If it has a heavy taste and the oil isn't clear but too brown on the bread, leave it . I had one in Cheap Charlie's on Buakhao and was lucky to make it back to my hotel . Honestly, was crapping myself till 3pm , near wasted a day , took some medication and things settled , not risking it again .

Harry inHuaHin I guess at 64 I’ve lost alot of my mojo, and its certainly not the place of my youth, the population of many of the places I went to in 73 like Hua Hin was +/- 1500 now its like 80,000 and so dirty, I used to swim all over Thailand now many places especially in Bangkok are just open sewers. Hopefully soon the Royal Family will make a public commitment against pollution like they did with car horns and feral dogs which used to be everywhere. Thailand also used to be a more welcoming place rather then just a shake down place like now or maybe its just me getting jaded in old age.

Love afternoon fresh markets. If you can't go to morning ones, the afternoon ones are great, fill with fresh food , some meat and lots of vegetables from locals, a lot cheaper than established market.

Many of the similar large malls, like Big C, also have similar food courts, which use the same card purchasing system. The prices are also similar and of good value.

Terminal 21 Mall has some outstanding A/C too. Great looking place with a lot of architecture and objects to check out. I have never partied at night in Jomtien, but was curious about how good it could be out there.
Terminal food court is excellent taste and value - The afternoon market you went to in South Pattaya is commonly known as Flybird Market as it is across the road from Flybird Condo which is 4 large blocks predominantly lived in by Thai people / workers and me when I'm down here from Korat! + a few other Farangs but not many. The market is as authentic you will come across in Pattaya. It sells all sorts of things from household to food, oh and the new 7 is now open..

"Value" is what guides my purchases and decisions. Learning to follow this concept makes living simpler. All Terminal 21 malls have high value food courts.
Used to stay on Soi Arunotai, used to get pad Thai and large Leo beer for 35 baht. And that's when the Baht was 69baht to £1, 13 years ago. Exchange rate has killed Thailand as a cheap place to stay.

I'm kind of new to the channel so maybe you have already done this. I've spent a lot of time in Thailand over the last few years and eaten tons of streetfood but I still hardly know what any of it is. In Bangkok backstreets I just have to hold my hand up and go "1?" and see what they give me. Then a local will walk up and all of a sudden flaps are opening, rice is appearing, extra sauces, sprinkles and all sorts. I've always wanted to find an advanced streetfood guide that talks through the different options that are available if you know what to say.
Great info,thank you for sharing.The exchange rate being what it is I am certainly more budget conscious than in the past.As a drinker of spirits mostly, I am finding Thailand getting expensive.Maybe some of your viewers might be interested in where you can get good deals on spirits etc,I used to buy bottles of vodka at Korando Bàr for 1500bht which I thought was a good deal and they would keep it behind the bar for me.
As I am only in Pattaya for 3 days this trip I will not be able to go to that market, but for future times I will get a motorbike taxi each way from my hotel and buy 3 days supply to put in my fridge, not because it's cheap but because it looks different and yummy. Pattaya Daze Pier 21 food at Terminal 21 Pattaya is shitty. Terminal 21 Pier 21 food court in Bangkok is much better. More variety, quality is much better.
Me too. In each area I visit I almost feel sad when I find the food court. I know that after that I won't be trying out any local places any more, I'll just head straight for the food court! Haha, so good though :)

my experience eating fried sandwiches , just make sure the oil is clean before they fry the sandwich , otherwise you might get sick ????

I think all the Malls have Food Courts, they're all cheap, and mostly all good - perhaps avoid the ones where many of the stalls have closed down.
