- These are in my opinion, the 20 best group routines of all 16 seasons of So You Think You Can Dance. I hope you enjoy them.
Also, I apologize for the bad quality, but it's the best I could find.

Wade's musicality is so incredibly good. He is the type of choreographer that makes you hear songs differently... in a more complete way. You see the dancers moving to parts of the song that you hadn't even noticed before.
I apologize for #16, I had to cut out the sound due to a copyright strike.
Could not get enough of this show back in the day! Nice to have a concentrated look at these amazing routines.
On This Bitter Earth makes me sob crying every time. It's just so breathtaking and beautiful and melancholy
Loved Seasons 2 through 7 most. I miss this show so much. Many favorites here.
There have been so many seasons now of this show. Maybe its because the show is way different now than it was back in the early years, but after season 11 I pretty much lost interest. But I still love to watch the group numbers especially and be reminded of the past routines that I had forgotten about. Seasons 4 and 5 are my favorites, I always go back and forth on which one is the best but I think they were both equally as good. I still follow a lot of the dancers from those 2 seasons. And to me, those seasons had some of the best group numbers in the entire history of the show. Of course there are other awesome routines from other seasons, but every time I want to watch some old SYTYCD numbers, I start with those 2 seasons. But videos like this can show me other group dances that I never saw, so thanks for that!
I still get chills watching #14...one of the best seasons on the show!! My favorite seasons are 2-7...those group of dancers were the creme-de la-creme of dance!!

Clever, creative, innovative, genius routines executed with amazing technicality in every dance. However, the ones designed by Mia Michaels and Sonya Tayeh/Christopher Scott were my favorites. Bravo to all.
Love the old stage and season 4. Camera work was closer and more detailed on face expressions too.
omg again you are reading my mind! I kept thinking that I hoped that one finale S9 dance that was a collab with Christopher Scott and Sonya would be included (one of the first times I remembered choreos from different styles working on a group dance together) - and then it literally popped up at the end! Torn is one of my fave all time group dances - Amber esp is SO STRONG in it, and I was really happy she got that moment after Nigel was a total dipsh*t to her as a contestant. That group routine is perhaps second to Eyes that year, which you also show!! Again that dance never gets love I feel like, but I remember it so distinctly - it made me sooooo excited for S9, it was just such a mesmerizing song and routine. The moment when they start run leaping across the stage still gives me chills. Amazing list!
Season 17 is missing this kind of genious

The latter seasons get a lot of hate but Amen was soooo good! I loved all three of them and Bailey was incredible! That dance made me feel so much and does every time I watch it. Depending on what is happening in my life it moves me in a different way but never fails to make me feel!!! Talia Favia did great! (16:01)

I think whoever choreographed #15 had been waiting to have a professional level ballet dancer for a while cuz that routine is hard and you match the beauty of what it honestly one of my favorite songs of all time, Max Richter's On The Nature of Daylight. Alex did a brilliant job. The other 2 were clearly struggling a bit, but I can't blame them at all. This was a hard routine. I wish they made a full ballet out of Max Richter's music. It would be perfect for that.
Rama Lama is still a favorite. The nightclub gang fight is so memorable too.
Jacob & Elinore, Melanie and anyone MT favorites. I'd also like to see the best audition compilation too. Some of the BEST didn't make the show.
When it comes to these kinds of lists you can never go wrong. It all depends on what kinds of routines personally resonate with you 😁😁😁😁❤❤❤❤
Great clips but my all time favorite was in season 2 by Wade "Ramalama". I felt like Mia tried to do her rendition in the later season that is on your list.
Torn is my absolute favorite

My all time fave group routine is Ramalama. So sad that it didn't make this list!

The song 'torn' for the one group dance was the song for the showcase dance on high strung!!!! So super awesome😊😊😒😒😍😍😍

The first two numbers (#20 and #19) were by far superior! And I loved the one with no sound. Too bad we couldn’t hear it.

UA-cam censors the music when it’s copyrighted by certain groups. They don’t do it with all songs, but some companies have contracts with UA-cam that doesn’t allow their music to be played under any circumstances.

This years SYTYCD sucks. No group dancing at the end of every show
using flamenco music but not a single flamenco dance move... capitalizing off of an art form's culture without giving any respect to the culture itself. yikes!
The entire shows were better than this current 2022 borefest of music, choreography, judges, camera work, bland stage. Watched e v e r y show since season 1. Done after this one. Even Cait more subdued.
Some of these are really cringey cultural appropriation
No one was trippin like that years ago, and some are really nicely appreciated because dancing is a form of art and expression.
No some people complained but no one was listening then. I assume you're talking about the Janet Jackson number choreographed by Wade Robeson. He was married to an Asian woman at the time so I guess he thought it was OK. It is actually one of my personal favorites
