- Overview of the new Hertz Donut MK3
The Hertz Donut is a complex digital oscillator with unison detune, programmable 3x4 modulation matrix mixer and external input. Intricate arrangements of phase distortion, thru-zero frequency modulation, and complex oscillation are instantly morphable and recallable through a voltage-controlled preset manager. Suitable for genre-targeted sequenced basslines, synthesis of stone, glass, and steel tones, and simulation of the acoustic properties of industrial machinery.

4 years since the first part of these tutorial videos for piston and donut. It would be nice if you were able to produce the other planned parts to these videos that are mentioned, but never actually released. You could still do it today since all of your modules are currently being restocked hint hint :)
After almost two years still my favorite eurorack oscillator. It's fantastic. Deep, yet simple. Thanks Scott
this and Piston Honda are crazy good
I foolishly sold my hertz donut MK3 and piston Honda MK3 a few months back to fund a PRO 3 synth... Well... The donut and piston are back. The Pro 3 is gone. For as long as I'm into eurorack, this two will always be on my rack. Freaking love them.
modular is way more fun than hardware synths
Why do you love them so? I’m in the process of buying an oscillator that I won’t grow bored of and keep forever.
Nothing compares to The Piston Honda MK3
it’s in all my patches since purchase
Hertz is a whole other monster
The Only thing i don’t like is all modules names should be Prefixed with The lol
IE : The Kermit MK3 ( oh my i can’t wait to buy this module
I’m drooling over here
@@apeirogonmusicthanks I hate it, never thought of that but now cannot unsee. They should be prefixed with The
Holy cow super amazing! Mine just arrived and well done. I am now a super fan of your modules: Hertz Donut, Bionic Lester, Kermit all fun and powerful.
Great video! Looking forward to the next one
this was super helpful...thank you! I hope you make the other videos you mentioned, too.
The pots on the mk3 modules are super nice. 😊
Those donuts look mighty tempting.
yeah I wish that Scott gave a free coupon for a box of Krispy Kreme donuts with each Hertz Donut MK3 purchase. That would be very tempting!
Still waiting for the next video
Love it! Sounds like a Nord Lead 3
LOL a Nord Lead 3 wishes
Show more of the creature, teacher.
Mines on its way.
This ain't no CZ!!
The audio input and processing gets stupid with a small block of modules. Love the mk3 even more now for the fact everything has inputs and can be cross modulated along with input parameters. Thanks for making this video
indeed major improvements in the mk3 modules
This was great - where is Hertz Donut MK3 Part 2?
Need part 6.66 too
Still no part 2 for any of these videos :(
where is the continuation of the tutorial???
Where are the rest of the videos?
Sick demo. My wallet hates you guys. Seriouly, awesome module.
donuts!
When will these be back in stock? Can't seem to get them anywhere.
I think IME is ramping up production. CTRL in Brooklyn has some hertz for pre orders in case you haven’t seen
@@darrencruz8952 Thanks. I already had one for a week, ordered it from Thomann, but I sent it back. It's not for me. Too complicated :)
This looks sick! I want it! What is some of your favorite industrial music?
3D Hair clipping's "Body and Blood" and "Wriggle"
@@milk_bath Could you recommend more, pls! Just listened to the tracks and loved it!
@@gimpking2062 Sophie's "Pony Boy" and "Faceshopping". Most of Death Grips music too.
milk bath thank you kind sir! You are a gentleman and a scholar! :)
KMFDM and Wumpscut for the win
Is this the man who does the make noise videos? Same voice
pretty sure it is not. Makenoise guy is Walker Farrell, this fellas name is Zach.
I think it might be a deliberate pastiche of make noise
how much is one of theese modules?
300-500 depending on function
A great chunk of your soul...
You can’t just have one donut, so you will eventually sell your soul to have them all.
Hertz, 🍩
used 300-400, new 500-600. Warning: IME modules are beyond complex and deep. Definitely super steep learning curve compared to basic modules.
hate to be a doodooface but im 48 seconds in and I really havent been able to understand a word so far, your voice is too quiet relative to the synth noises
If you can own 2 550 Dollar Euroracks you should be able to have heard about voice ducking
