Awesome, mate! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us! You’ve helping me a lot with my play.. Luke and Dann… they are also my favourites… I’ve been enjoying a lot that legacy series of yours
Thanks, John! I will, for sure! I'm working on a Session Heroes course right now but soon as I've nailed that down I'll be back to making full-length player episodes again!
Marco Gardini Thanks Marco! The demo at the start would have been a Rockett Pedals Animal OD through a clean amp, the “in the room” stuff is a Kemper using a Diezel VH4 profile.
Theory in practice. .. Just trying to keep up with your commentary really helps with my comprehension of theoretical terminology, as applied in practice. … Thanks for sharing.
The wild thing is that the end jam and solo was spontanius take when Toto recorded the song. Great break Down and playing. I missed the wide bends thougt,-2 hole tones.
Thanks Fabrizio! The opening example is a Rockett Pedals Animal OD into probably a Suhr Badger (but set totally clean), the "in the room" stuff was actually my Kemper set to a Diezel profile. The Friedman stuff is great too but the Diezel sounds a little bit more focused.
I watch tonnes of guitar videos and this is one of the best, clearest and coolest tutorials I’ve seen for ages! Thanks a lot for the great ideas 👍🏻
That's made my day- thanks man!
Brilliant! I'm slowly going through all of these, they're all so good, thank you!
That's great to hear, man! Thanks so much!
Also, your tone here is absolutely dead on! Just killer!
Thanks John!
Gee, you're fun to watch and very good explaining! all the bass-t from kayo
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that!
As a young lad I wanted to play like Luke. Not much has changed 😄🤷♂️ Accessible & inspiring as always, keep up the great work, Richard!
Ah bless you, man - I really appreciate that! And yes, I think that's a pursuit we share!

Really appreciate this, Thiago - thank you, man!
Somehow, Billy Idol keeps popping into my head, now and again :)
Haha!
You always nail it, my man! Your Session Heroes videos are just pure class. Hopefully you’ll continue making new ones 🤘🏼

Thanks for this one! Luke is a beast! Amazing how intertwined he and Dann Huff were in the 80's.
Yeah man! Same with Luke and Landau- almost hard to tell them apart on certain sessions. Hard to believe so few guys just dominated the landscape!
Awesome stuff Richard! Love Dan Huff & Steve Lukather too man. You play it all di well. What’s your vibe on Neil Schon?
Neil is awesome, man! Scary good player!
Brilliant analysis here! Thanx and keep doing that. Great sound by the way. Toss us a bone: amp? Overdrive pedal? Great all around overdriven tone
Marco Gardini Thanks Marco! The demo at the start would have been a Rockett Pedals Animal OD through a clean amp, the “in the room” stuff is a Kemper using a Diezel VH4 profile.
This is wicked
Thanks Tom!

phrankus2009 Glad you’re finding it useful, thanks man!

I know, man! Can you imagine improvising something like that? Jeez!
I loved the concept... And loved the tone! What amp and pedals were you using?

Awesome rich ! 😎😎😎
Thanks man!
Can we request a tab outro solo for Rosanna?
I don't have it tabbed out but if you use the half speed function on UA-cam you'll definitely be able to pick it out!
@@RichardWatson thank you for the advice. :)
@@gitarista302 No problem!
You look like Simon from Duran Duran😊
Haha! I'll take it. Hope you're well, Brian!
