IME instruments are suitable for realtime low art enforcement. They provide immediate access to a musically useful way of sonic control, and they directly react to physical displacement in the form of control voltages. They don’t use narrow, menu-driven user interfaces or organ keyboards, and the arrangement of the controls is memorable. Preference is given to extreme and corrupt sonic character, but the devices are naturally able to produce most sounds due to their modular, analog/digital hybrid design.
IME formerly operated as The Harvestman Digital Audio Electronics until 2015.

Industrial Music Electronics Kermit MK3 Overview
In depth demonstration of the new Kermit MK3 Quad Modulation Aid.
Kermit is a 4-channel, programmable, tempo-synchronized supermodulator with morphing wavetable generator and internal modulation matrix. Four channels operate as LFOs, audio rate oscillators (with 1v/octave response on two channels), 1-shot envelopes, random voltage generators, or sample-and-holds, all responding to manual control, external control voltages, or synchronization to the module’s master tap tempo clock, with every parameter storable as presets. External CV inputs and an internal modulation matrix provide most synthesis control and voice functions in a self-contained, programmable package. Designed for maximum patching power in small systems, Kermit has an extremely high functionality-per-HP factor and fast, recallable operation dependable in live performance.

IME Module Update Procedure: Hertz Donut MK3, Industrial Music Electronics & The Harvestman Modules
Переглядів 2,9 тис.5 років тому
Here we go over the process of updating your IME modules. The process is the same for all current IME and most of the previously released modules under The Harvestman name. This process requires a computer with the MPLab IPE software installed and a PICKit 3 or 4 programmer available here: www.amazon.com/s?k=pickit 3&ref=nb_sb_noss_2 You can download MPLab here: www.microchip.com/mplab/mplab-x-...

4 years since the first part of these tutorial videos for piston and donut. It would be nice if you were able to produce the other planned parts to these videos that are mentioned, but never actually released. You could still do it today since all of your modules are currently being restocked hint hint :)

2700 views and only 52 likes can't believe, unhappy !?, not easy sure but without this video impossible. HD-BL-PH-Kermit updated perfectly but not Zorlon no more sound
I'd like to know why channel linking / OSC sync only works on C&D but not on A and B. In the video a quadrature LFO is mentioned (which as the name suggests consists of 4 LFOs all phase shifted by 90 degrees). I don't see how this would practically be achieved with Kermit. I can set channel A as my master and put both C and D in Osc sync mode with A as the source but then I would always have to adjust B completely seperately which, especially for the precise frequency, is pretty annoying. Also I don't quite understand the difference between putting C and D in Osc sync mode with both having the A channel as source or setting C to channel A as source and D to C/D as source. The latter only results in a glitchy bpm reading on the display for me. Would really love to have OSC sync available on B as well and I think it would make total sense. If anyone shed some light here that would be much appreciated.
Its so sick that the LFO's past a certain frequency become Gnarly basses If utilized to FM another Oscillator This technique can be quite an insane tool of destruction Kermit = only your imagination limits it
14:25 I love that kind of sound Dark Beauty or a Conflict beetween good and evil
Incredible instrument 💎
alright I'll get one...
Great tutorial -- thanks for putting in the time for an in-depth explanation. At times, hard to hear your voice over the audio.
So new to modular synthesis but I can tell this would be a very useful purchase.
Merci ! I love mine so much!
Just ordered one. Been putting it off forever. Excited.
Oh-Ello!🙂
Imposible to hear whats being said without getting your ears blown out by the harsh sounds
Ordered one from Thomann a month ago (currently they're out of stock). ETA has been up and down, will we see more Lester's back in stock soon? It was looking like stock was going to be in in a week then jumped to several months... :(
This Beast and a Double Andore is a full orchestra That’s Insane
The pots on the mk3 modules are super nice. 😊
Just got one today. The first patch really made an impression on me. It’s so much more than just a filter. Cant wait to get into some complex patching.
Sick demo. My wallet hates you guys. Seriouly, awesome module.
Are these the stock waveforms that come with piston Honda?
Funky
Thanks for this, but man... please cut the music before you start narration. For those who want to skip to the non-techno-fighting-with-voiceover part it's @1:08
If you can own 2 550 Dollar Euroracks you should be able to have heard about voice ducking
want!!!
Is there going to be another line of these launched? Would love to get my hands on one of these!
Don't understand why it is necessary to put sound effects with instructions on how to update firmware. I just want to listen to the instructions.
Incredible sound demo. Makes me want to get one... d**n!
When will these be back in stock? Can't seem to get them anywhere.
I think IME is ramping up production. CTRL in Brooklyn has some hertz for pre orders in case you haven’t seen
@@darrencruz8952 Thanks. I already had one for a week, ordered it from Thomann, but I sent it back. It's not for me. Too complicated :)
Could you please update this video? When opening the MPLAB X IDE 6.00 Software, there is no window with family etc. This is really a pain in the ass..
lol. Maybe that's because he said in the video to use the MPLAB IPE software and not the MPLAB IDE ? There is indeed no "family" option in the IDE software... no need to update the video... just listen or read carefully (because the .txt that comes with the firmware is crystal clear on this topic).
KERMIT + PISTON + BIONIC = Deadly combination ... :0 :0
Still waiting for the next video
Thank for making this video! :)
After almost two years still my favorite eurorack oscillator. It's fantastic. Deep, yet simple. Thanks Scott
this and Piston Honda are crazy good
Part two?
where is the continuation of the tutorial???
THE GUY DOING THIS PRESENTATION SEEMS TO BE TERRIFIED
So, what’s happening with the Piston Honda MKIII? It’s in shortage for several months in all stores. Can we have an ETA? Thanks.
hate to be a doodooface but im 48 seconds in and I really havent been able to understand a word so far, your voice is too quiet relative to the synth noises
Show more of the creature, teacher. Mines on its way. This ain't no CZ!!
this was super helpful...thank you! I hope you make the other videos you mentioned, too.
Where are the rest of the videos?
Oscillator mode 13:36 Envelope mode 26:25 Random mode 33:04 Sample and Hold 37:00 Channel Link 44:48 External CV asignment 53:43 Internal cross mod assignment 57:40
Thank you! Thats really helpful.
THANK YOU! Was hoping someone had done this.

Love this module but it feels cramped for my fat fingers. . Might change out the knobs and see if that helps.
I feel like all their modules are just way too busy and cramped. The screens are so small as to be worthless IMO

Is it just me or do some of the filter sweeps sound a little ‘stepped’
It’s a digital filter
are you talking about the fully resonant sweeps? thats how all filters settle onto the harmonics of the waveform. its not stepped, there's just nothing there to resonate on this particular audio source.
Guhhhhhhhhhhhh This is what I'm looking for
Can’t wait to get one. I want an IME system. So far all I have is a PH MK1 but I’m saving my pennies. While people are hyped on beads I’m holding out for the IME granular, and a SH MK3!
WTF ??? can't find any link to download MPLAB ??? :(
Looking forward to part 2! Have the PH3 coming in the mail, can’t wait to put it to use
Worked a charm! I used the recommended clone! WTF is all the complaints about.
