Get a new alternator and empty out all of the oil and gasoline as well. In old cars, an old gas tank will make your car not wanna start and run sluggish. She’s probably leaking oil or coolant on the inside as well. Not necessarily on the pavement. You get what I mean.

In the beginning you should’ve pulled the speakers and disconnected it from there you’d be able to save the wires

Not true I got a resilient sound platinum 18” and the sound waves are aggressive. People always say 12s hit deeper or cleaner that’s bull shit. At the stop light when I hear someone’s 12s I laugh honestly. And if the 18 u had connected don’t sound good it was probly cheap, in the wrong box and provly didn’t even have a quarter of the power it needed

he probably didnt set the gains right, causing the coils to get hot and burn

You may have had the polarity backwards on one sub. Also your battery could be dying due to a bad amp turn on wire install. Amps power light should turn off when key is out of ignition 🤙🏾

It sounds like ur subs just have a loose dust cap the center part of the speaker.. u can use fiberglass resin or gorilla glue to stick it back together

A bro just an fyi not all speakers are the same. Your kickers could have been wired to a lower ohm than your Rockford thats why it sounds like that
Id put 4 12s in there, the 12s hit harder but the 15s have that low bass. You hear the harder bass (the 12s) farther than you do the low bass(the 15s)
sound perception is different , yes 4 12’s will sounder louder because it’s higher HZ. my 15’ hits 25hz , you can’t hear it but I can make hair move inside my car. it’s all about what you want but at the same time if you got a serious system you would deaden your car so it doesn’t rattle as much

Take it to a quality auto technician they fixed everything and check ur alternator the wires in the back might be melted.
