore after a certain age. How do u control your kids and monitor them if you have to work 13,14,15 hours per day?
That's what is called bad mother. I'm a single mother and without guilt for my sperm donor decisions on his child. A male role model should be a good man. My father was model for my child. White society keeps women down pushing marriage and family units which have nothing to do with real world.

This situation is bizarrely similar to my own family, even with the name of the friend, my sibling is very unstable and is living in this arrangement at the age of 35, and it’s so bad that our dad is now giving money to the mother of the friend to support my sibling in the house.
As a single mom, it is so annoying to hear women use "single mom" as an excuse for things.
These young ladies don't look 16. Ladies slow down with the lifestyle or you'll look 50 before you're 30.
My parents were very strict but they were loving, caring and taught me right from wrong. Thanks to them I turned into an independent and responsible adult.
Nick's parents need to quit sticking their nose in another parents' disciplining?
Nick's parents need to stop being their son's best friend and tell him no more people. Did JJ say that there was a married daughter with her husband also?
I don’t know that they stick their nose in as much as they are super permissive and let every Tom, Dick and Harry who shows up crash at their house. The dad is gone a lot as a trucker so it’s probably the mom.
@@maryrodger5130 there was a kid on my street that had a home like that. After the dad had enough and left, people started moving in and the mom had no control over her son. The kids staying there were doing drugs and bringing crime into our once quiet street. My bro was getting caught up in that crap and it was tearing my family apart. We were so glad when they finally left on their own.
@@Kaboomboo I'm in my 70's now but back in the early 80's a man down the block sons began to disappear so I asked him what was going on. His answer to me was that on their 18th birthdays the sons knew they had to leave home. I asked why his response what that was how he was raised in the south. He said 18 y/o boys thought they were men and that there could only be one in the house. But years after his death, we noticed that these grown men were slowly moving back in, the mother was older and had allowed them back in! Some drank and others did drugs and none of them worked. The mother was getting food donations from her church! The father was right to show them the door. Where I'm from the parents can lose their home. Here's hoping your brother is doing better.
@@maryrodger5130 Yup. A lot of comments on here are saying she's a bad mother. But I disagree. Based on what she said, she was trying her best. Judy recognized this, that's why she doesn't chastise the mother as harshly because she knows a bad kid will just be a bad kid. It's one thing if you're willing to just wash your hands of your kid, it's another to explicitly enable them. Mom wasn't encouraging her daughter to do any of those things, hence why she put her in therapy and called the police several times. The mother in your story seems to be enabling them at every turn.
OMG!!!!! 16 and an attitude like this. What the heck happened to 'sweet' 16? Tattooed, great decision making Mum. Bad parenting has nothing to do with being a single parent, it's due to being a slack parent!
Drugs, the answer is drugs, it's the thing they are not talking about but is definitely part of the situation
There’s nothing better you can do for your child than giving them a structured, secure, life.
They're the type who don't need an ID for clubs/drinks 😱
Trap houses are a big magnet for wayward teens
Darling you key my car and you will think Rodney king was a verbal warning when I'm done!😅😅
Classic tale of the current generation.
This episode is like 8 years old
Classic tale of terrible parents of the older generation
A 16 year old living on her own with a nasty attitude who have the audacity to ask JJ that question
Hello there, how are you?
"Yeah." 👀
A big flop house with an owner/parent who doesn’t care and doesn’t know how to put their foot down. Everyone has been to one of those houses at some point in their lives.
I, too, loathe "yeah" or "nah" instead of "yes" or "no."
Judge Judy please do a reaction video to amber Heard case loll
Hello there Kyle, how are you?
16 and looks like 35. At 16 I Iooked 11 and understood my place as a CHILD. Allowing your child to have men at 16 is sickening. Loose mother. .
The big problame makers in this household are Nick and his mom. The father try his best day and night but his wife and this guy Nick are not responsible enough.
Agreed!
Why does the plaintiff look like that???? Goodness!
So sad, some children are a lost cause. Heart breaking
16??!!! She look like she is in her twenties!!
