About me:
I enjoy spending time outdoors and doing everything from fishing, hunting, and hiking. I love all types of knives and sharpening them until they are razor, hair popping sharp. I also enjoy helping people better understand what knives are worth buying, and how not to get ripped off. On this channel I will be helping all of you take a look at different knives and other products that are useful and worth buying. I will also teach you how I sharpen knives along with reviewing some other awesome products along the way.
Thank you for all of your support :)

$95 on sale at Cabela’s right now. Incredible value. Picked mine up today and absolutely love it.
The one you have isnt titanium nitrite coated like this one, its cerakote . Still a nice knife
Best design ever made for field dressing , and field use.
Thanks
I just picked one up as a stocking stuffer for my wife (yes, I start shopping early). She loves it and I have to say that after taking some time to check it out I'm pretty impressed so far.
I was getting ready to say… Bro, you didn’t even mention it’s literally like a dang razor blade…😂 I’ve had mine for years and I absolutely love it… Plus the forever warranty is just amazing… Buck really stands behind their products… I’ve heard people say they’ve sent their dads 50 year old knife in and get it back in like new condition. That’s just absolutely amazing to me… Thanks for the video! 💪🏼🇺🇸
I’m a new subscriber, that was an awesome review and straight to the point…😀
December 2024, I bought the factory Buck 192 off the website with a Christmas season deal along with a 631 Paklite and a free Buck mug, love the Buck sales deals. I will use the 192 Vanguard as an EDC and bushcraft knife. The Alaskan Guide versions hold a good price on Ebay as collectibles. Good video, thumbs up
I love them too.
Great knife have had one since early 2000's,have done many deer and moose with it,always razor sharp,no maintenance needed, the sheeth holds it at an angle on your belt verry comfortable
I just ordered one at Cabella's website. At a mere $20 upcharge versus the 420HC standard version of the Buck 192, this was too good for me to pass up. Aesthetically, I prefer the appearance of the uncoated 420HC blade. But I think I'll get over it. I love the rosewood handle (vs Walnut in the standard). And S35V steel ... pretty much a no brainer. This knife size is also smack dab in my preferred size for carry and use.
Good review. Wish me luck on my elk hunt. I couldn’t find my good knife so I stopped at a Cabela’s and picked one of these up in route. I got about 15 hours more to drive.
Best of luck to you, it’s a great knife!
Add a like here if you love this knife!
Always have used buck knives ive used a 110 for over 40 yrs the same knife. It was getting really loose about 10yrs ago sent it back to buck knifes for warranty they replaced the the blade and new pins no charge when I got it back it was razor sharp too no need to change brands iam a life long buck knifes user...
Great knife, my favorite all time!
Such a great knife from Buck!
Just ordered this little beauty. Thanks for the review!
This is a beauty fixed blade.
About to give mine to my nephew. It doesnt have the nice wooden handle or the leather sheath. They now come with the rubberized handle and nylon sheath. Still Alaskan Guide. I have a fillet knife my dad gave me like ten years ago that has all that. Very nice
the one I ordered from Cabela's today still has the rose wood handle and the leather sheath so idk maybe that's a Chinese made one or something strange
Just got it at a pawn shop for $100, lucky find!
I was lucky enough to get one on sale a few months ago.
How much did you get it for?
Just found one of these metal detecting, the sheath was toast but the knife looks great after I polished up the brass. I'm sure the guy who lost it was very bummed out.
I bought the alaskan guide series knife that had a gut hook and black rubber handle. I was disappointed because the brass end cap screws off and the rubber handle comes off. Does the 192 come apart like that?
That’s a great question to be honest. Mine seems like it’s on there and never coming off. I truly love the Alaskan guide series, they are great knives that have stood the test of time.
Shyt,, I missed the sale at Cabelas but I secured Buck 110 and Vantage Small Alaskan Guide,,TBH I run out of money, sooo I only need to find Large Vantage and This one…Maybe one day…
I have one but yet to process a deer with it. It's just too damn pretty. Lol. I use the old 110 buck. But it is a Lazer sharp knife and will eventually use it because it seems to be a great skinner.
Actually, cabelas has some right now. Cool
I have three buck knives. I am not a knife expert. Question. The point at the tip of each knife is not like a pin. They seem to round the point at the tip of each knife. Do you find this to be true on most buck knives? Great video thank you.
Not really, most new buck knives seem to be extremely sharp. With that said there may be some that dont come that way. Which one do you have?
@@Sweetknives I agree they're very sharp. Scary Sharp. But the point is more rounded.
Nice. Bet they’re dang near impossible to find now..
Love mine -- it's the BEST slicer I've ever used - the only thing you got wrong is it's NOT a "Heavy duty" knife it only has a small "rat tail" tang so I would NEVER baton with it. Buy a cheap $20 knife if you wanna beat it with a log or chop wood! It's a "high quality" hunting knife not a survival knife. Use this to clean game or cut meat (not thru bones though) and you'll never need another.
350-375 Canadian at cabe
las.
I’ve had this knife for 20 years handle is nice but gets slippery when you get blood on it a knurled handle or rubberized maybe micarta handle’s would be better
Looks like a bit of a show pony But being a BUCK it will be as good as it looks I have one that’s been used on Buffalo sharks deer goats lot’s of home killed beef and sheep purchased in 1984 still in use Razor sharp I own another three BUCK knives. They are the best forget the rest 🦈🐃🦌🐐🐄🐖🐏🐾🐾
I love Buck Knives, they make great stuff!
You are a knife-o-file
Are you sure it's solid wood? I'm going to upset you but Buck or the seller is fooling her customers. The handle material on all Buck knives is the very cheap DymaLux. Either walnut or rosewood just changes the pigments but solid wood is not. If you look at pictures you will see that all Buck knives have the exact same concentric circles on the same point of the handle. I don't like the guard first because of its unsightly length and also it's not rounded enough to not bother the finger. I don't like Buck's choices in steels. Will it have very soft steel or very hard, is there no middle ground? And I don't think there are many who can sharpen a knife properly let alone when the steel is S35VN. These knives without ever being remarkable sell because grandpa had it, my dad had it. Everyone had it for thirty and sixty years and it didn't suffer anything, of course in the bedside table.
This is a tough question to answer as they used many types of materials. Whatever it is, I like it a lot.
