You are right with the 55 and I think Jeanneau have designed quite a remarkable yacht with that one. I wouldn’t be surprised if the rest of the fleet is redesigned over time.
I would like to get my hands on a Sirius, emails are being sent out so you never know maybe in the new year. We had a great Christmas thank you, and have a festive New Year.
Wow, this is more to a home than boat :) Amazing headroom on the aft suites! Decent engine room, nice social area. i liked that, althought this boat seems focused on charter market, it is not an "all social spaced" interior. The cabins are very decent, you can really spend time there should you want. Thanks for the review! See you on the next!
It is like a home and yes with all the extra cabin options she is definitely for the charter market, it is an easy yacht to walk around and relax in. Have a great new year.
Lovely little cabin for the kids? You obviously don't sail a Contessa! It is palacial and then some😃. Another great video of a boat that I can't afford but enjoyable to dream. If I had a lottery win I would still be calling Mr Hallberg though. Merry Christmas and keep up the good work.
That’s the thing if you win the lottery I am in the same mind as you, there are other options out there for 1.7 million and that’s just the starting price for this boat. Merry Christmas to you and have a great new year.
Great review! It would be nice to see a Swan sometime and i don`t think the roof will fall down on you in a Swan...But it probebly costs as 2-3 Jeanneau! If you are going to boat Düsseldorf i think Swan has an 58 there. My favorite of your reviews is X-yachts 4.0 that is my dreamboat!!!
Swan had a boat at BOOT last year I just didn't have the time to look at it, This year it is a must as they build some of the best yachts in the world or arguably some of the most beautiful. 🤩😁😍X-yachts as I am sure you know have a new model out this year so hoping to get a look at that, I know Toby Hodges has had a gander.
on plan, the aft cabin looks big but I wonder in 5 years when some of these have finished their time in charter if a twin cabin can be converted into an aft single?
I am sorry but I don’t work for Jeanneau so I can’t comment on the availability of their yachts. I am sorry I can’t be of more help Edward and thank you for taking the time to watch the video.
Hey Sarah, Why are u not in Aussie on a Maxi as the Skipper Woman, Syd to Hobart bloody Awesome stuff, only problem is the extra handicap the boat would have on her with u being aboard, I mean someone of ur Sailing Calibre, we gotta make the playing field Fair🤣😂😆. The French boat is in about 5 right now. Vessel tracker Rolex. Mate great vlog, I get more an more jealous with every magic boat u bring us, thanks for all ur really hard work because well someone's gotta do it!!! And ur the Best Woman for the Job, hope U, Leigh, Abi have a great New Year with unreal Sailing Adventures. Lots Respect Karlene xxx Go Law Connect
We have been watching the race live thanks to UA-cam, this year is a cracker talk about getting hit with bad weather. I love the Sydney to Hobart and thought about crewing on one of the clipper boats but there is a list.😩 maybe we can get an opportunity one day with a private yacht? Glad you like the video,🤩😘
It's not bad, but the fact they insist on making these yachts with completely exposed helms is just a massive fail for me. And charging a fortune to hang a bit of cheap plastic around them isn't the right answer either. Just needs better design all around. Aside from a champagne sailing day, nobody wants to be stuck at a helm like that in inclement or rough weather. The interior design actually makes the boat look cramped as well, which is saying something on a 65-foot monohull. I dunno. I'd call this one a definite miss, but I'm sure someone needs a dock queen to impress their friends.
Seems the don't like bits can be easily dealt with for any actual order ? Sorry am a bit late taking a good look at this, as this isn't my size of Modern Sailboats - generally mid 40 feet of really wide Beam Sailboats, for me is plenty big enough - and Frankly, if I was attracted to this size Sailboat, choosing between this and the Beneteau Oceanis 60 would be an extremely difficult choice, and the 175 hp inboard Diesel might just swing it to this, thoughthe Oceanis having a decently oversized Yanmar is actually fine. Tough call tbh. Great Tour as usual. Bob. 👍🌟🌟🌟❤️
totally agree with you. and so many little details that look so bad (chip in deck, crap sealant on the bath platform, stains on the outside table, bad insulation on the outside shower etc, i cant count the number of crappy details that doesn't do any favour to Jeanneau's brand. And i won't even comment on the interior. So yes a big fail. Give me a Amel 60 any days or a 50 for that matter. No brainer, if you sail you want a protected helm. this is far too exposed.
Thank you again for another detailed review. Love your work. I'm quite keen on lifting centerboard monohulls... I have looked at and priced Jenanneau's Sun Odyssey Range. Not impressed with the build quality or the cost once optioned up.
Great Tour of a surprisingly interesting Sailboat. tbh, for me this is better for living aboard than the 55, andI even prefer it to the eneteau Oceanis 60, which was a bit of a shock . Accommodation Cabins, Good access to things, and that Aft Saloon Galley, are major plus points, and the only minuses which I'd change with an order anyway, are Split Cockpit Tables - hindering rapid access to emergency stuff in Cockpit lockers, and needed strong support when heading to the Companionway for me - and replacing safety wires on the side decks with Tubular Stainless steel, plus a few more inboard handholds - oh and no Timber on deck white nonslip for the Tropics thanks. My fussing about with looking after deck woodwork days are over. Not that Idever consider buying a Sailbut this large tbh. My Total Sailboat love is for the Great Sweetspots in the Sub 50 feet boat lengths, and Monohulls just because Catamarans Really Hate Me, no matter how much I have liked them , starting with the Prout models going way back. Doesn't matter who makes them they all hate me. 😅😅😅 Hoping everyone is having a Wonderful Christmas. Boxing Day got a bit wrecked, because the Labrador and the Cairn Terrier Scoffed all of the Remaining Mince Pies between them just before anyone woke up. I overdid the after Christmas Dinner Christmas present Limoncello and was still out for the Count. 😅❤❤❤
That’s the fun thing with Christmas everyone buys enough food and drink for an entire year yet we try and eat it all in two days flat consuming more alcohol than the Tory party in Covid lock down.
The Second, closer look still left me impressed by this boat tbh. There's some amazing deals on the Sun odyssey 490 with some large discounts, and I suspect even larger discounts on well specced new boats are likely to be around after my Piggybank has filled up enough to go boat shopping. 🤔 Best Wishes. Bob. 👍🌟🌟🌟❤️
Just seems to be missing a day head for guests not staying aboard. To me the main draw card of a cat Vs mono is the outside social area which Jeanneau have solved with this huge cockpit, but a little helm protection would be nice. That said, still a lovely looking yacht, I’ll take the shallow draft in titanium please lol
WOW. That ceiling thing hanging off, the wrinkles in the leatherhead board and the misaligned units in the power cabinet make this boat look really slap-dashed. Still, I would have done what you did too: tried to fix it if possible.
I love you tours. Small quibble, as a yacht designer, I'm really not into this popular new term "Mono-cat." Its just design development to address how people taste and usage has changed over time.
Can't say it floats my boat really so I guess I am very lucky then that I can't afford one :) Would rather have my beach club on the land.. It's the kind of boat that aspiring Jeffrey Epstein's will buy into.. Are we sure the mast is not a pole?! :)
Great review🎉
Thank you 😁
I do think that were I set on Jeanneau for this size yacht, I'd probably go with the 55. It has so many smart ideas packed into it.
You are right with the 55 and I think Jeanneau have designed quite a remarkable yacht with that one. I wouldn’t be surprised if the rest of the fleet is redesigned over time.
Thanks again for a great tour....no "bollockings" from me 😅.
Would love to see your take on a Sirius DS. X
Hope you and yours had a great Chrimbo x

@@SVTONICBoatWives a new year full of wind, sailing, and all the joy you're looking for! Fair winds and all the best!

Beautiful boat! Would love to see the aft center stateroom option.
I would to we are hoping for next year to see an owner version,
I love your videos. You're reviews are enriched by your obvious extensive experience & ;knowledge . 🇬🇧
Thank you
Nice bit of day snoring going on there love.
It's a skill to be able to sleep and function at the same time.
@@SVTONICBoatWives I can’t do either at any time.
Innovation over Revolution ... beautiful cockpit layout, I'd prefer the full beam aft master

Great presentation. Are there any Jeanneau 65's available presently? I'm looking seriously at Jeanneau 64's. please let me know. Thanks, Edward

For the price I’d say it’s ok. Nice room and nice configuration. Skimpy on the details (quality, mostly)

Thank you for your work. But you always filmed too close too objects so We cannot See how big the boat really is.
I agree that the space and layout compete with a catamaran. However, for east coast USA and Bahamas, the draft is untenable
Real comfort starts from 20m, navy blue accents are brilliant!
VIP is better than owner's.
Loose ceiling panel in a boat you're having videod for UA-cam doesn't say much for quality 😮
Meh... They're meant to be removable and at a show, people fiddle with everything. I wouldn't read too much into it.
I was a little surprised but these things happen, people do pull these boats apart at the shows so they do get punished a little.
Can't say it floats my boat really so I guess I am very lucky then that I can't afford one :) Would rather have my beach club on the land.. It's the kind of boat that aspiring Jeffrey Epstein's will buy into.. Are we sure the mast is not a pole?! :)
