After LittleBigPlanet 3 / LBP3 we haven't seen another mainline LBP game.
Sure we're getting a new spinoff title called "Sackboy A Big Adventure" for the PlayStation 5 / PS5 but it doesn't seem like the LBP4 we've been waiting for. So today I'm going back to the first LittleBigPlanet game I've ever played, LBP for the PSP.
Also, banana sackboy.
#LBP #LittleBigPlanetPSP #PSP - Ігри
So, I pronounced the studio's name wrong for the entire video... whoops :(
Well then, as an apology here's a really cool discord server link! discord.gg/8mjcwTQ
Do u wanna be my friend BlazingVictini
Yes
I've some cool comunity levels in that LBP
Little big planet is MY FAVORITE GAME but I can't play it because I had it in ps3 I have xbox
Can you tell me how you were able to play the psp version on vita? I want to relive the memories
Actually LBP PSP had some really impressive community levels. People really pushed the mechanics. People used illusions to make some fancy ideas, like teleportation, time travel, diorama-based cutscenes... and there was one that let you fly to multiple planets by controlling your ship's location in a cockpit and dropping though a tube system. Because there was no smearing, you had to corner edit to make shapes, and this resulted in people taking care to shape everything nicely, while being sloppier on LBP PS3. Plus LBP PSP had a gorgeous atmosphere that bled into these levels. I think the best are archived so you can probably try them out on an emulator. I've been meaning to for a while.
FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE WHO NOTICES THE PSP ATMOSPHERE YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
How would someone be able to download them from an archive on a psp? Would love to play them
can you please tell me how to archive community levels on an emulator?
HOW TO GET COMUNITY LEVLS
@@ggeshundra Theres a community archive for it.
At 5:49 GOD hit by a WAVE OF NOSTALGIA seeing a Playstaiton 2 section at the unnamed game store. I remember when they told me, "Yeah we're done selling Playstation 2 games so what you see here is the last of it."
🧐when did this happen
It’s insane how popular this series used to be. Sucks Sony had to milk every last bit of it. Here’s hoping it will make a resurgence on the PS5! (And that spin-off game doesn’t count).
wait which spin-off game?
@@Max-gn4rw sackboy's big adventure or whatever
StarlyteGaming honestly i don’t even wanna play it. sony milked the poor game enough already. i think the series has had a great run and that it should be left to die. (plus i don’t like the 3d aspect)
Tbh I think it looks like a nice spinoff
Though it's definitely not a real game.
I'd say buy it so Sony doesn't think it should die out
Milking it or leaving it to die?
vita was the first one I played and it is such a good game - I'm glad other people was introduced to the game on a handheld console too!
same
LBP was the only game I bought for the vita :)
(but it's not like there were a lot of games made for it...)
Retendo ok bud
Jared Gillespie Modnation Racers was also pretty fun on Vita.
My first was lbp2
I was introduced to LittleBigPlanet through LBP PSP.
Im so glad i got it.
Same. Except I played it on a psp emulator on my old phone😂 still had fun tho
Same
Same
"how much longer will the servers for LBP 1, 2, and 3 will last?"
oh my god victini
I'm sorry
The only LBP game I never owned...
Edit 1: 10:44 AHHH come on man, why do you have to break my heart with ModNation Racers 😭
Wait, that’s the very first game I have ever played
Can u do “Sackboys prehistoric moves” it’s not known as much as the other entries in the series
Edit: he's already made one now, go watch it!
I remember it, specifically because it came with the original copies of LBP2. That said, I only gave it one run, because there wasn't a whole lot to it.
Sadly, I never played the PSP version, since I never owned a PSP to begin with. But I always knew it existed, I just didn't know what it was like. This video really helped me capture that view on what it might have been like, if I had a PSP.
Same. The only time I ever played it was on an emulator. I do play LBP Vita tho
PSP version was shit compared to the vita version. But is swear to god the feeling you get from playing it is so unique and very different from the other games, I recommend you play it soon.
It’s on the PPSSPP emulator
If you have a Ps Vita, then you can play LBP PSP.
Yep. I can see so.
i miss LBP PSP
i also really miss LBP PSP's online
with how crazy some of the levels got despite the limitations are amazing
+ thanks to archives you can play over 2000 community levels on the PSP emulator PPSSPP
You can play archived levels? Wtf, I have to know where I can get them :(
Wait how can you access those archived levels?
@peis peis OMG Thanks! :O
@peis peis 5 months late but whilst that works the level archives are a bitch to set up and get working on a real psp
@peis peis i've tried them on 2 vitas and 2 psps all of which give me load failed errors and nothing will fix them
I remember the online for the PSP. While there were some amazing levels, I remember the hot page consisted of 2 types of levels:
1.)Copyable hotel-like levels. Copy the level, add your hotel room and name, and publish the level.
2.) Levels of people talking to each other, usually the names were "for:(name)"
I'm pretty sure lbp 1, 2 and 3 share the same server, but yeah, it would suck to have them shutdown.
Their servers are terrible. They may not be up for very long. If I had the money I promise you keeping those servers and this game alive would be in my top priorities
@@Thevamp1reking nah, the third has the worst servers in the entire history of gaming but the others are fine
you predicted it, but hey the servers are up again anyways
*I've got bad news for you bud*
For some reason I always fall in love with games that have focus on the community making the games
LBP PSP was such an amazing job done by Sony, in cramming the fun of a PS3 IP in a sequal for a handheld, without compromising on (almost) anything, quality wise.
.
But when I played LBP PS Vita, I was positively blown away! It seemed like _this_ was the console that the LBP series was developed for! Seemless use of touchscreen (front and back), gyroscopic platforming, even the cameras on Vita were put to use for sticker creation!
.
On Vita, LBP felt right at home.
"no signs of slowing down"
aged. like. milk.
Why nobody's talking about this video having a chapter called "Star Wars Battlefront" ☠☠
Auto generated titles be like
I’ve played this game when I was 5, one of the best games I’ve ever played in my life. It was my first lbp game and I’ve been enjoying it ever since
When I was like 7, my dad got me a psp with lbp on it. I had already played the first and second games, and had made some great memories playing them with him and my sister. Every road trip, long car ride, and really any time I was in the car, I was playing little big planet on my psp. I was practically glued to it. Little did I know at the time, i was making nostalgic memories
I'm so glad I found a guide to download dlc for the PSP game yesterday. I've never had any dlc for this game and I'm excited to play with it. Plus banana sack
Dude I've poured so many hours into LBPVita, I can't wait to see you talk about it.
"how long the LBP 1, 2, and 3 servers will last for"
Jon: This looks like a job for me
Everyone after video looks up glockenpops
I just wanna say how incredibly well edited this video is. Its a small touch but when you mentioned “Media Molecule” at 2:49 and the initials popped up on screen was a great moment.
I appreciate that the PSP game had different locales from the first game so that it can fit into the canon, if you wanted to think of the games as having a canon.
PSP version is the only LittleBigPlanet I didn't play, but I will buy it soon
Imagine buying psp games bruh
O hej to ja ssackboy z insta XD
@@twojstary6882 CO JAK TY MNIE ZNALAZŁAŚ TU X DDDDD
Play it in an emulator.
@@politonno2499 nah I will buy it on psvita
love lbp man, hopefully the series is back on the rise. great video and id love to see the lbp content you have coming.
I remember making a crap ton of characters on this version. I remember making boba fett and even some of my own characters. It was so fun. I also remember playing LSWTCS and GTA: Chinatown Wars on my psp. I thought these were the best games ever! Then i got a ps2 and thought dbzbt3 and wwe smackdown vs raw 2011 were the best games ever! Then I played more pc games and thought roblox and minecraft were the best games ever! Then I got a ps4 and I like every game we have on it!
Edit: got a better pc. I also now like every game i have on it
you are a true gamer my friend.
im glad there is someone out there still making good videos on these games :)
PSP will be always nostalgic to me. Ive got ps3, psp and some other games from my father, which sadly is alcoholic. He bought them from pawnshop. Soon my parents will have divorce. Those things are ones who keep good memories when he was chill and used to play with me and my young brother.
lbp psp was my first lbp game, then when i got a ps4, i got lbp 3
I don't know what it is about this video, but it brought back so much nostalgia from like a year ago when LBP3 was the only game I played. The thing that made me stop playing the game was the servers going down, and I know they just went back up, but I just think it's sad that they had to shut those games down, but who knows, they may come back one day...
i often come back to watch this video review, it's absolutely an amazing review.
In my opinion, LBP PSP is the dictionary definition of a good demake. Its fully faithful and just as charming.
LBP psp is my childhood. The nostalgia hit hard. It is amazing.
I love these types of videos I’m definitely subscribing
OMG! thank you for making me see sacknanna I've only played the main titles so I didn't see this good boy I low key cried tears of joy when seeing this
I was wondering when you would make this one keep up the good work
My first LBP as well, still has so much nostalgia to me, got it way before I got my PS3. I remember I created a ton of really bad levels on it but there was this thing where if you came back to levels after editing them multiple times objects would start to clip into eachother and they weren't aligned
I didn't get the game until after the servers shut down, but even without the online I still had a fun time.
So glad I got to play Little Big Planet PSP. Good memories, good times
YESSSSS NEW LBP VID
Edit: LBP PSP was my first introduction to the LBP Franchise too but i was very young and dont remember anything except a part where i was stuck and when me and my older brother got mad my younger sister for dying and losing points (i was stupid) and i also didnt know there was a create mode
my friend owned this game, i always wanted to play it but never could but then eventually he allowed me to play on his psp and had alot of fun
It’s a similar story with Modnation Racers’ PSP port. It’s theoretically the same game, with the same campaign and being able to create your own mods, karts and tracks. But races have less participants and graphics definitely took a hit. But it’s still a fun game that embodies the spirit of the series
I have a PSP, I always wanted this game as a kid. LBP on PS3 was my first game, and I also have the same PSP to this day. awesome video.
Side Note: The song at 5:14 made me think of LBP within 2 seconds of hearing it, and it totally did sound nostalgic.
I'm still in love with this game. I think it's still fun. There are people still making levels, animations, music, etc. I hope this community never dies cause its a great one.
Does anyone else remember those random people who would comment on your lbp profile and say “you said my levels are bad but look at yours” despite the fact you’ve never even seen one of the persons levels and you didn’t say anything to him?
Great video man!
i remember when i was obsessed with these games and saw this video in my recommended when i was eating dinner in 2020. time flies man
I agreed with Chris Chan though
they should have brought the psp costumes to the console version-
lbp psp was also my first lbp game ; v ; good odd times
I remember one of the story mode level descriptions was like
"Kick his big alien ass" or something like that
probably the only e rated game to say the word Ass.
Weeb?
Freaking amazing XD
To be fair the game was rated E10+ for language.
@@legometaworld2728 Odd, my copy is rated E, maybe later releases are E 10+?
"I agreed with Chris chan"
*these words have never been uttered*
This was the video I needed
Considering the PSP is a slighty weaker PS2 is actually very impressing game for the hardware. This is by far the most impressive game in the series alongside 1, and i like how still maintains that "toy like" atmosphere instead of being everything so futuristic.
LBP 2 was my first game and it was such a blast! Man I will miss those days.
I remember playing the PSP version in the car on the way home from school. Good shit.
Looking forward to you covering the Vita version. It's tied with LBP 2 as my favourite. With the built-in camera and mic, you were able to do some really cool things with create mode.
11:13 this hits hard now
Amazing video.
Edit: I looked up glockenpop, and the first note I recognized it. *100% lbp energy.*
Great Video!
that ending made me want to actually fucking cry how am i supposed to live in a world without littlebigplanet
@Miles You can just get Dreams, or purchase the new Sackboy Adventures for the PS5 when it releases.
IT'S
NOT
THE
SAME.
the first lbp I played was also the psp lbp and whenever I play that game again, even though I already know everything where everything is and how it will be, I still play and have fun, remembering the old day
I'm excited for the lbp vita video because that is my favorite lbp game!
I adored this version of the game. Played it every day going to school and coming home when I had my PSP.
Ok now this is epic
Dude so lucky to have that Darth Vader PSP! I never had a PSP but that’s the one I was willing to trade my soul for. The PSP library was incredible, sad I missed out on it
5:35 wait is that energy from apples in the stereo i LOVE THAT SONG
I legit never played it until recently. While I played the PS3 game as a kid I actually had a white DS Lite and really wanted LBP on DS.
If my bomb survival is gone, So as everything it will be gone by me.
I’ve had the blue sackboy with the comic-con shirt and yellow cap for years, it’s always been a favorite figure of mine
So you are talking about every lbp retrospective but your forgetting about one lbp game called sackboy's prehistoric moves.
The music is indeed incredible
This is one of my favorite games of all time. I used to be really into the create contests
PSP DLC can be purchased on vitas.
Can't wait for the karting video! That Game is Underrated!
BlazingVictini really predicted SackNana getting into SackBoy a big adventure
Nostalgia here bro brings back memories 😀
I wish Media Molecule Continued the Lbp series , the servers wouldn't shutdown :(
BlazingVictini : you will wake up in a world where shark survival levels, and angry birds bomb survival levels don't exist.
Me : *cough* *cough* DREAMS PS4 *cough*
10:26 that day is this year
Little big planet psp was my first introduction to the series and PlayStation as a whole
And it will always hold a special place in my heard
OH MY GOD I PLAYED THIS SUCH A LONG TIME AGO DIDIEJWKQK
I remember getting stuck on this jet pack level
I hate to say it, but...
It's actually pronounced cAYmbridge. Named after the city here in England. Aside from the painful mispronunciation, I'm glad I can share my nostalgia! Great video. :) Also, you shouldn't have to worry about the LBP 1 and 2 servers being shut down. They're all on the same server, along with LBP3 and Vita, so you can play them on newer versions of the game. Because the series has been dormant for a while, SB:ABA might be a game to get new players into the series before they drop a true sequal, meaning the levels will stay on the servers.
coming from a fan who owned the PSP version of LBP, the community moon levels were very lacking, i found one that was popular and it was just dedicated to Adventure Time cutouts.
sad the limitations really prevented much but for a PSP game, it was pretty cool.
I remember I had the psp and the game but whatever happened near the battery was unfixable and sadly had to let the psp go...
Glockenpop is nostalgic to me for two reasons. Little Big Planet and being a child in 2000s Australia.
Yes!, can't wait for Vita and Karting!
*y e s*
Dude, i remember playing this back then on psp. Only made it as far as the egg puzzle because i was stumped back then
the first console i got was the PSP and the second game i got was little big planet PSP the community was nice event though i was like 8 it seriously is fun and never though the servers shut down now i still had loads of fun with it
This game was my childhooood ❤
*sees thumbnail*
NANI??! SACKNANA WHERE DID YOU COME FROM!!??!!?
Stupid Idiot
The thumbnail is beautiful
Man I just felt the nostalgia blast
ahhhhh nostalgia
I love LBP PSP, just everything about it, the music, levels, characters, story mode, also sacknana lol, since I don’t have a psp I played it in ppsspp, this game is amazing, and so is the whole lbp series
Okay so update: you might not see this, but after this video I found my old White Darth Vader PSP (funny coincidence) and bought LBP and waited like a month for it to show up. Played it, and everything you said in this video is accurate. Felt just like LittleBigPlanet, just with one less layer and a couple tweaks here and there. Great fun.
You really put it in to perspective with the servers T_T Part of my world would break if I couldn't play the old jeff the killer survival levels and Chicken man!
I was also introduced to lbp on the psp :)
"All of which are unique [costumes] to this version". Shows store page with The Wilderness costume pack XD
The TWEWY OST at 5:30 caught me off gaurd
And here is me. Played only psp lbp.
For me it is one of those games that feels like a part of yourself. I can still remember making engines working on bombs, mazes, silly pinball... Good times.
I recognized the twewy music that was playing in the beginning at 1:49 😂
There was this one guy that made a level based on every star wars movie. And did a bunch of like easter egg hunts for prizes on the forum i was a part of. It was great
