Such a great game for only 30 bucks. A little short but it has replayability with combat sim and the soundtrack is just so good. Also for anyone wondering, the name translates to sea cucumber².
The Ashtray Maze in Control is one of the most badass sequences in a game. Once you figure out how to get through it, and the music kicks in, it's amazing. I remember after going through it, I felt kind of sad because I was never going to experience it for the first time ever again. And as a bonus, I think at the end of the maze, Jesse even says, "That was badass!"
No for real it was something I was desperately curious about my first play through and I remember the first time I went though I was smiling the entire time
The Batman games are so good at making you feel like Batman. Can be stealthy but if you want to take on 20 people at once you can. Such good games. Also Falcon is a real one ☝️
The first AC game I played was brotherhood and I have to say once you build up your brotherhood even though it made the game easy there calling them in and watching them take out a big group of enemies and then just disappearing was badass, satisfying, and made me feel like the Godfather of assassins.😂
What I found satisfying in Ghost of Tsushima is when you start a confrontation, succeed with the first enemy, and then successfully take down 4 other enemies in the midst of this confrontation by hitting the attack button at the right time.
The Mikiri Counter is cool but the most Badass moment in Sekiro must be the lightnin return move. Image you jumpin up, delibery takin a lightnin strike on your head only to use it to emppowering you and do a counter slash that do massive lightinin damage and leave the boss in paralyze. Make it even better with the thunder strike sound effect.
The only problem with the Lightning Reversal is there really aren't a lot of opportunities to use it. Only two endgame bosses even have lightning abilities, right?
The fact that you don't have RDR2 burning down the Braithwaite Manor on this list is insane.....arguably the most cinematic and badass moment in gaming history EDIT: the gameplay video of that one mission alone has 3.3+ million views...
The ride up in a triangle shape, of all the men in the group, going through the manor with the sawn off shotgun and head shotting everyone and then burning the home down 😊
The airport shootout while HEALTH’s “Tears” plays in the background is the best part of Max Payne 3 followed by the sequence in the club near the beginning of the game
I've spent a couple hundred hours playing Max Payne 3 back in the day, and that airport finale made me go "Yippie-ka-yay mother-****er" every time I beat it 😁😁😁
Activating *bullet-time* for the first time in Max Payne is "The most badass moment in Videogaming." That one function made Remedy Studios into a household name overnight.
Please make a video on just how painfully overlooked max payne 3 is. It came out at the same time as another game and was almost instantly forgotten but it had seamless transitions, no loading screens at all, an incredible atmosphere and story. That airport scene still remains one of my favourite moments in gaming.
disappointed that the "Effect and Cause" level from Titanfall 2 isn't on here - that whole level is just soooo bad ass - warping between times to take down enemies and pull off some inventive parkour. If you make a sequel to this list, it should be on it!
Love it when you bring up souls games or the like. It’s you know you’re not the best but not the worst either. You’re also not afraid to get in there and beat the games. It’s what the games are all about for most of the community and we salute you for it Falcon
Mad Max comes to mind for me in these, when you're taking on enemies you can often counter their attacks and open them up for a beat down, stab or shotty blast, even against groups of enemies it's quite satisfying to counter every one of them before laying them all out.
One of my most satisfying moments in video games is in the Yakuza series. When you perfectly Tiger Drop (counter move) enemies consecutively one after another is one of my favorite badass moments.
It's especially badass when you listen to the lyrics in that shootout in Max Payne 3. "Love, save us once. Beware what you want. Trust us now. It's time to let me go. Give up on us. Follow what you want." It's pretty much the ghost of Max's wife telling him to keep on living instead of burying himself in regret and tears for the ones he lost.
God, max payne 3 airport is the sickest video game moment. Ive sung the praises of that moment to many people who will sadly never play it. The music intensity stepping up to its fullest form and having vocals for i believe the first time in the game is legendary.
Great list! If you guys (and bird) ever make a part 2 of this, i’d be surprised if the moment in Control where you gain the ability to levitate and the badass metal music starts blaring as you fly around around shredding the Hiss to bits doesn’t make the list of badassery. You finally start to feel more awesome and in “Control” . 😛🤘🏻
Most badass moment for me is in Splinter Cell: Conviction towards the end. Sam Fisher goes on a rampage after a certain point, and the way it's worked into the gameplay is for a short time you're able to instantly execute any enemy you come across. Sam goes from a stealthy spy to a a walking catastrophe, it's incredible.
The most epic and satisfying experience is surviving the last storm in Frostpunk. The sound track "The City Must Survive" hands down immense the experience of hope, struggle, facing adversary and at the same time holding on faith during hopeless time
Anytime in Control when you shoot an enemy across your body and simultaneously telekinect-throw a weapon across the OTHER side of your body is SUCH a badass feeling.
Personal Nominations: Chase Breakers from Assassins Creed Brotherhoods Multiplayer: Man it was so fun to parkour run around the map and when someones in hot pursuit of you, you activate a chase breaker to take a short and gain some distance or cut off their path Days Gone Zombie Hordes: Loved the gameplay. It was super fun, and Im glad they had added challenges like this so if you wanted you could specifically just do these if you unlocked them. Gathering hordes of Freakers and just running and avoiding them was super fun, but finding ways to actually decimate them was insanely badass and satisfying. The AoE Super Moves of pretty much any game like Prototype, Infamous, etc.: Being able to get to a point in the game where you are attacked by multiple enemies, and you are just like "Okay. Im done with this. *SMASH*". And then just wipe out an entire neighborhood block worth of enemies felt sooooo good Batman Arkham Combat Challenges: Not just the stealth was super amazing and was Gotham Knights was sorely lacking among other things, but the combat challenges in the Arkham games, and being able to get so good that you chain combos up to the hundreds while avoiding all enemies hits and getting up so high in the multiplier than your punches and kicks now 1-hit KO people was just cheffs kiss.
For me it will always be Twilight Princess' Mortal Draw. First time I learned to use it properly as a kid and realized it one shotted enemies was mind blowing. That's when I learned that sometimes high risk high reward type moves are worth it and worth putting in the time to learn the skill for execution.
Rage 2 is hard to master, but it has a suite of flashy, yet meaty moves that combined with the chunky guns, feels incredible. The Overdrive mechanic lets you trigger a rage state, with enhanced abilities that alters you and your guns, that will end after a few moments. But if you’re good enough, you can keep it going with quick, consecutive kills, and before you know it, you’ll have cleared the entire Bandit camp. Very satisfying, because you have to be in the flow state to do it.
The first Tomb Raider of the new generation had tons of badass moments. There were some that I thought: "well, such a badass cinematic scene must mean that this is the end of the game" but I was only halfway through.
I’m not an AC guy so I’m surprised Falcon went with that for parkour instead of Dying Light or Mirror’s Edge. And ESPECIALLY Dying Light when (if) you manage to evade a volatile, running across rooftops, at night. THAT is some top-tier bad-assery!
The best moment from Batman is the thug who can scan your Detective Vision to find your location. If you stand behind him and keep Detective Vision on, you'll get special dialogue and, I believe, special animations.
A few I’d mention: the main set pieces in the uncharted games, killing Nemesis with the rail gun in the RE3 remake, the big score in GTAV, the eikon fights in FF16, and using infected to clear out groups of enemies in the last of us games.
When Doomguy meets fellow humans and watching their reactions. I always thought that was a badass moment in Doom, beacuse they are all in awe, but it´s also quite hilarious :)
In the game Shadow Tactics (a Japanese spin on the Desperados games) one of your characters is a massive former samurai who has this sword spin move that kills anyone in it's AOE. Once in a great while you will get two groups of patrolling guards that pass each other at the same time and you can instantly take out like 10 guys at once. It is incredible to pull off because the rest of the game is slowly taking out enemies one at a time.
Max Payne games. I had almost forgotten about them. I used to play these in my childhood. Absolutely great games. Edit. I have an Xbox Series S these days and I noticed that Max Payne's are in the store. Does it still make sense to buy these in 2023?
most satisfying for me was raiden parrying rays blade and yeeting him into the air while rules of nature plays in the background in metal gear rising..just pure fire🔥🔥🔥
Nailed it with the AC parkour, especially Unity. I'd free run around the map of those games for ages as a kid. Ghost of Tsushima also has a few other badass things like standoffs and ghost stance.
One of the best satisfying moments I remember is finishing off an enemy in the Dragonball Budokai Tenkaichi series games with one of the powerful energy techniques (Super Kamehameha, Genkidama etc) would make the planet you were fighting on EXPLODE
What makes the Airport Sequence in Max Payne 3 so good is the fact, that Max kind of finds back to his self, as he was trying through out the game not getting into deep with the brazilian gang bangers coupled with the song Tears by HEALTH.
Far cry 4, the mission where you infiltrate the small airbase and it ends with the guy escaping in the small plane and you have to sprint to the quad bike, chase the plane down the runway, off the cliff, open your wingsuit and glide to the plane, open the door, grab the document and chuck a grenade in then jump off and flip him the bird just as the plane explodes. That was a badass moment 😁
This one was one of the most personal lists from Falcon. Enjoyed it a lot. I would also add: (1) double/triple headshots from Sniper Elites series, (2) syncing with Quiet in tactical combat in MGS V, (3) Taking down convoys in sandstorms of Mad Max and (4) Rope dart kills from AC:Black flag to this list
the mikiri counter in sekiro was the coolest thing in the whole game to me perfect #2 spot i was thinking of it the whole time. whenever i described how much of a badass sekiro was i listed the fact he literally stomps on their weapon.
What is the number 7 game called? Gameranx should include the names of the games in the video for non English speakers like me. Difficult to understand.
I dunno if this qualifies as badass next to all these buff, muscular dudes, but the last level of Celeste… maybe qualifies! After struggling to climb a mountain and battle your own anxiety for six levels, you’ve finally conquered your demons and proceed to surmount the entire mountain in a single, extended sequence drawing on everything you’ve learned while an inspiring theme plays. I sure felt like a badass and was very satisfied!
Going deathless across the Kowloon district roofs in Black Ops 1 with that KILLER soundtrack going, aptly named Rooftops... It's one of the best CoD moments ever
2:40 "fica parado aí meu" wich is brazillian portuguese to "stop right there dude". Don't know why you guys are using dubbed PT-BR game footage, but I loved it!
The mechanics of badassery in Shadow Of Mordor outshines Ghost of Tsushima for me. When you really start to get your powers unlocked and you can butcher orcs by sneaking up on them and brutalizing them with multiple lethal stabs.. and the remaining orcs flee in terror. That's a fun feeling in gaming.
I would like to add Splinter Cell Blacklist, getting multiple kills without using the Mark-and-Execute feature. And Wildlands, getting a group to investigate a flare only to pop them with headshots. There was one time I popped like four bad guys with a pistol from like forty yards away.
This reminds me of that one mission in Splinter Cell Conviction where Sam Fishers goes into a rage mode. A dope soundtrack starts playing-the power in the building starts shutting off due to all the explosions, soldiers are breaking in through the rooftops and windows-The operator is frantically speaking on the earpiece and Sam(the player), completely unbothered by the chaos just proceeds to Father the entire fkng building via headshot execution. Shit was sooooo sweet🤙🏾
The game for number 7 is Trepang 2 for those like myself who couldn’t really understand falcon on that part
THANK YOU! I was googling different variations of what he said for 20 min to no avail lol
Thank you soooo much 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Was scouring the comments section for this after 15 minutes of fruitless Googling. THANK YOU!
Such a great game for only 30 bucks. A little short but it has replayability with combat sim and the soundtrack is just so good. Also for anyone wondering, the name translates to sea cucumber².
Thank god, the fact that they don't list the freaking games is infuriating sometimes. I just wasted 10 min looking for "trapping 2"
Ashtray maze is one of the biggest reasons I'd replay Control.
No for real it was something I was desperately curious about my first play through and I remember the first time I went though I was smiling the entire time
Came here to say the same. The Ashtray Maze is mind blowingly awesome.
I haven’t even watched this video yet but I came to the comments to mention Ashtray Maze needs to be at the top of this list
Damn I forgot about how good this was
The Batman games are so good at making you feel like Batman. Can be stealthy but if you want to take on 20 people at once you can. Such good games. Also Falcon is a real one ☝️
Batman: "I am not in danger, Gordon. I AM THE DANGER!"
Rocksteady is the GOAT for the batman games
I think any perfect parry mechanic is so satisfying. It feels amazing every time you nail it. You really feel like the main character afterward.
👍🏼
Exactly! Once I mastered Witcher 3’s parry, the fun factor jumped enormously!
John DiMaggio as Marcus Fenix was the absolute best voice casting decision for a video game character in history.
Dimaggio is a legend
They just nailed it, even the actor for the dub in Spanish (latam) is legendary
I agree. Also, Troy Baker as Joel in The Last of Us is definitely right up there with John DiMaggio.
Roger Clarke
as Arthur Morgan >
👍🏼
The first AC game I played was brotherhood and I have to say once you build up your brotherhood even though it made the game easy there calling them in and watching them take out a big group of enemies and then just disappearing was badass, satisfying, and made me feel like the Godfather of assassins.😂
Best game of the series
brotherhood and revelations have this, and was awesome in both of them
I love Brotherhood. It will always be one of the best in the series
Forgot about this! U could walk slowly down a street, press one button, and have ur assassins take out onlooking guards. Felt like a cinematic 😅
What I found satisfying in Ghost of Tsushima is when you start a confrontation, succeed with the first enemy, and then successfully take down 4 other enemies in the midst of this confrontation by hitting the attack button at the right time.
I loved doin that, did that to at least 70% of all confrontations in the game after acquiring it 😅😂
Same. I loved doing it
Ive gotten every achievement for the game, the whole thing was badass
@@scubasteve7850Me too. I got my plat three years ago. It was so worth it because it was fun. I still love this game
"I won't miss..." - my boy Rusty
“You’re out of luck. There’s only one person that can keep up with me”
damn near creamed my pants after that
Pocket Sand! You were talking about Shackleford right?
The Mikiri Counter is cool but the most Badass moment in Sekiro must be the lightnin return move. Make it even better with the thunder strike sound effect.
much better is the Sakura Dance lighting return, coz it's a 360 lighting return and Sekiro takes no damage lol
The only problem with the Lightning Reversal is there really aren't a lot of opportunities to use it. Only two endgame bosses even have lightning abilities, right?
@@Amins88 fountainhead palace enemies has lightning, even the dogs there have lightning

The ride up in a triangle shape, of all the men in the group, going through the manor with the sawn off shotgun and head shotting everyone and then burning the home down 😊
1:03 was the least satisfying QuickDraw I’ve ever seen mann 🤣
Should also include Cyberpunk's "Don't Fear the Reaper" ending, that one is the most badass game sequences in a long time.
👍🏼
The Yakuza's Badass Heat actions and Especially pulling the iconic Tiger Drop is some of the most satisfying moment in gaming tbh.
The airport shootout while HEALTH’s “Tears” plays in the background is the best part of Max Payne 3 followed by the sequence in the club near the beginning of the game
I've spent a couple hundred hours playing Max Payne 3 back in the day, and that airport finale made me go "Yippie-ka-yay mother-****er" every time I beat it 😁😁😁
The last scene before we got into the car and chased Victor Branco was satisfying as hell.
In max Payne 3 Airport mission if you walk back the music starts over if you move forward the music does too. This mission is amazing.
Arkham Knights Batmobile entrance scene..
“Evening the Odds” was very badass in my opinion.
For Ghost of Tsushima, one of the most satisfying things is the animation where you flick the blood off your sword before sheathing it.
Always love doing it
Activating *bullet-time* for the first time in Max Payne is "The most badass moment in Videogaming." That one function made Remedy Studios into a household name overnight.

Love the topic. Horizon Zero Dawn is chock full of badass moments, but taking down my first Thunderjaw probably takes the cake.
I second that 👏🏾
It's actually so darn satisfying when you learn you can break the little door on its side that gives you access to the Thunderjaw's 'heart' weakpoint.
👍🏼
First time I played the airport mission Max Payne 3 I had legit chills. By far my favorite moment.
👍🏼
Love the gunplay and pyshics of Max Payne 3. Great game
👍🏼
disappointed that the "Effect and Cause" level from Titanfall 2 isn't on here - that whole level is just soooo bad ass - warping between times to take down enemies and pull off some inventive parkour. If you make a sequel to this list, it should be on it!
Any time you call for Titanfall is so badass. The "Standby for titanfall" and the sound of your Titan entering the atmosphere is so fucking cool.
Love it when you bring up souls games or the like. It’s you know you’re not the best but not the worst either. You’re also not afraid to get in there and beat the games. It’s what the games are all about for most of the community and we salute you for it Falcon
what is the name for the game in number 7 ?
Same, he said it in a way that you can't hear name of the game properly😂
Trepang2
Trepang 2. Badass shoot em up indie game with fear like slow mo and gore. Only a couple hours long, but awesome mindless fun.
Max Payne 3 is so awesome. I personally think it may be one of the most underrated games of all time because it gets overshadowed by GTA and RDR.
Mad Max comes to mind for me in these, when you're taking on enemies you can often counter their attacks and open them up for a beat down, stab or shotty blast, even against groups of enemies it's quite satisfying to counter every one of them before laying them all out.
I liked knocking them over rails but it annoyed me how it was a scripted animation
The Sifu finishing move is perfection
Max Payne 3 airport part was fucking sick. The music playing and guns going off everywhere. Perfection.
One of my most satisfying moments in video games is in the Yakuza series. When you perfectly Tiger Drop (counter move) enemies consecutively one after another is one of my favorite badass moments.

I love those moments where you feel like the badass that you see in cutscenes
Sifu is a challenging game, but mastering moves to the point youre taking 3, 4, 5 people out in flowing combos is beautiful.
👍🏼
God, max payne 3 airport is the sickest video game moment. Ive sung the praises of that moment to many people who will sadly never play it. The music intensity stepping up to its fullest form and having vocals for i believe the first time in the game is legendary.

I didnt expect Batman to be #1 but it deserves it, I loved Batman as a kid and that game really brought it home for me. I love that game.
"Batman punch looks not stupid it looks awesome." top quote 2023.
Hacking NPC's in Cyberpunk, where it becomes contagious, killing everyone around them without them noticing you're even there. That's satisfying, too!

The titan fights in Sonic Frontiers were very badass. Especially the 3rd one.
I'm surprised that Doom 2016 or Doom eternal wasn't on here. It's so satisfying when you just dominate thru a area.
You know the MC is a badass when they start getting serious.
