Thinking outside of the box! Love it! Looks a more simpler creation than the Haynes kit camera! Look forward to seeing the results and finding out whether you can now truly embrace the Holga once and for all!
now that's a mean tricked out holga! love it! if I'd do anything more, it's probably give the inside of the light cone (the one at 1:35) a spray with that matt black. just remember to tape over the bits where the film touches so you don't get any scratches later.
Thank you Kollimatorn, thankfully no scratches have appeared on the film, I was a bit worried about it, but all seems good. Matt black on the cone is a good idea, only seems to have a small leak on one end now, think I just need to tape it up when film is in.
Hi Rom, I brought this of Amazon amzn.to/34SnX7o I found a lot of the longer cable releases didn't push the shutter open far enough, this short one seems to work well
@@WillGudgeon thanks, Will! you mentioned some vignetting in your videos with this camera. do you think it could be caused by the shutter not being opened all the way by the cable?
@@romyaz1713 if the vignetting is just to one side then yes it would be the shutter, but from the shutter it creates a much harder edge. Ive not had any problems myself, but have seen it on others. At 6x12 you will get some vignetting anyway, but not too much.
I hope few people followed your dysfunctional hacking skills. First, the vignetting you see on the 6x12 framing is NOT due to the plastic ring surrounding the pinhole. How can that be if, as you say, it tends to happen only on the shorter exposures? This typically happens when you use a shutter cable and the shutter doesn't fully clear the cone of light on one side. You probably only have this problem when you use a cable release because the shutter clears fine when you press and hold. Second, sawing the filter ring off the camera is dangerous (you injured yourself, right?) and unnecessary. Measure the ring diameter and find a step up ring adapter that fits the plastic lip inside or outside and carefully glue it to the existing plastic ring it it won't self-tap the plastic.
Fantastic demonstration! I'm going to give it a try. thanks for sharing!!!

Great mod Will, thanks for sharing, I'm going to try this on my Holga WPC.

@@WillGudgeon sounds great! I'll be looking forward to the next video with it :)
That's pretty slick. Great idea.
Hi Will, just thought I'd let you know that your appearance on the Lensless podcast got you a new follower today!
Thank you Ben 😊
oh, I thought the voice seemed familiar! :D
hi! After using red filter, how much EV does exposure compensation need to be increased?
3 stops
hi. which shutter cable release are you using with this camera? where can I buy one? thanks!
