Call Me Mother is one of my all time favorite group numbers, a major plus for any number where they look like they had fun or moved by the piece, and they look like they had a blast.
I haven’t watched the show in forever, then the Call Me Mother routine popped up in my feed. I’m a huge RPDR fan. And I wasn’t surprised Mark choreographed it. Going from Season 4, to Gaga’s principle dancer, and a dancer on Drag Race (which I’m sure is how they got rights to use the song). I love whenever voguing is brought more into the mainstream. And fanography? Hello! Yaaaaasssssss!
Wow Call me mother was too good! Super fab and fierce. Throughout the whole thing I was like “work it bitchhhess!!!” Totally gives you those Janet Jackson/Paula Abdul/Madonna 80s Vogue-esque vibes.. absolutely loved that choreo!
Hyper-Ballad is super special to me. It feels like a story about things like Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, as well as grief groups. It's super powerful and important, showing all the pain and healing that goes on
While I was a bit disappointed by the choreographies this season, I have to say that as far as the group numbers go, the choreographers really brought their A game. I adore all of these 7 routines. I especially appreciate originality in a routine, and these have a lot of it.
Oana I completely agree, and as much as I love the all stars, I want to go back to the original format. I like seeing more contestants on the show when the live episodes start. And for some reason I feel like the dances are better when the contestants are paired up with each other.
Frankly, with just these seven, Nigel will get two or three Emmy nominations, and that's got to count for something, what with the season's average rating hovering a little bit over 1.07 in the demo; at least being on Mondays, they're not getting their heads handed to them by America's Got Talent or World of Dance (relative to the summer champion last year, _Game of Thrones,_ with a 6.0 in the demo).
All these comments-are a shout out to Mark Kanemura (S4) the choreographer of Call Me Mother…not at all surprised to see him bring drag/house/ball style to the stage. Represent! 🌈
I came here after watching him on Very Delta after the Born This Way ball in Johannesburg, South Africa... I was at the same airport as all the dancers and band and got to talk to Mark and the rest of them all, honestly a moment I'll never forget.
The choreographer of the Call Me Mother piece , Mark Kanemura, is also the one who made the pride video or himself pulling the different colored wigs off!!
See this is real dancing not the floss or the shoot or the woah real emotion with your dancing but dancers have to incorporate the kiddie dancing to their routines to stay relevant in the world not the dance world
@@OanaLebedov no way! is that really her?! goodness. it barely looks like her. I thought she was on dancing with the stars by that point... but alright! thanks so much!
But see, therein lies the problem. It shouldn't matter what color they are. White or black. Sad that people think it's OK to make racist statements if it's about white people. We'll never get to true equality until the dialogue changes. When it's not "black people " white people" "Asian people ", it's just "people". ✌God bless
Kahl a that wasn't even a racist statement. Its the truth. Its weird to have maya angelous words of all people to be danced to by nonblack people as a form of some message.
“Call me mother” one of my favorite, that Robert solo at the beginning slasyyy my life 👨🏽🎤💜
Robert deserves the world!
Rob was feeling it

One of the best seasons of SYTYCD hands down 🙌🏽
season 14 had consistently spectacular large group dances
The choreography, costuming and production were all top notch this season. Looking forward to what's in store for Season 15.

SEAN CHEESMAN IS THE MOST UNDERRATED CHOREOGRAPHER OF ALL TIME (still I rise choreographer and all the afro jazz routines)
This my favorite season.
I was wondering how Call Me Mother didn't make it to #1 but after seeing that piece, I understand. Great list.
CALL ME MOTHA
Call Me Mother is fucking insane, best is history of the show.
Yea I never thought any could ever top ramala bang bang
Totally agree on number 1 :)
Brian Friedman is choreo goals.
I rise powerful

My eye always goes to Robert Roldan. ⭐
Still waiting for a new season. When, god damn it!!??
09:45

That's the routine that brought me here

#4 screams Wade Robson choreo.
The plastic german evolutionarily fasten because hurricane laparoscopically chew without a nutritious hyacinth. reminiscent, hollow george
Le it
Why are a bunch of white people dancing to Maya Angelou?
Pj Ross 2 of them are asian
Point taken, but still... You catch my drift
Was a wee baffled by that too
